"I've ran Fire Temple conquest 24 times now with not a single gold drop. Not One!" That was posted on r/Aion2 on 29 October, the same evening another player asked why their fourth Fire Temple pity box came with no boss drop. Fire Temple is the dungeon most AION 2 players farm for their weapon. It's also the one where the drop rates feel worst.
This guide covers Fire Temple on the AION 2 global PC build as of the 28 October 2026 patch: what you need to get in, how each boss works, what a clear actually pays, the real odds of an Enraged Kromede drop, and the voucher route that gets you your weapon even when the RNG doesn't. NC hasn't published drop rates for global, so the odds below come from global client data read by MetaBot and are labelled as such. Boss mechanics are cross-checked against Daeva Guides and creator run videos.
Quick answer: Fire Temple Conquest needs character level 45 and a 2,100 item level to enter, costs 40 Odyle Energy per claim, and pays about 400,000 Kina when you kill all three bosses. Your own class's Enraged Kromede weapon drops on roughly 0.86% of claims (client data). The reliable route is the Guaranteed Reward every 28 claims: take the Gear Change Voucher each time, then combine 3 vouchers + any spare Enraged Kromede weapon + 2,000,000 Kina into a Weapon Selection Chest. Kromede's Desire enrages at 5:00, and NC's 28 October patch cut Normal Expedition boss Attack by 15%.
What is Fire Temple in AION 2?
Fire Temple is a party Expedition at the Ancient Zumion Temple Site in Verteron. In the story, Kromede, a fallen Silent Judicator, broke into the temple to steal its relics and was consumed by the Mirror of Desire. You meet her at the end as Kromede's Desire.
You'll see it twice. The story sends you into Exploration at about level 37 (the quest is called Fire Temple for Elyos and Mirror of Greed for Asmodians). At level 45 you come back for Conquest, which is where the Enraged Kromede weapons and accessories drop. On global, Conquest is the only mode at that tier. The client contains higher difficulties, but NC hasn't opened a Fire Temple Hard. The 28 October patch added Hard to Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island, not Fire Temple. Our Hard mode guide covers the dungeons that do have it.
What do you need to enter Fire Temple?
| Mode | Level | Item level | Players | Odyle per claim |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exploration | 35 | 500 | 1–5 | 30 |
| Conquest | 45 | 2,100 | 1–5 | 40 |
The item level gate is the only hard requirement. Groups usually ask for more. In AionFlex's uploaded global kills of Kromede's Desire (all-time, as of 29 October), three in four uploaders who pulled their weight had about 101,000 Combat Power or more. That's what successful players brought, not what the boss requires, and players on r/Aion2 report evening groups asking for far more. If you keep getting kicked from party finder, our Combat Power guide explains which upgrades actually move the number.
Is there a weekly limit? Sources disagree. MetaBot's client read lists a reward limit of 10 per week, refilling on Wednesday. Other trackers report no weekly cap on global Conquest beyond Odyle Energy, plus a separate count of runs you can finish without claiming. Check the counter on the dungeon entry screen. In practice Odyle is the limit for almost everyone: at 40 per claim, natural regeneration covers about 21 claims a week.
What is the Fire Temple route?
The global client lists 97 monster packs (227 monsters) in Conquest across three rooms: the Path of Atonement, the Fire Corridor and the Mirror Altar. The route:
- Path of Atonement. The long corridor full of Lava Globs and Spark Spirits. There's a reset spot near the entrance: if you pull too much, run back in and the mobs drop aggro.
- Silver Blade Rotan patrols the temple and spots players from a wide circle, not just in front of him. He's optional. Walk around him unless you want his achievement.
- Two Coolant Consoles (3 seconds each) switch off the Lava Eruptions raining on the boss arenas. They're optional. Skip them if your group is fast.
- The two mid-bosses, Red Spark Ignus and Black Smoke Murute, sit on separate platforms. Do them in either order.
- Take the key near the last room and open the Mirror Altar door. The whole party is pulled into Kromede's Desire's arena and a barrier closes behind you. A wipe resets her.
Only one mid-boss is required to open the door. Kill both anyway. Each one adds its own Kina and its own drop roll to your claim, and skipping one lowers your odds on the drop you're farming for.
How do you beat the Fire Temple bosses?
Black Smoke Murute
- Ground slam: he raises an arm and a circle appears under every player. It goes off a little later than the telegraph suggests. Step out.
- Expanding blast: a ring grows out from him in waves. Guides count three or four waves, and the last one covers half the arena. Run out or dodge.
- Dash and boulder: a line charge, then a rock thrown forward. Don't stand in front of him.
- Tank tip: hold him at the side of the room so his circles don't cover the whole floor. Breaking his stagger bar during the big charge cancels it.
Red Spark Ignus
- Flame Bomb (from about 75% HP): he marks players. A few seconds later each mark explodes and leaves a lava pool for the rest of the fight. Drop yours at the edge of the room.
- Leap (from about 65%): he jumps to the centre and sets almost the whole room on fire. The only safe spot is right next to him. This is the attack that wipes groups on Ignus.
- Dashes: he then rushes each player in turn. Spread out so the hits don't stack.
- Star: five lines of fire around him. Touching one stuns you.
Kromede's Desire
- Leap: she jumps at the farthest player and knocks them down. Ranged DPS and healers need to know who's farthest out.
- Melee: frontal swings and a rectangular stomp that stuns. Melee stand behind her.
- Bow raised: small circles chase every player. Keep moving.
- Bow lowered: a line shot at each player. Don't stand in line with anyone.
- Fire walls (about 75% and 25% HP): she lifts off and sweeps around seven walls across the arena, each with one gap. The gap jumps left and right, so turn for it early, and earlier still on high ping. The second round adds shots from the arena edges. A hit sets you on fire: drink a yellow potion, and healers cleanse after each round. Daeva Guides calls these walls the biggest killer in the dungeon.
- Clones (from about 50%): each clone hits in a line, then swings wide in front. Dodge the first hit, then get behind it.
- Enrage at 5:00: she moves, casts and hits faster. Across 107,785 uploaded global kills on AionFlex (as of 29 October), the median kill took 3:15 and the middle half took 2:46 to 3:50. Only about one upload in ten ran past 4:22, so if your group is near five minutes, it's a damage check you're failing, not a mechanic.
What to bring: a movement speed scroll (run speed is the single most useful stat for the fire walls), yellow potions, and on Cleric or Chanter, the heal specializations that remove debuffs.
What does a Fire Temple Conquest claim pay?
With all three bosses dead, every claim pays a fixed base: about 400,000 Kina (140,000 from Kromede's Desire and 130,000 from each mid-boss), 2,000 Enhance Stones, 7 Silentium (Bound) and 1–4 Soul Codex (Bound). That makes Fire Temple one of the better Kina runs for the Odyle, and it's in our Kina farming guide for that reason.
On top of that, each boss rolls its own drops. MetaBot reads the reward cube odds from the global client as per claim, with every boss counted. Rounded, they look like this:
| Drop | Approx. chance per claim (all bosses, client data) |
|---|---|
| Enraged Kromede weapon, each class type | 0.86% |
| Enraged Kromede Necklace | 2% |
| Enraged Kromede Earrings | 3% |
| Enraged Kromede Ring | 3% |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) | 49% |
| Corrupted Judicator gear (Epic), per piece | 14–37% |
| Wrathful Ego | 4% |
| Wrathful Mind / Wrathful Will | 1% each |
| Sealed Kromede Wings | 1% |
| Artwork: Fire Temple | 1% |
Those claims also roll the mid-boss pieces, the Ignus Guard (about 4%) and Murute Earrings (about 10%). Sealed Kromede Wings unseal with 10 Radiant Odyle. Our wings guide covers whether that's worth it.
Why are Fire Temple drop rates so bad?
Because the drop you want is one of eight weapons. At 0.86% per claim, your class's Enraged Kromede weapon comes out about once every 116 claims on average. Here's what that means over time, using the client rate:
| Claims | Chance of your class's weapon by then |
|---|---|
| 28 (first Guaranteed Reward) | about 21% |
| 56 | about 38% |
| 84 | about 52% |
Any gold (Unique) Enraged Kromede piece, weapon or accessory, is more common. Client-data estimates put it at about one claim in seven. So the player with 24 clears and no gold drop was unlucky, but not impossibly so. The odds of that streak are roughly 1 in 40, and with thousands of players farming the dungeon every week, plenty of people hit it. NC hasn't published global drop rates, so treat every number here as a client-data estimate, not an official figure.
The practical answer is to stop waiting for the drop and plan around the Guaranteed Reward.
How do you get the Enraged Kromede weapon?
Every 28 claims, the Guaranteed Reward lets you pick one item, then the count resets. On global, the choices are:
- Gear Change Voucher: Fire Temple
- Enraged Kromede Necklace
- Enraged Kromede Earrings
- Enraged Kromede Ring
The weapon is never on that list on global. You build it instead:
- Keep the first Enraged Kromede weapon that drops, whatever its class. It's half the recipe, and an NPC shop only pays about 55,000 Kina for it.
- Take the voucher at every Guaranteed Reward until your weapon is done.
- At 3 vouchers, open Substance Morph → Gear → Fire Temple: Weapon Selection Chest. It takes the spare weapon, the 3 vouchers and 2,000,000 Kina (bound Kina counts) and always succeeds. Open it and pick your class's weapon.
Three vouchers take 84 claims. On Odyle regeneration alone that's about four weeks. The chest still needs that spare Enraged weapon, so the route isn't a hard guarantee. At about one Enraged weapon in 15 claims, client-data estimates put the chance of having one by claim 84 at roughly 99.7%. If you're the rare player still without one, keep claiming until it drops. A Membership double claim counts as 2 toward the 28, which shortens it. If your own class's weapon drops first, take it and use the remaining vouchers on accessories. One voucher plus 500,000 Kina morphs a Fire Temple: Accessory Selection Chest with your choice of necklace, earrings or ring. Picking the accessory directly at the Guaranteed Reward saves that 500,000.
Enraged Kromede gear can't be traded, but it goes through Server Storage, so a spare weapon for another class can equip one of your alts.
Is the Enraged Kromede weapon worth it? For most players sitting between a 2,100 and 2,500 entry item level, yes. The weapon itself is item level 86 and adds reach. Our best weapon guide compares it with Aulamus and the crafted Dragon Lord chain. If you're going to craft your weapon instead, skip the vouchers and pick accessories at every Guaranteed Reward. Then plan your enhancement, because an ilvl 86 weapon costs more Kina and stones to push than the one it replaces.
What changed in Fire Temple with the 28 October patch?
Fire Temple Conquest counts as a Normal Expedition, so NC's 28 October patch affected it directly:
- Boss Attack −15% in Normal Expeditions, per NC's 28 October patch notes. Ignus's leap and Kromede's walls still kill, but chip damage is easier to heal through.
- More base HP at level 45: +1,500 for Gladiator and Templar, +1,000 for every other class.
- Hidden Cubes appear more often, which matters if you're farming Soul Crystals between runs.
The patch notes announce no Fire Temple drop-rate changes. The full breakdown is in our AION 2 patch notes page.
What are the Fire Temple achievements and titles?
Conquest clears count toward the Fire Temple Conquest Clear achievement at 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 clears. You get the Fire Temple Tour Guide title at the first clear and a Statue: Mirror of Desire at 10. There's also a joke achievement: use the Lie Down emote (`/liedown`) in Kromede's boss room for the Kromede Will Remember That title, which gives Critical Damage Boost while equipped. Speed-clear achievements at 20, 10 and 7 minutes each pay a Resurrection Spiritstone.
FAQ
What level is Fire Temple in AION 2? Exploration opens at level 35 with item level 500. Conquest opens at level 45 with item level 2,100. The story quest takes you into Exploration at about level 37.
What does Fire Temple drop in AION 2? Conquest drops the Unique Enraged Kromede weapons (one per class) and Enraged Kromede necklace, earrings and ring, plus Epic Corrupted Judicator gear, Amplify Stone Fragments, Wrathful materials, Sealed Kromede Wings and the Fire Temple artwork. Each claim also pays about 400,000 Kina and 2,000 Enhance Stones if you kill all three bosses.
How many runs until the Fire Temple guaranteed reward? Every 28 claims. On global it offers a Gear Change Voucher or one of the three Enraged Kromede accessories, never the weapon itself.
How do you get the Enraged Kromede weapon for your class? Either it drops (about 0.86% per claim in client data), or you combine 3 Gear Change Vouchers, any spare Enraged Kromede weapon of another class and 2,000,000 Kina into a Weapon Selection Chest through Substance Morph. The 3 vouchers take 84 claims; the spare weapon still has to drop.
Is there a Fire Temple Hard mode on global? Not yet. As of the 28 October patch, Hard is open for Krao Cave, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island only. Videos showing a Fire Temple Hard are from the Korean version.
Can you solo Fire Temple? The dungeon allows 1–5 players and there are solo-clear achievements for both modes. Conquest solo is realistic only well above the 2,100 gate. Most players run it as a party of five.

The bottom line
Fire Temple Conquest is the weapon farm for most AION 2 players between 2,100 and 2,500 item level. The drop you want is rare by design: 0.86% per claim for your own class's weapon. Kill both mid-bosses on every run, keep the first spare Enraged weapon that drops, and take the voucher at every 28-claim Guaranteed Reward. For almost every player that ends in a weapon by claim 84, about four weeks of Odyle, whatever the class drops do. The 15% boss nerf on 28 October makes those runs a little safer. NC hasn't announced any change to the drops.
