Behaviour Interactive has a new Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops campaign queued for October 1, 2026, and it is framed differently from the chapter campaigns players are used to: four drops announced across the month rather than one three-tier ladder you clear in a single weekend.
This page was written on the morning of October 1, 2026, before the campaign's 11AM ET start, against the scheduled campaign listing and Behaviour's own announcement. The current live build is Patch 10.1.2a (September 17, 2026). Where a reward or a date has not been published by Behaviour, this page says so instead of guessing — every October DBD page on the web is currently fighting year-confusion with older Halloween material, and the difference matters when you are deciding how many hours to leave a stream running.
Quick answer: what is scheduled right now
- Campaign name: DbD: October of Horror, run by Behaviour Interactive Inc.
- Window: starts October 1, 2026 at 11AM ET, ends October 12, 2026.
- Channels: All Channels — any Dead by Daylight stream carrying the Drops Enabled tag counts.
- Drops announced: four across October. Only the first is listed on the campaign card so far.
- First reward: Corvidicus Malificus, unlocked at 1 hour of watch time.
- Earn window for drop one: October 1 to October 11.
- Setup: a Twitch account, linked to a Behaviour Account. Behaviour's support article confirms the link can be made after you watch.
What exactly did Behaviour announce?
The official @DeadbyDaylight account posted the announcement on September 30, 2026 at 17:00 UTC. The verbatim wording:
"We're bringing you tricks and treats this October, with four Twitch Drops to earn this month, starting tomorrow at 11AM ET during our October of Horror Broadcast."
The campaign listing on Twitch repeats the same framing in its own description: "We're diving into a month full of Tricks and Treats, with four drops this October. Earn the first one between October 1 and October 11."
Two things are worth pulling out of that. First, four drops are promised for October as a month — not four tiers of one campaign. The chapter campaigns in 2026 all used a single-window ladder (1h / 3h / 6h). The one card published so far covers October 1 to 12 and lists a single reward, so where the other three land has not been stated. Second, the 11AM ET start is tied to a broadcast, which is historically how Behaviour reveals the rest of a seasonal lineup.
The October 11 versus October 12 question
The campaign card says the campaign ends October 12, while the description says to earn the first drop between October 1 and October 11. The most likely explanation is Behaviour's standard campaign boundary: the official Twitch Drops support article documents the Chorus of Sin campaign as running August 25 at 11:00 AM ET through September 8 at 10:59 AM ET. A closing minute of 10:59 AM ET puts the final hour on one calendar day and the card's end label on the next.
Behaviour has not published the exact October closing time, so treat that as an inference rather than a fact. The safe play either way: work to October 11 as your deadline for drop one. Finishing an hour on the 11th costs nothing; discovering on the 12th that the window shut mid-morning costs the reward.
Every October of Horror drop confirmed so far
| Reward | Watch time | Earn window | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corvidicus Malificus | 1 hour | October 1 – October 11, 2026 | On the campaign card |
| Drop 2 | Not published | Not published | Announced, details pending |
| Drop 3 | Not published | Not published | Announced, details pending |
| Drop 4 | Not published | Not published | Announced, details pending |
Corvidicus Malificus is sourced from the campaign card itself, not from a Behaviour news post. Behaviour's support article for Twitch Drops had not been updated past the August 25 campaign at the time of writing — it still describes the Chorus of Sin rewards. The item name and the 1-hour requirement come straight off the scheduled campaign, which is the most reliable source available for a day-one reward, but the reward type (charm, badge, banner, mask, outfit) has not been stated anywhere official, so this page does not assert one.
That restraint matters. Precedent across 2026 is that the 1-hour tier is a small item, never a full outfit — usually a badge or a charm, occasionally a weapon cosmetic. Anyone telling you the first October drop is a skin is extrapolating.
How do you actually claim Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops?
The flow has four steps:
- Watch any eligible stream. Any channel in the Dead by Daylight directory showing the Drops Enabled tag counts, and this campaign is set to All Channels, so there is no curated streamer list to check. Progress fills automatically while you are logged into Twitch and the stream is playing.
- Claim before it expires. When the bar fills, a notification appears in chat; you can also claim from the Twitch drops inventory page. You have roughly 24 hours to claim before the drop expires.
- Link a Behaviour Account to Twitch. This can be done from the Dead by Daylight account-linking page or from Twitch Settings → Connections. Behaviour's support article is explicit that you can claim drops by owning a Twitch account and link to a Behaviour Account afterwards — so forgetting the link before you watch is recoverable, unlike most watch-time campaigns.
- Collect in game. Rewards land in your Dead by Daylight inventory within a few minutes of the link resolving. Restart the game if they do not appear.
The misconception that costs people the most hours
A recurring theme in community threads is not that drops fail to arrive — it is that people expect the wrong thing from them. One player put it bluntly: "For past year I've been watching dbd streams, drops only give charm badge and banner."
That matches the record, and it is worth internalising before you leave a stream running overnight. No 2026 Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops campaign has given Bloodpoints. If Bloodpoints are what you are after, codes are the mechanism, not drops — see our running DBD codes page for October 2026, which tracks which codes are live and which have died, with dates.
What have past Dead by Daylight drops actually been worth?
The 2026 ladder history, compiled from the public Twitch drops campaign archive, is the best predictor you have for what the remaining three October drops will look like:
| Campaign | 1h tier | 2h tier | 3h tier | 6h tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DbD: Chorus of Sin (Aug 25 – Sep 8) | The Grimoire Badge | — | Aurora Figurine Charm | Day of Reckoning Banner |
| DbD: The Black Banquet | Fine Cutlery Weapon | — | Amuse Bouche Mask | Bloody Banter Body |
| Dead by Daylight: Jason | Camper's Shelter Badge | — | Slasher's Mask Charm | Red Omen Banner |
| DbD: RUIN Rift | Reanimated Rabbit Charm | — | Crusader's Helm Badge | We Are The Flame Banner |
| All Kill: Comeback | MiNA Figurine Charm | — | Dead End Banner | Ruby Cushy Sweater |
| #IntoTheRainbow 2026 (Aug 3 – Aug 11) | — | Pride-themed banners | — | — |
| DbD 10th Anniversary | — | Sealed Letter Badge | — | — |
| DbD: Blood Moon Event | — | Moonbite Charm | — | — |
Behaviour's own support wording for the Chorus of Sin campaign states the total cost plainly:
"To receive all the available rewards, one must watch 6 hours of streams in total from the Dead by Daylight Twitch Directory."
Read that table and the shape is clear. The 6-hour tier is the only one that has produced a wearable body or outfit — Bloody Banter Body, Ruby Cushy Sweater. The lower tiers run badges, charms and banners, with The Black Banquet's Fine Cutlery Weapon at 1h and Amuse Bouche Mask at 3h as the notable exceptions. If October of Horror genuinely spreads four drops rather than stacking one ladder, the odds of an outfit-grade reward drop, because the structure that produced outfits was the deep end of a single ladder.
One campaign in the archive is worth flagging as a different animal: a separate Chorus of Sin campaign ran July 30 to August 1, 2026 and gave "1 chance for Early Access" at the 1-hour mark, on a curated list of roughly 350 named channels rather than All Channels. October of Horror is explicitly All Channels, so there is no streamer-list homework this time.
Is October of Horror the same thing as Haunted by Daylight?
No, and conflating them is the most common error on competing pages right now.
October of Horror is a Twitch Drops campaign. It has a published name, a published start date, and a campaign card. Haunted by Daylight is the in-game Halloween event, and as of October 1, 2026, Behaviour has not published its 2026 dates — there is no 2026 Haunted by Daylight article in Behaviour's support centre at all. Several third-party trackers are nonetheless printing "18 October – 6 November 2026" for it. That is the 2023 calendar with the year swapped; 2023's event genuinely ran 18 October to 6 November, and nothing about 2026 has been confirmed.
We track that separately on our Dead by Daylight Halloween event page, which will be updated the moment dates are published rather than filled in with a plausible guess. The same applies to the licensed Terrifier chapter widely expected this autumn: no published date, no claim here.
How busy is the directory right now?
Watch-time campaigns are easier to clear when the directory is healthy, and this one opens into a strong one. At the time of writing on October 1, 2026, the Dead by Daylight Twitch directory showed roughly 19,200 viewers across 1,367 live channels, while the game itself was running 25,816 concurrent players on Steam according to Valve's player-count API.
The practical consequence of All Channels plus more than 1,300 live streams is that you will not be fighting for a slot or hunting a specific creator. Pick any stream with the Drops Enabled tag, confirm you are logged in, and the hour clears itself.
Which build does this apply to?
Everything above applies to Patch 10.1.2a, published September 17, 2026, which remains the live build. Patch 10.2.0 is still PTB-only — it entered public test on September 15 and has no live date, so any page telling you October's drops are "10.2.0 rewards" is ahead of the facts. The perk changes in that PTB are substantial, and when they ship we will refresh our killer tier list and survivor tier list against the live values rather than the test ones.
If you are coming back to the game for the event month and need orientation on who is actually worth playing, our full killer roster breakdown covers the current lineup.
FAQ
What are the Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops for October 2026? The campaign is called DbD: October of Horror and runs from October 1 to October 12, 2026. Behaviour has announced four drops across the month. The first confirmed reward is Corvidicus Malificus, earned by watching 1 hour of Dead by Daylight streams between October 1 and October 11.
How long do I need to watch for the first October drop? One hour of a Dead by Daylight stream carrying the Drops Enabled tag, while logged into Twitch.
Do Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops give Bloodpoints? No. Across every 2026 campaign, Dead by Daylight Twitch Drops have given cosmetics — charms, badges, banners, masks, weapon skins and occasionally a body at the 6-hour tier. Bloodpoints come from codes redeemed in the in-game store, not from drops.
Which streamers do I need to watch? Any of them. The October of Horror campaign is set to All Channels, so any stream in the Dead by Daylight directory with the Drops Enabled tag counts — roughly 1,367 live channels as of October 1, 2026.
Do I have to link my Behaviour Account before I watch? No. Behaviour's support article states you can claim drops by owning a Twitch account and link to a Behaviour Account afterwards. Linking first is still simpler, because the reward then lands in game without an extra step.
Why does one source say the campaign ends October 11 and another says October 12? Behaviour's documented campaigns close at 10:59 AM ET, so the final hour falls on one calendar day and the end-date label on the next. Behaviour has not published October's exact closing time, so work to October 11 for the first drop.
Do unclaimed drops expire? Yes. Once a drop unlocks you have roughly 24 hours to claim it from the chat notification or the Twitch drops inventory page. Unclaimed drops also expire when the campaign ends.
My drop did not appear in game — what now? Confirm the drop was actually claimed on the Twitch drops inventory page, check that your Twitch and Behaviour accounts are linked, then restart Dead by Daylight. Rewards normally land within a few minutes.
Is Haunted by Daylight 2026 running at the same time? Behaviour has not published 2026 dates for Haunted by Daylight as of October 1, 2026. Any site printing specific October or November dates for it is recycling an earlier year's calendar.
