FC 27 Division Rivals pays more than any Rivals ladder EA has shipped, and it pays it far less evenly. Division 1's weekly Upgrade envelope is 95,000 coins. Division 8's is zero. That gap is deliberate — EA wrote it into the Launch Update — and it changes which weeks are worth grinding and which are worth skipping.
Where we are right now: FC 27 launched worldwide on 25 September 2026 (PC unlocked 24 September at 23:00 UTC, early access 18 September), and Ultimate Team is in Season 1, which ends on 22 October 2026. Everything below is Season 1 data.
This is the full Season 1 reward table for all 11 divisions at both tiers, plus the coin math nobody publishes: what the 15-to-30 point step actually buys, how many weeks of weekly rewards it takes to reach Champions, what your player items are really worth next to the coins, and where you land when Season 2 resets the ladder on 22 October 2026.
Quick answer (TLDR): FC 27 has 11 Rivals divisions. Weekly rewards come in two tiers — Base at 15–29 weekly points, Upgrade at 30+. Upgrade coins run from 122,500 at Elite down to 2,500 at Division 7 and 0 at Divisions 8–10. Critically, the CQP grant is identical at both tiers in every division except Division 5 — so the extra 15 points (five wins) buys coins and packs, not faster Champions qualification. Rewards release Thursdays at 06:59 UTC. Season 1 ends 22 October 2026, and every division relegates on reset.

What Actually Changed in FC 27 Division Rivals?
EA was explicit in the FC 27 Launch Update Pitch Notes (14 September 2026) that the spread between divisions was widened on purpose:
"In EA SPORTS FC 27, we're creating a more noticeable difference in rewards between Divisions, giving you more to play for as you move up the Rivals ladder."
Three other changes in the same section matter to the math below:
- More coins. EA: "We're also increasing the amount of FUT Coins available through Rivals, and all Pack rewards will be tradeable at launch." Tradeability is the reason coin math on Rivals rewards is possible this year at all.
- Post-match coins went up too. EA's baseline: "Compared to the roughly 500 to 600 FUT Coins typically earned from a match in EA SPORTS FC 26, Champions and Rivals will have the potential to reward several times more Coins." EA published no multiplier — treat "several times more" as the only official magnitude.
- The Division 6 gate is gone. EA: "The Division 6 requirement for Champions qualification has been removed." And: "Higher Rivals Divisions will allow you to earn CQP faster, but your Division will no longer determine whether you can play toward qualification."
Structurally, the ladder is unchanged. Per EA Help, "There are 11 Divisions in Rivals, with Divisions 10–1, and then the Elite Division." A win moves you up one Stage, two consecutive wins start a Win Streak worth two Stages per further win, a draw holds, a loss may drop you. Weekly points are 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss — that split is community-tracked by fifauteam, not published by EA, which only says "Win a set number of points before the end of each week."
FC 27 Rivals Upgrade Rewards: Every Division
Upgrade Rewards need 30+ weekly points — ten clean wins. The table below is fifauteam's Season 1 capture, and Division 1 matches EA's own published slide line for line (95,000 coins, 4x 84+ Gold Players Pack, 5x 83+ Gold Players Pack, 1 of 5 83+ Gold Players, Giant Gold Pack, TOTW Player Pack), which is the best available check on the rest of it.
| Division | Coins | CQP | Player items |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 122,500 | 1,000 | 5x 83+, 5x 84+, Giant Gold Pack, TOTW Player, 1x 84+ pick (1 of 5) |
| 1 | 95,000 | 750 | 5x 83+, 4x 84+, Giant Gold Pack, TOTW Player, 1x 83+ pick (1 of 5) |

| 10 | 0 | 50 | 3x 81+ |
All pack rewards are tradeable at launch, per EA.
FC 27 Rivals Base Rewards: Every Division
Base Rewards need 15–29 weekly points — five wins gets you there.
| Division | Coins | CQP | Player items |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 62,500 | 1,000 | 2x 84+, 5x 83+, 2x 83+ picks (1 of 5) |
| 1 | 47,500 | 750 | 2x 84+, 5x 83+, 1x 83+ pick (1 of 5) |
| 2 | 35,000 | 600 | 5x 83+, 5x 82+, 1x 81+ pick (1 of 4) |
| 3 | 25,000 | 500 | 5x 83+, 2x 81+ picks (1 of 4) |
| 4 | 17,500 | 400 | 5x 82+, 2x 81+ picks (1 of 4) |
| 5 | 10,000 | 200 | 5x 80+, 1x Gold pick, 1x 81+ pick |
| 6 | 5,000 | 150 | 5x 80+, 1x Gold pick, 1x 80+ pick |
| 7 | 0 | 100 | 3x 80+, 1x 80+ pick |
| 8 | 0 | 80 | 3x 80+, 1x Gold pick |
| 9 | 0 | 60 | 3x 80+ |
| 10 | 0 | 50 | 2x Gold Players |
Why Does the 15-to-30 Point Step Only Pay Coins?
Put the two CQP columns side by side and something falls out that no tracker page flags: the CQP grant is byte-identical at Base and Upgrade in ten of eleven divisions. Elite pays 1,000 either way. Division 1 pays 750 either way. Division 6 pays 150 either way. The single exception is Division 5, where Base pays 200 and Upgrade pays 400.
That reframes the second half of your week. If your only goal this window is a Champions entry, the 16th weekly point onward is worth nothing toward it — anywhere except Division 5. What those extra five wins do buy is coins:
| Division | Base coins | Upgrade coins | Extra coins | Per extra win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 62,500 | 122,500 | +60,000 | 12,000 |
| 1 | 47,500 | 95,000 | +47,500 | 9,500 |
| 2 | 35,000 | 72,500 | +37,500 | 7,500 |
| 3 | 25,000 | 52,500 | +27,500 | 5,500 |
| 4 | 17,500 | 37,500 | +20,000 | 4,000 |
| 5 | 10,000 | 22,500 | +12,500 | 2,500 |
| 6 | 5,000 | 12,500 | +7,500 | 1,500 |
| 7 | 0 | 2,500 | +2,500 | 500 |
| 8–10 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
"Per extra win" assumes a clean five-win run from 15 to 30 points. Draws pay one point, so a messy run dilutes it — three draws and four wins covers the same 15 points across seven matches and drops Elite's rate to about 8,570 coins a match.
The honest read: at Elite an extra win is worth 8 times what it is worth in Division 6 and 24 times what it is worth in Division 7, and in Divisions 8–10 the Upgrade tier pays no coins at all. Below Division 7, chasing 30 points is a pack-quality decision, not a coin decision. Post-match coins keep accruing either way, and our per-mode coins-per-hour breakdown covers where that income is actually best spent.
Which Rivals Division Is Actually Worth Grinding?
Normalise the Upgrade envelope against the 30 points it costs and the ladder's shape gets blunt.
- Elite: 122,500 coins ÷ 30 points = 4,083 coins per weekly point, about 12,250 per win.
- Division 6: 12,500 ÷ 30 = 417 coins per weekly point, about 1,250 per win.
- Division 8 and below: 0 coins per point from weekly rewards.
Across a full Season 1, that compounds. Season 1 runs 17 September to 22 October 2026 — five weekly reward drops (24 September, then 1, 8, 15 and 22 October), though standard-edition players who started at worldwide launch realistically had four. Hitting Upgrade every week returns roughly:
| Division | 4 weeks | 5 weeks |
|---|---|---|
| Elite | 490,000 | 612,500 |
| 1 | 380,000 | 475,000 |
| 3 | 210,000 | 262,500 |
| 6 | 50,000 | 62,500 |
| 8–10 | 0 | 0 |
One caveat worth respecting: two of those steps are worth less than they look at reset. Finishing Division 2 and finishing Division 1 both relegate you to Division 3 when Season 2 starts, so the Division 2 → Division 1 climb buys the extra 22,500 coins a week and nothing at all in ladder position. Only the jump into Elite improves where you restart.
How Many Weeks of Rivals Rewards Does 1,000 CQP Take?
Season 1's qualification bar is 1,000 CQP, a figure tracked consistently across fifauteam, skycoach and other FC 27 reward databases. EA has not published a CQP threshold for FC 27, so treat 1,000 as community-verified rather than official.
Weekly rewards alone get you there in:
| Division | Weekly CQP | Weeks to 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Elite | 1,000 | 1 |
| 1 | 750 | 2 |
| 2 | 600 | 2 |
| 3 | 500 | 2 |
| 4 | 400 | 3 |
| 5 (Upgrade) | 400 | 3 |
| 6 | 150 | 7 |
| 7 | 100 | 10 |
| 8 | 80 | 13 |
| 9 | 60 | 17 |
| 10 | 50 | 20 |
Read that column carefully before you panic: it is a floor, not a forecast. Weekly rewards are not the only CQP source. EA Help states you "Earn Ultimate Team Champions Qualification Points based on the Division you're playing in" per match, Bounties can grant CQP instantly, and in FC 27 Squad Battles pays CQP too — EA: "Squad Battles will also award Champions Qualification Points, giving PvE players a new way to work toward Champions qualification." EA publishes no per-match CQP rate in any mode, so nobody can total your week for you.
What the table does tell you is where weekly rewards stop doing the work. From Division 6 down, seven-plus weeks of weekly grants against a five-week season means per-match CQP, Bounties and Squad Battles are carrying your qualification, not your Thursday envelope. If you are in that band, the Bounties breakdown and the Squad Battles reward tiers are the two levers that matter most. For the Finals side, see our FUT Champions Season 1 guide.

Are the Rivals Player Items Worth Anything Next to the Coins?
This is where FC 27 diverges from every previous Rivals year, and it is the part most reward tables bury. Because all pack rewards are tradeable at launch, you can finally price the whole envelope in coins — and when you do, the players almost disappear.
Take the Elite Upgrade drop. Alongside 122,500 coins you get ten guaranteed 83+/84+ items, a Giant Gold Pack, a TOTW Player and an 84+ pick. FUT.GG tracked the 84-rated floor at roughly 650 coins on 27 September 2026; floors move daily, so run the sensitivity instead of trusting one number:
- At 650 coins an item, ten items ≈ 6,500 coins — coins are 95% of the liquid value.
- At 1,200 coins an item, ten items ≈ 12,000 coins — coins are 91%.
- At 2,000 coins an item — triple the tracked floor — ten items ≈ 20,000 coins, and coins are still 86%.
Minus the market's 5% sale tax, every one of those cases lands in the same place: the coin line is the reward, and the player items are fodder with a nice card back. That holds at every division, and it gets more extreme the lower you go, because the item ratings fall while the coin line falls faster.
The practical consequence: do not evaluate a Rivals week by the cards you pulled. Evaluate it by the coin line, then decide whether the items are worth more to you as Streamlined SBC fodder than as sale listings.
What Happens to Your Division When Season 2 Starts?
Season 2 opens 22 October 2026 (EA-confirmed in the Launch Rewards Pitch Notes). Nobody keeps their division. EA Help is blunt: "When a new Ultimate Team Season starts, all competitors will be dropped from the Division that you previously finished in."
Per fifauteam's Season 1 capture, the drop is not uniform:
| Finished Season 1 in | Starts Season 2 in |
|---|---|
| Elite | Division 2 |
| Division 1 | Division 3 |
| Division 2 | Division 3 |
| Division 3 | Division 5 |
| Division 4 | Division 6 |
| Division 5 | Division 7 |
| Division 6 | Division 8 |
| Division 7 | Division 8 |
| Division 8 | Division 9 |
| Division 9 | Division 9 |
| Division 10 | Division 10 |
Two things fall out. Elite is the only finish that starts you above Division 3, which is the real argument for pushing through Division 1 in the final week. And at the bottom, Divisions 9 and 10 do not drop at all — there is nowhere further to fall — so a late-season slide from Division 7 costs you nothing below that line.
The Rule the Trackers Still Get Wrong
Worth flagging, because it will cost someone a week: several long-standing tracker pages — including fifauteam's own general Rivals explainer — still state that you need Division 6 or higher for Champions Finals and that Division 7 and below routes you to Challengers. That is FC 26 behaviour. EA removed it in FC 27, in writing: "The Division 6 requirement for Champions qualification has been removed."
EA's own Help article has the same lag problem from the other direction — it still describes a Play-Offs stage feeding the Finals, and it is stamped as updated three months ago. EA's FC 27 Launch Update says only that "the 15-match Champions Finals structure returns." Community tracking of the live build reports no Play-Offs round in Season 1. Until EA refreshes that page, treat the Play-Offs language as carried-over FC 26 documentation. We covered the removal in detail in the Division 6 change explainer.
When Are FC 27 Rivals Rewards Released?
One clock, and EA publishes it verbatim on the Rivals Help page: "Rewards are released on Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC." That is the only reward time EA documents anywhere in Ultimate Team.
Rewards are claimed, not pushed — EA: "Once the weekly competition ends, you can claim your Weekly Rewards in-game or on the Ultimate Team Web and the Companion Apps." Coins, CQP and Player Picks apply the moment you claim; packs can sit unopened in the Store indefinitely, which is the standard move if a promo is about to change what you want out of them. Full timing breakdown across modes is in our reset-times guide.
Short on weeks, not on ambition? Season 1's coin curve rewards the top of the ladder ten times harder than the middle, and the ladder resets on 22 October.

FAQ
How many coins do FC 27 Rivals rewards give? Upgrade Rewards pay 122,500 coins at Elite, 95,000 in Division 1, 52,500 in Division 3, 12,500 in Division 6 and 2,500 in Division 7. Divisions 8, 9 and 10 pay no coins in either tier. Base Rewards pay roughly half the Upgrade figure — 62,500 at Elite, 47,500 in Division 1 — and nothing below Division 6.
What's the difference between Base and Upgrade Rivals rewards? Base needs 15–29 weekly points, Upgrade needs 30 or more, at 3 points per win and 1 per draw. Upgrade roughly doubles the coins and improves the player items. The CQP grant is identical at both tiers in every division except Division 5, where Base pays 200 and Upgrade pays 400.
How much CQP do I need to qualify for FC 27 Champions? Season 1's threshold is tracked at 1,000 CQP by fifauteam and other FC 27 reward databases — EA has not published the number. Weekly rewards alone deliver that in one week from Elite, two from Divisions 1–3, and three from Divisions 4–5. Per-match CQP, Bounties and Squad Battles all add to the total, so lower divisions are not locked out.
Do I still need Division 6 to reach FUT Champions in FC 27? No. EA removed it: "The Division 6 requirement for Champions qualification has been removed." Your division now controls how fast you earn CQP, not whether you can qualify. Tracker pages still showing the Division 6 / Challengers split are describing FC 26.
What time are FC 27 Rivals rewards released? Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC, per EA's Rivals Help article. Rewards must be claimed in-game, on the Web App or in the Companion App — they are not pushed to your club automatically.
Which division do I start Season 2 in? Elite finishers start in Division 2, Division 1 and Division 2 finishers both start in Division 3, Division 3 finishers start in Division 5, and the drop continues down the ladder. Divisions 9 and 10 do not drop. Season 2 begins 22 October 2026.
Are FC 27 Rivals player rewards worth selling? Usually, yes. All Rivals pack rewards are tradeable at launch, and the coin line dwarfs the item value — even pricing 83+/84+ items at triple their tracked floor, coins are still about 86% of an Elite Upgrade drop's liquid value. Keep items you need as SBC fodder or squad upgrades; list the rest.
