FC 27 Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) is expected on Friday 6 November 2026 at 6pm UK time, the moment Ultimate Scream ends. EA has put the promo on its Launch Roadmap but has not confirmed a date, a squad or an upgrade path. The bigger trap is what comes after release. If EA reuses last year's "7 points in the next 4 matches" target, history says most cards will miss it: we checked all 72 clubs in the 2025-26 Champions League and Europa League, and only 29 got there.
Below are the expected dates, last year's path and what FC 27 rules change in it, the first day cards can move, our club-by-club fixture table, and what to do with your coins this week.
TLDR: FC 27 RTTK in 30 seconds. Expected: Friday 6 November, 6pm UK (18:00 UTC). Not confirmed by EA: date, squad, upgrade path, length. Men's cards are unlikely to upgrade early: the next men's UEFA matches after 5 November are on 24 to 26 November, so the first men's round is likely Friday 27 November. The 7-point test: in 2025-26, 14 of 36 UCL clubs and 15 of 36 UEL clubs took 7+ points from their last four matches. Pot 1 didn't protect you: only 4 of 9 hit it in each competition. Buy for today's stats and treat any upgrade as a bonus.

When does FC 27 RTTK come out?
Expect RTTK on Friday 6 November 2026 at 6pm UK time (18:00 UTC). That date is an inference, not an EA announcement: EA calls Ultimate Scream "two terrifying weeks" from 23 October (EA, Ultimate Scream), and fut.gg's RTTK guide puts the end at 6pm UK on 6 November, with no reliable Team 1 leak as of 30 October.
The promo name comes from the roadmap graphic in EA's Launch Update, which fut.gg transcribes as four Season 2 campaigns in this order: Ultimate Scream, UEFA Road to the Knockouts, Hall of FUT: Unleashed and Black Friday: Thunderstruck. It gives no dates.
| Item | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| RTTK is a Season 2 campaign | Confirmed | EA Launch Roadmap |
| Ultimate Scream lasts two weeks | Confirmed | EA |
| Token Store stays open one extra week | Confirmed | EA |
| RTTK starts 6 November, 6pm UK | Expected | fut.gg, Friday release pattern |
| Team 2 on 13 November | Unknown | Depends on length |
| Squad, ratings, upgrade path | Not published | None yet |
The length is the open question. Fut.gg notes that RTTK ran two weeks in FC 24 and FC 25, while last year's UEFA Primetime ran one, so Hall of FUT: Unleashed could arrive on either 13 or 20 November.
How will FC 27 RTTK upgrades work?
EA hasn't published the path and normally does so on launch day. EA's UEFA Primetime article from last year is the closest template, since fut.gg describes Primetime as RTTK under another name. Here is the UCL and UEL path EA used, with the UECL figures alongside.
| FC 26 target | UCL, UEL | UECL | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Club points | 7+ in next 4 | 4+ in next 3 | +1 OVR |
| Player appears in a win | 1 in next 4 | 1 in next 3 | Role+ and 1 PlayStyle |
| Personal output | Next 4 | Next 3 | Role++ and 1 PlayStyle |
| Club finishes top 8 | Yes | Yes | 1 PlayStyle+ or 2 PlayStyles |
| Club scores in different matches | 4 matches | 3 matches | +1 OVR |
Personal output meant a goal or assist for attackers and midfielders. Defenders needed a clean sheet or no cards, and the UECL path counted goals and assists only. Don't expect that table to return unchanged, for two reasons:
- Roles are already unlocked. EA's Launch Update says "all Campaign Player Items will launch with all of their position's Roles++ unlocked" (EA, Launch Update). The Role parts of two rewards above would add nothing as written.
- PlayStyles+ are tighter. EA's FUT Deep Dive cut the maximum on a single item from five to three, and the Launch Update wants "a tighter range of Item upgrades" across campaigns.
So the two points-and-goals targets are the likeliest to survive. They are also the part you can test against real results.
When can RTTK cards actually upgrade?
Men's RTTK cards are unlikely to move in their first three weeks, though EA hasn't published FC 27's schedule. After Matchday 4 ends on 5 November, the next men's UEFA fixtures are on 24 to 26 November. Fut.gg's reading of EA's FC 25 rule is that upgrades land on the Friday after each matchweek, which makes Friday 27 November the first likely men's round. Women's cards could move first, with UWCL matches on 10 to 12 and 18 to 19 November.
If EA copies FC 26, only matches after launch count. If it copies FC 25, every league phase match counts, according to fut.gg. That makes this week's Matchday 4 either irrelevant or already part of the sum, and it's the first line to check when the path appears.
Remaining fixtures after 6 November:
| Competition | Matchdays left | Dates |
|---|---|---|
| Champions League | 4 | 24-25 Nov, 8-9 Dec, 19-20 Jan, 27 Jan |
| Europa League | 4 | 26 Nov, 10 Dec, 21 Jan, 28 Jan |
| Conference League | 3 | 26 Nov, 10 Dec, 17 Dec |
| Women's Champions League | 3 | 10-12 Nov, 18-19 Nov, 16 Dec |
That's a long hold. On last year's path, 7 points could land after three matches, but the top-8 and four-match scoring targets can't finish until late January, in Season 4. Fut.gg also says EA's older RTTK FAQs ruled out further upgrades for players who leave their club, so the January window is a real risk too.
How many clubs hit last year's RTTK targets?
Fewer than most players assume. We took all 72 results from Matchdays 5 to 8 in each 2025-26 league phase, the same four rounds last year's "next 4 matches" targets covered, and tested every club.
| 2025-26 test, Matchdays 5 to 8 | UCL | UEL |
|---|---|---|
| 7+ points | 14 of 36 (39%) | 15 of 36 (42%) |
| Scored in all 4 matches | 12 of 36 (33%) | 11 of 36 (31%) |
| Did both, so both +1 OVR steps | 10 of 36 (28%) | 7 of 36 (19%) |
| Pot 1 clubs with 7+ points | 4 of 9 | 4 of 9 |
| Clubs on 9+ after Matchday 4 with 7+ points | 3 of 9 | 5 of 7 |
The Conference League target was kinder: 19 of 36 clubs took 4+ points from their last three matches, and 12 scored in all three.
Three results should change how you price these cards:
- A big club is no safe bet. Inter took 3 points from those four matches, Borussia Dortmund 4, Paris Saint-Germain 5, and Real Madrid and Manchester City 6 each. All five missed from Pot 1.
- Early form barely helped in the Champions League. Inter had 12 points from four matches, then fell out of the top 8. Only 4 of the 8 clubs in the top 8 after Matchday 4 finished there, so a top-8 reward isn't locked in either. The Europa League held up better, with 6 of 8 staying.
- Fixture lists explained little. We ranked clubs by the average UEFA coefficient of their last four opponents. The easiest third averaged 6.6 points in the UCL and the hardest third 6.3, with 5 of 12 reaching 7 in both groups.
This is one season and a small sample, so read it as a warning about confidence, not a forecast. The practical number is roughly two in five. If a card only makes sense with the upgrade, you are paying for a coin flip that lands badly more often than not.

Which clubs have the easiest RTTK fixtures?
Fixtures are a tie-break, not a reason to buy, but they're the only club data available before EA names the squad. The table shows every Champions League club likely to appear, ordered by the average 2026 UEFA coefficient of its four remaining opponents, where lower is easier. Points are after three matchdays, since Matchday 4 is played on 3 and 4 November.
| Club | Points | Home games left | Avg opponent coefficient | Matchdays 5 to 8 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Atlético Madrid | 4 | 2 | 50.3 | Viking, PSV, Bodø/Glimt, Fenerbahçe |
| Barcelona | 6 | 2 | 58.9 | Sabah, Man City, Sporting, Como |
| Paris Saint-Germain | 9 | 2 | 63.6 | Roma, Aston Villa, Como, Galatasaray |
| Bayern Munich | 5 | 2 | 65.9 | Lille, Slavia Prague, Man United, Real Betis |
| Real Madrid | 9 | 2 | 66.9 | PSV, Arsenal, LASK, Shakhtar |
| Manchester City | 6 | 2 | 69.2 | Napoli, Barcelona, Lens, Sporting |
| Inter | 3 | 2 | 73.6 | Stuttgart, Dortmund, Liverpool, Slovan Bratislava |
| Liverpool | 9 | 2 | 74.9 | Club Brugge, Porto, Inter, Lens |
| Arsenal | 7 | 3 | 81.4 | Dortmund, Real Madrid, Real Betis, Sabah |
| Aston Villa | 9 | 2 | 82.6 | Galatasaray, PSG, Dortmund, Slavia Prague |
| Borussia Dortmund | 6 | 2 | 88.2 | Arsenal, Inter, Aston Villa, AEK Athens |
| Sporting CP | 6 | 2 | 103.2 | Man United, Roma, Barcelona, Man City |
Atlético's run stands out among the big names, and Villarreal has the lowest figure of all 36 at 46.1. Sporting's is the highest. Arsenal is the only club here with three home games left. A coefficient is a five-year record, not current form, so it undersells rising clubs: Real Betis (9 points) and Como (6) both sit above several Pot 1 sides.
Our figures come from the fixtures, results and coefficients on the league phase page, and UEFA's standings are the place to follow the live table. We'll update this post after Matchday 4 and when EA publishes the squad.
What should you do with your coins before RTTK?
Hold your coins until the path is out, then buy on stats. Here's the order for this week:
- Finish your Ultimate Scream tokens first. EA says the store "will remain open for an additional week", which fut.gg dates to 13 November, but don't assume objective timers get that week too. Our token store ranking shows what's worth buying.
- Don't buy RTTK cards before the path is public. A leak gives you names. Only EA's article tells you which matches count and whether the path pays OVR.
- Skip release night if you want an upgrade play. Men's cards are unlikely to move before late November, so paying the launch price for a future upgrade probably gets you nothing for three weeks. Our weekly market cycle explains when cards tend to get cheaper.
- Keep reserves for 27 November. The first men's round lands on the expected date of Black Friday, and our Black Friday guide covers what EA has and hasn't confirmed.
- Check three things before any purchase: does the card start in your team today, would you still buy it if the club misses the target, and is the club in the easier half of the table above?
Who will be in FC 27 RTTK Team 1?
Nobody outside EA knows yet. Fut.gg had seen no reliable leak as of 30 October, and our search on 2 November found none. Ultimate Scream leaked three days before release, so names could surface midweek. Expect around 15 players, because EA's Launch Update says "Campaign squads will have a tighter spread of Attributes and PlayStyle boosts" and promised smaller squads, and fut.gg expects players from all four UEFA competitions.
FAQ
When does FC 27 RTTK come out? It's expected on Friday 6 November 2026 at 6pm UK time (18:00 UTC), when Ultimate Scream ends. EA has listed it on the roadmap but hasn't confirmed the date.
What does RTTK stand for? Road to the Knockouts, a live Ultimate Team promo whose cards upgrade on results in the UEFA league phases. FC 26 ran it as UEFA Primetime, and EA's FC 27 roadmap brings back the old name.
How do FC 27 RTTK upgrades work? EA hasn't published them. Last year's path gave +1 OVR for 7+ club points in four matches and +1 OVR for scoring in four matches, plus top-8 and personal rewards. FC 27's Roles++ rule means this year's path should differ.
When will RTTK cards upgrade? Women's cards could move from 13 November. Men's cards likely won't move before Friday 27 November, because no men's UEFA fixtures are played between 5 and 24 November.
Are RTTK cards worth buying? Only if you'd use the card at its current stats. In 2025-26, 39% of UCL clubs and 42% of UEL clubs reached 7 points in their last four matches, including just 4 of 9 Pot 1 clubs in each.
Do RTTK cards keep upgrading if a player transfers? Probably not. Fut.gg says EA's RTTK FAQs since FIFA 22 stop upgrades for players no longer registered with the club they represented when the campaign began. EA hasn't published FC 27 terms.
