What has EA actually confirmed for FC 27 Black Friday?
Very little, but what exists is specific. EA has published no FC 27 Black Friday article as of 30 October 2026. Two EA documents do fix dates around it.
The first is the FC 27 Season 1 article, which tells early-bird Ultimate and Ultimate Plus owners what happens to their pre-order card:
"Your Debut International ICON will later upgrade into its Champion International ICON version during Black Friday. Champion International ICONs will enter the Ultimate Team player pool later in the cycle." (EA SPORTS, FC 27 Season 1 article)
The terms on EA's FC 27 buy page put a limit on that: the item "will be upgraded to 'Champion' version by November 30, 2026". So the upgrade has an EA deadline, even though the promo around it has no EA date.
The second is the Ultimate Scream article. All Ultimate Scream items get a temporary boost "for one full week, starting November 24, 2026", which raises one face stat to 99 and gives full in-position Chemistry. That week runs straight through Black Friday.
Everything else in this guide about the promo itself is an estimate from earlier years, and it's labelled that way.
How much will FC 27 cost on Black Friday?
Our estimate is about $35 for Standard, which would be 50% off the $69.99 launch price. That's a forecast from two years of history, not an EA price.

Three details from that history are worth planning around:
- The sale starts before the day, and not everywhere at once. But Why Tho's breakdown of FC 26's 2025 sale listed PlayStation in North America and Europe from 14 November, Nintendo Europe and Asia from 17 November, Xbox, Steam and Nintendo North America from 20 November, and PlayStation Asia from 21 November. The same weekdays this year would be 13 to 20 November. Those are our estimates, not dates from EA.
- Retailers can move first. Amazon had FC 25 at $34.97 on 13 November 2024, and GameSpot reported physical FC 26 at half price on 18 November 2025.
- Prices vary by region. GameRant noted this directly for FC 25, and the UK deal above was 33%, not 50%. Don't convert the US price and assume it applies to you.
FC 27 has already had one discount. The PlayStation Store listing, as quoted by gg.deals, offered previous FC 25 and FC 26 buyers 30% off Standard until 28 October, which works out at $48.99. A player also reported a 30% offer on Xbox, and Soccer Gaming reported a loyalty discount of up to 30% on the EA app. A tracked Steam price history shows no change from $69.99 across 35 snapshots between 2 July and 30 October, so that store's list price hasn't moved.
Should you buy FC 27 now or wait for Black Friday?
Wait if you only play Career Mode or you're on Steam. Buy now if you want Ultimate Team this season and an EA offer is showing in your game. The gap between the old loyalty price and the expected sale price is only about $14, so the decision is mostly about what you'd miss.

The 13 November offer is real but narrow. EA's game disclaimers list a "Post Launch Loyalty Offer Discount" that "expires November 13, 2026". It covers Standard or Ultimate, bought "from within the in-game flow" of FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24, on the same account. It isn't available on Epic. EA's terms don't state a percentage and add that offers "may vary or change", so open your old game and check what it shows. The clause also refers to redeeming 500 FC Points without saying who qualifies. A PS5 player asked today whether the offer still works there after 28 October, and the thread had no answer when we checked.
Ultimate Edition is the sleeper deal. Ultimate includes 6,000 FC Points, delivered at first Ultimate Team login and then by the 15th of the next two months. At FC 26's store rates, 5,900 points cost $49.99, so a 50% Ultimate would make the game itself close to free if you'd buy those points anyway. Past Ultimate deals were narrower than Standard deals: FC 25's was reported at the Microsoft Store and GameStop, and FC 26's on Xbox. A late purchase does lose some things. EA's terms say the Season 1 Premium Pass "will not be available after Season 1 ends", and the Debut ICON was an early-bird pre-order item. Probably, but EA hasn't named it. The FC 26 promo was called "Black Friday: Thunderstruck", and it's the best template we have. EA's FC 26 article, dated 26 November 2025, set out this structure:

EA also listed 6 Flash Evolutions, each running 4 days and giving +2 OVR with a focus on one face stat, plus a repeatable Daily Play Objective paying coins and SP. Thunderstruck Items upgraded on club results: wins or draws in 2 of the next 5 league matches for a base PlayStyle, 3 of 5 for all Roles++, and 10 goals in 5 for a PlayStyle+ or base PlayStyle.
Don't assume that Roles++ tier returns. EA says all FC 27 special Items already launch with Role++ across their positions, so the rewards should change even if the name doesn't.
fifauteam's FC 27 Black Friday tracker estimates 27 November to 4 December and says pack prices "don't decrease on Black Friday". Its start time and other trackers' start times don't agree, so treat any exact hour as unknown until EA posts.

When do Champion ICONs arrive in FC 27?
Owners get the upgrade by 30 November at the latest, per EA's terms. Last year, community coverage reported the upgrades arriving on the Thursday before Black Friday, and that timing could repeat on 26 November. EA hasn't confirmed that.
The market question is different. EA says Champion ICONs "will enter the Ultimate Team player pool later in the cycle" without a date. Last year's coverage put them in packs at Black Friday. What happens to FC 27 market prices around Black Friday?
Nobody can give you an honest percentage. EA publishes no market data, so any exact crash figure is a guess. The pattern players describe is more useful than a number.
- The drop comes early. In an r/fut thread before last year's event, the recurring view was that the crash happens in the weeks leading up to Black Friday, not on the day. One player described a top gold card falling by more than half in about three weeks.
- Supply is the cause. Re-released TOTW and Campaign Items hit packs, and players who saved packs for a week open them together.
- Golds can hold. The same thread argued that a top gold card holds up if the packs contain that player's special version instead. Re-released specials took the bigger hit.
FC 27 adds a twist: ICON card prices are rising now. A 28 October r/EASportsFC thread put it down to low supply, plenty of coins in circulation, and few good SBCs or Evolutions to spend them on. That fits EA's own figures in our coin balances post. It also means ICONs may have further to fall if a real supply event arrives, but that's our inference and not a forecast you should bet a club on.
What is the best FC 27 coin plan for Black Friday?
Here's the plan, ranked by how much it matters. It assumes the 2025 calendar roughly repeats, so adjust when EA publishes dates.
- Mid-November: sell what you don't use. Spare specials are the most exposed to re-releases. Keep your starting XI. Our market cycle guide covers the weekly timing for each trade.
- Before 25 November: hold coins, not speculative ICONs. Don't buy an ICON at today's rising prices just to flip it. If you'll use the card for months, that's a different decision.
- 24 November: use the Beaver Moon week. The 99 face stat and full in-position Chemistry last one week. If you were selling an Ultimate Scream Item anyway, that's a sensible window, since Team 2 and the Token Store will be finished by then.
- Late November: open saved packs for your club. Open them once the re-releases are live, but expect resale values to be weak because everyone else is opening too.
- 27 to 30 November: buy targets after the first rush. Last year, one player predicted that big golds would bottom out just before the promo landed, then bounce within hours. That's a prediction, not data, so set a price you're happy with and don't chase.
- Keep something back for 3 December. Season 3 starts then, and it's the next point where EA's published season calendar gives you a fresh pass and new content.
