It costs 900 Ultimate Scream Tokens, the same as the Verón Hero, and needs 5 matches with no wins. Only cards rated 70 or higher reach 85. In EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team the Evo sits in the Ultimate Scream Token Store, which closes with the tokens on Friday 13 November at 17:59 UTC. We are in Season 2 (FC Heritage), the last days of the Ultimate Scream promo.
We pulled fut.gg's eligible and evolved player lists on 3 November and matched all 3,947 eligible cards to their evolved versions. Every count below comes from that pull. Here are the requirements, every level, the PlayStyle+ choice, the token math against Verón, and the shortlist.

What is the FC 27 Wicked Winger Evolution?
Wicked Winger is one of the two Evolutions in the Ultimate Scream Token Store. EA's Ultimate Scream announcement describes it in one line: "The Ultimate Scream Token Store houses two Evolutions. The first upgrades a player's defensive stats, while the second offers a PlayStyle+ to a wide player." The defensive one is The Haunted Wall (500 tokens). Wicked Winger is the wide one.
That makes it unusual. Most of the free FC 27 Evos we have covered hand out regular PlayStyles and cap your card at 80 to 83. Wicked Winger adds a PlayStyle+ to a card you choose, and it takes that card all the way to 85. fut.gg's description of the Evo: "Own the flank and leave opponents haunted. Select your favorite PlayStyle+ to transform your RM or RW into a true nightmare for defenders."
The catch is the price. Scream Tokens only exist for this promo, and EA says the store "will remain open for an additional week after Ultimate Scream ends, extending the window to use any remaining Tokens." After that they're gone. If you're still sitting on tokens, the question isn't whether Wicked Winger is good. It's whether it's the best thing your 900 tokens can buy.

Two things trip people up:
- Alternative positions count. Your card doesn't need RM or RW as its main position. In our pull, 814 of the eligible cards are listed as right-backs and 342 as strikers, and they qualify because RM or RW is one of their alternative positions.
- Max 1 PlayStyle+ is the written limit. fut.gg lists the requirement as a maximum of one existing PlayStyle+. In practice, every one of the 3,947 eligible cards in our 3 November pull started with zero, so if your card already has one, check the in-game tile before you spend tokens.
On the 3 November pull, 3,932 eligible cards are base Rares. The 15 others are mostly TOTW items (Martinelli, Hadj Moussa, Sullivan, Berenguer, Nygren, Szymański, Mastantuono and more), plus a Squad Foundations Espinoza and a Showdown Upgrade Árciga.
What upgrades does Wicked Winger give?
All five levels have the same task: "Play 1 match in Squad Battles on min Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player in game." No wins needed, so it's 5 matches total.

The OVR boost lands at level 1. Everything after that is face stats and the PlayStyle+. Pace (Acceleration and Sprint Speed) caps at 87, which is why the median 85-rated finisher in our data ends on 87 PAC, 80 SHO and 83 DRI.
Which players reach 85 in Wicked Winger?
The +15 OVR looks like it turns anything into an 85. It doesn't. In-game OVR follows the stats, and the stat caps only push a low card so far. Across the 3,942 evolved cards fut.gg lists:
- 1,127 finish at 85, the cap.
- Every 85 comes from a base 70 or higher card. The best a card under 70 managed in our pull is 84.
- Bronzes rated 60 to 64 finish between 75 and 79 (median 78). Silvers rated 65 to 69 finish between 80 and 84 (median 82).
- All 800 cards rated 70 to 74 (high silvers) reach 85, and so do all 299 golds rated 75 or higher.
So if you're paying 900 tokens, use a card rated 70 or higher, a high silver or any gold. Anything lower only makes sense as a chemistry or fun project, not as value.
Of the 1,127 cards that hit 85, 311 are main-position RMs, 190 right-backs, 144 RWs, 128 LMs, 97 CAMs and 82 strikers. 164 of them are women, which matters for anyone building around a women's league link.
Which PlayStyle+ should you pick: Quick Step+, Finesse Shot+ or Technical+?
fut.gg's evolved-card data shows what its rating model recommends for each card. On 3 November:

Our call: Quick Step+ on almost every card. The Evo caps Acceleration and Sprint Speed at 87, so most finished cards are fast but not elite. Quick Step+ boosts acceleration while sprinting, which is what actually beats a fullback, and it suits a right-sided runner. It's also the option fut.gg's model lands on for most cards, including Di María, Kudus, Zalazar and Kubo.
Pick Finesse Shot+ if the card already has strong Finishing and Curve and you'll play it as an inside forward cutting onto its stronger foot: fut.gg picks it for Estêvão, Ndiaye, Hadj Moussa and Summerville. Technical+ is a niche choice. fut.gg picks it for Chiesa and Shaqiri, who already have the dribbling profile to use it.

How to choose:
- Best all-round: Kudus, Zalazar or Mané. Balanced 85s with real Physicality and a 4-star weak foot for Zalazar and Mané.
- Best skiller: Di María or Hadj Moussa, the only names on this list with 5-star skills after the Evo (just 23 of the 1,127 85s have them). Di María stays on a 2-star weak foot, and Reddit players picking him say he's harder to link than expected under the new chemistry rules.
- Best weak foot: Luany (5 stars). Only 36 of the 85s have a 5-star weak foot.
- Fastest: Luis Henrique (91 PAC). Only 32 of the 85s finish at 90 PAC or higher, because the Evo's pace caps sit at 87.
- Women's league links: Kaneryd and Garbino (both 89 PAC). Emma Sears and Vivien Endemann also reach 85 at 89 PAC.
On r/EASportsFC today, the Wicked Winger thread is mostly Di María versus Hadj Moussa. One player said they nearly picked Di María before going with Hadj Moussa because Di María was much harder to link than they expected. Is Wicked Winger worth 900 Scream Tokens?

The verdict:
- Worth it if you have an RM or RW rated 70+ (high silver or gold) in your club that you actually like, and nothing on the right flank right now. You're buying an 85 with a PlayStyle+ that no pack or SBC hands out cheaply.
- Take Verón instead if you need a central midfielder more than a winger. He costs the same and comes at 87 with Hero chemistry, so he slots straight into a squad.
- Take two 3x 85+ packs (800 tokens) if you're building a coin balance. Untradeable or not, 85-rated cards feed every upgrade SBC, including the current Max 88 Hero SBC.
- Skip it if your only eligible card is rated under 70. It won't reach 85.
Beaver Moon is unconfirmed. EA says that from 24 November "all Ultimate Scream Player Items" get one face stat boosted to 99 and full in-position chemistry for a week. fut.gg lists Wicked Winger cards with the Ultimate Scream design, but EA hasn't said whether evolved items count. Don't spend 900 tokens on that assumption.
Can you chain Wicked Winger with other FC 27 Evos?
Possibly, but nothing is confirmed. The free Rise From the Grave Evo turns a low-rated RM or RW into an 80, and it adds no PlayStyle+. On paper, that card still fits Wicked Winger's limits. But fut.gg's two-Evo combination search returned zero chained cards for Rise From the Grave and Wicked Winger in either order on 3 November. Before you commit, add both to the in-game preview. EA Help says the preview filters later Evos "using the Player Item's resulting stats".
The same goes for any Evo that adds a PlayStyle+ before this one. Wicked Winger allows one existing PlayStyle+ on paper, but check the resulting card in the in-game preview before you commit.
How do you finish Wicked Winger fast?
It's 5 matches with no wins, so the fastest route is:
- Squad Battles on Semi-Pro. 5 short matches against the AI, no opponent waiting. Keep the Evo player on the pitch: the requirement is "using your active EVO player in game", so a substitute who doesn't come on may not count.
- Rush, if you prefer short matches or are already doing Rush objectives.
- Don't do it in Champions. It counts, but wasting Weekend League matches testing a new winger costs more than it's worth. See whether FC 27 Champions is worth it.
You have until 27 November, 18:00 UTC to finish. The real deadline is the store close on 13 November, 17:59 UTC: unspent Scream Tokens disappear then, unlike Champions Tokens (see what carries over).
