Is FC 27 FUT Champions Worth It? Every Win Priced vs FC 26 and Rivals

FC 27 FUT Champions is worth it if you win 11 or more of your 15 matches. Below about 9 wins it is a poor use of a weekend, and from Rivals Division 2 upward the same 10 wins pay more coins in Rivals. We priced every EA SPORTS FC 27 win tier against FC 26 and Division Rivals to get there, because a 62-comment r/EASportsFC thread this week argued that Champions rewards are "WAY worse" than they were.

The numbers say that is half right. FC 27 pays far more for a good run, about the same for an average one, and less for a bad one. What it took away is the part that felt good: the guaranteed promo player.

FC 27 is in Season 2, which runs from 22 October to 3 December 2026 (EA Launch Rewards). The figures below are from 2 November, during the second week of Ultimate Scream. Prices will move.

TLDR: is FC 27 FUT Champions worth it? 11+ wins: yes, about 83,000 coins of value or more, and well above FC 26. 9 to 10 wins: only if you enjoy the mode, at about 47,000 to 62,000 coins. 8 wins or fewer: no, unless the entry came free from your Rivals games. What changed: coins at 15 wins went from 95,000 to 250,000, but direct coins drop at 8 wins and below, and packs and promo players were replaced by Champions Tokens. The trap: the 15th win pays 105,000 coins, the same as the first 13 wins together. Best Token value we found: the 10x 80+ pack, at about 260 coins of floor value per Token.

What do FC 27 FUT Champions rewards actually pay?

Every Champions Finals run is 15 matches, and EA's own help page confirms it: "Champions Finals in EA SPORTS FC™ has a 15-match format" (EA Help). EA doesn't publish the per-rank table, so the coins and Tokens below come from fifauteam's Season 2 list. That table matches the Season 1 table we published, so nothing changed between seasons.

To compare a run with cash, you need a coin value for a Token. We use 200 coins, explained in the Token section below. "All-in value" is coins plus Tokens at that rate, and "per hour" assumes a full run takes the four hours the Reddit thread quotes. Your own run might be shorter.

Below 5 wins there are no coins at all: 1, 2, 3 and 4 wins pay 15, 20, 30 and 40 Tokens.

This table leaves out Match Coins, which you earn on top. EA says Champions and Rivals "will have the potential to reward several times more Coins" than the 500 to 600 per match of FC 26 (EA Launch Update). They arrive whatever your rank, so they don't change the shape of the table. Our Match Coins guide covers why your number can differ from clips.

The curve is steep. The 15th win alone pays 105,000 coins, exactly what the first 13 wins pay together. Win 14 adds 40,000 and win 10 adds 10,000. That top-heavy shape is why the last match of a 14-0 run carries so much pressure, and why a 9-win player gets so little for the same four hours.

Are FC 27 Champions rewards worse than FC 26?

For most of the table, no. On the numbers we can price, FC 27 pays more from 9 wins upward and about the same at 7 and 8 wins. FC 26 only paid more at 5 and 6 wins.

EA told players this was coming. Its FUT Deep Dive says: "We're also increasing the share of earned rewards delivered through direct FUT Coins and tradeable packs across the mode" (EA FUT Deep Dive). What EA didn't spell out is that the coin increase sits at the top of the table. Here are direct coins only, using fifauteam's FC 26 Season 2 list. Radio Times' launch-season table for FC 26 shows the same coins from 5 to 14 wins:

WinsFC 26 Season 2 coinsFC 27 Season 2 coinsChange
1595,000250,000+155,000
1240,00075,000+35,000

816,00015,000-1,000
611,0005,000-6,000
59,0002,500-6,500

Nine wins is the crossover. At 8 wins and below, you now get fewer coins than last year as well as no packs. A player who averages 7 wins has a real reason to feel the mode got worse in cash terms.

Coins aren't the whole reward, though. FC 26 paid tradeable packs and FC 27 pays Tokens, so we priced both at today's market. Each FC 26 tradeable pack is counted at the cheapest card of its rating, and each FC 27 Token at 200 coins.

Bar chart comparing FC 27 and FC 26 Season 2 Champions value from 5 to 15 wins

At 12 wins FC 27 is worth about 118,000 coins against 74,000. At 8 wins it's 33,000 against 30,000, which is effectively a tie once you remember FC 26 also gave a TOTW pack we didn't price. This is a model and not a measurement: it applies FC 27 prices to FC 26 packs and values packs at their guaranteed minimum, which ignores any big pull.

One more correction to the headline. A 250,000 coin reward is unlikely to buy 2.6 times as much as 95,000 did, because everyone else has more coins too. EA's October update says: "Coin balances are more than 50% higher than at the same point last year" (EA FUT Developer Update). We covered the effect in what higher coin balances do to prices.

So why do FC 27 Champions rewards feel worse?

Because the excitement moved out of the reward screen. In FC 26 Season 2, every run of 9 wins or more included at least one untradeable promo player, and 15 wins gave three, according to fifauteam's list. During the same promo last year that meant Ultimate Scream Team 2 players. FC 27 has no guaranteed promo player at any rank.

You can't fairly put a coin price on those cards, and that's the honest gap in our table. A guaranteed promo card was often a free squad upgrade you didn't have to choose, and a pack opening gave you a story. In FC 27 you get a Token balance and a shopping decision. The Reddit complaint about a 12-win run ending in one ordinary pull comes from exactly this change.

Some of the replies overstated the opposite case too. One commenter said anything above 9 wins brings close to 100,000 coins. Our table says you need about 12 wins to reach that, even counting Tokens, unless Match Coins are doing a lot of the work. Another reported around 300,000 coins a week across Champions and Rivals. That's plausible only near the top: 13 wins plus the Elite Rivals Upgrade comes to 227,500 direct coins before Match Coins.

Does Division Rivals pay better than FC 27 Champions?

Often, yes. This is the comparison the Reddit thread missed. Take a player who wins two games in three. Over 15 matches that's 10 wins in either mode.

In Rivals, 10 wins reaches the 30 points that community trackers list for the Upgrade tier, at 3 points per win. EA itself confirms that "Division 1 Upgraded Rewards" pay 95,000 coins plus packs (EA Launch Update). The other divisions below come from fifauteam's Rivals list.

Bar chart comparing 10 Champions wins with 10 Rivals wins in each division from Division 5 to Elite

  • Division 2 and above: 10 Rivals wins pay more direct coins (72,500 or more) than 10 Champions wins pay in coins and Tokens combined (about 62,000). The Rivals packs are on top.
  • Division 3: about level. 52,500 coins, plus packs that include 5x 83+ and a TOTW player, and two player picks.
  • Division 4 and below: Champions pays more for the same wins, if you can actually hold a two-in-three record there.

Rivals also resets the question each week, and you can stop when you hit 10 wins. Champions rewards you for playing on, but Rivals rewards you for stopping. See our Rivals rewards breakdown for each division's Base and Upgrade pay.

You don't have to choose, because your Rivals games earn the CQP that enters you into Champions. The real decision is which one to finish first when you only have a few hours. If your time is short, finish the Rivals Upgrade before you start a Finals run.

What is a Champions Token worth in coins?

About 200 coins is a fair working rate, with a range of 112 to 260 depending on what you buy. We took live pack contents from fut.gg's Token Store and the cheapest console card at each rating from NokaFut on 2 November: 650 coins for 79, 80 and 81, 700 for 82 and 83, 2,400 for 85, 4,900 for 86, and 12,500 for 88.

Bar chart of guaranteed floor coin value per Champions Token for six store packs

We use 200 because it sits between the two packs most players would buy for value, the 3x 88+ and the 10x 80+. The rate matters less than you might expect: 12 wins comes to about 102,000 coins at 125 per Token and about 131,000 at 260, still above FC 26's 74,000 either way.

These are guaranteed minimums, assuming every card is the cheapest possible at the rating named on the pack. Better pulls add value, and the 5% EA tax takes some away if you sell. In practice you would keep most low cards as SBC fodder and not sell them.

  • Best floor value of the six packs we priced: 10x 80+ for 25 Tokens, at 6,500 coins of floor, or 260 per Token. The 2x 79+ for 5 Tokens matches it. We didn't price the 25-Token TOTW pack, because its value depends on the week's squad.
  • Best big-pull option: 3x 88+ for 200 Tokens, at 188 per Token with a real chance of something special.
  • Weakest floor: 12x 83+ for 75 Tokens, at 112 per Token. It only makes sense if you need 83s for a specific SBC.
  • Time-limited: the two FUT Champions TOTW 7 picks at 50 and 100 Tokens leave at 18:59 UTC on 6 November, according to fut.gg.

fifauteam lists these packs as tradeable, apart from the ones the store marks untradeable. Check the tag on the in-game tile before you buy. If you aren't sure what to do with your balance, Champions Tokens should carry over, so there's no rush to spend them on a weak pack.

Should you play FC 27 Champions this weekend?

Use your average win count, not your best weekend.

  • 11+ wins: play. You earn about 83,000 coins or more, your run pays back 600 or more CQP toward the next entry, and each extra win is worth more than the last.
  • 9 or 10 wins: play if you enjoy it. Finish your Rivals Upgrade first if you're in Division 3 or above.
  • 7 or 8 wins: play a few matches for Tokens, then stop when it stops being fun. The first wins are cheap to get, and win 8 adds only 5,000 coins and 15 Tokens.
  • 6 wins or fewer: skip it for coins. Spend the time on Rivals, objectives or Evolutions.

You can stop early, because rewards follow your final rank. There's one catch: fifauteam says rewards arrive straight away only if you complete every match, and otherwise land when the campaign closes. There's still no reason to force the last matches at 3am for a tier that adds 2,500 coins and 10 Tokens. Our note on how Weekend League matchmaking and Form work explains why late-run matches can feel harder.

Want the top of the table without the four hours? The steep end of this curve is the part most players never reach. timesaver.gg can help with the wins or the coins.

FAQ

Is FC 27 Weekend League worth it for casual players? Usually not for the coins. A casual run of 5 to 7 wins is worth about 12,500 to 25,000 coins for roughly four hours. Rivals gives a better return, and you can stop as soon as you reach your weekly tier.

How many coins do you get for 15 wins in FC 27? 250,000 coins and 450 Champions Tokens at Elite I, according to fifauteam's Season 2 list. In FC 26 Season 2, the same rank paid 95,000 coins plus tradeable packs and three untradeable promo players.

Are FC 27 Champions rewards better than FC 26? At 9 wins or more they pay more coins and more total value on our model. At 8 wins or fewer they pay fewer direct coins. FC 27 also has no guaranteed promo player, which is why many players feel the rewards are worse.

How many wins do you need for 100,000 coins in FC 27 Champions? 13 wins for 105,000 direct coins. Counting Tokens at 200 coins each, 12 wins gets you to about 118,000.

Do you need to finish all 15 matches? No. Rewards depend on your final rank, so you can stop whenever the next tier isn't worth the time. According to fifauteam, finishing every match releases rewards immediately, while stopping early means they arrive when the campaign closes. Our FC 27 FUT Champions guide covers the rest of the process.

How many times can you play FC 27 Champions Finals in a weekend? fifauteam lists one entry per competition, and EA's help page doesn't give a number. That's why this guide values a single run.

Last updated 2 November 2026. All-in values are our own estimates and use NokaFut console floor prices from that date, with one Champions Token valued at 200 coins.
