GTA Online Bail Office 2026: Is It Worth GTA$3.8M? Best Office to Buy + Every Payout

Quick answer (TLDR)

A fully-staffed Bail Office costs GTA$3,795,000 — the Davis office at GTA$2,000,000 plus two Bail Enforcement Agents at GTA$750,000 each plus GTA$295,000 for Personal Quarters — and the property's daily loop pays that back in about 25 hours of focused play. That makes it a mid-tier earner, not a Cayo-Perico-killer. The headline payouts: a Most Wanted target is worth GTA$120,000–$130,000 alive, a Standard target GTA$35,000–$40,000, and killing either one deducts 75% of the reward. The actual reason to own one in 2026 is the Madrazo Hit — GTA$30,000 for roughly two minutes of work, once a day, and exclusive to Bail Office owners. Buy Davis, hire both agents, skip the cosmetic Style tiers.

Every GTA$ figure below is labelled Confirmed (Rockstar or the GTA Wiki), Widely-cited (independent guides plus player testing), or Estimate (our own math) — a wrong payout costs you hours. Bottom Dollar Bounties launched with Title Update 1.69 on June 25, 2024 and has been expanded several times since, so older guides are missing the parts that make it worth owning.

What do you actually get for GTA$3.8 million?

You buy in from Maude Eccles via Maze Bank Foreclosures, and there are five locations. Prices are Confirmed (GTA Wiki):

Bail Office locationPrice (GTA$)Notes
Paleto Bay1,650,000Cheapest, but it's in Blaine County
Davis2,000,000Cheapest city office, freeway-adjacent
Del Perro2,350,000West side, close to the beach businesses
Mission Row2,390,000Directly across from the police station
Downtown Vinewood2,620,000Most central, most expensive

On top of the property you can add: two Bail Enforcement Agents at GTA$750,000 each (Confirmed, GTA Wiki), Personal Quarters GTA$295,000, a Gun Locker GTA$175,000, Armor Plating for the van GTA$125,000, and a cosmetic Style option in three tiers — Penal Vintage free, Criminal Patterns GTA$125,000, Courtroom Teak GTA$145,000 (all Widely-cited — GTABase, Push Square). Max everything out and you're at GTA$4,240,000 on the Davis office.

Inside you get Jenette Eccles and the Bail Enforcement System computer, a holding cell, a garage for two personal vehicles plus the bail enforcement Burrito van, and an optional spawn point. The only upgrades that change your income are the agents.

Which Bail Office should you buy?

Buy Davis at GTA$2,000,000. Targets spawn at random across San Andreas, so no office is "closest to the work" — what matters is getting back to your own holding cell with a live target. Davis is the cheapest office inside Los Santos, sits next to the Olympic Freeway, and is GTA$620,000 cheaper than Downtown Vinewood for maybe twenty seconds of driving.

Skip Paleto Bay: GTA$350,000 of savings is not worth putting your drop-off point in Blaine County when the rest of your empire is in the city. Mission Row puts your bail office facing the LSPD, which is a nice joke for GTA$390,000.

How much does a Bail Office bounty pay?

Standard bounties are the bread and butter. The computer shows three Standard targets plus one Most Wanted target at a time, and the board refreshes every 48 real-life minutes — one in-game day (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). You must be registered as a SecuroServ VIP, an Organization CEO or an MC President to use the computer at all.

Each Standard target pays GTA$35,000–$40,000 brought in alive (Widely-cited). The single most important rule in the whole business is what happens if you get trigger-happy:

"It also pays to remember this ain't the Wild West — both Standard and Most Wanted Targets are considerably more valuable alive than dead, so be cautious when doling out lethal force, even when dealing with the most intense stand-offs. Non-lethal equipment like the Stun Gun can prove useful when attempting to subdue targets."

— Rockstar Games, Bottom Dollar Bounties Out Now, Rockstar Newswire

Killing a target deducts 75% of the reward (Confirmed, GTA Wiki), so a GTA$40,000 capture becomes a GTA$10,000 coroner drop-off. Buy a Stun Gun before you buy any Style tier. One honest conflict: Rockstar implies unlimited Standard Targets (quoted below), while the GTA Wiki caps it at three per in-game day on that 48-minute refresh. Player testing backs the wiki, so plan around the refresh.

Three Standard captures at an average GTA$37,500 is GTA$112,500 per 48-minute board cycle, or roughly GTA$140,000/hour if you clear all three inside the window (Estimate). Real sessions land lower — targets spawn anywhere from Paleto to Chumash and the drive back is dead time.

What is a Most Wanted bounty worth?

GTA$120,000–$130,000 alive, once per real-life day (Widely-cited — GTA BOOM, matched by player reports). There are six Most Wanted targets — Whitney, Song, Thompson, Lieberman, O'Neil and Garcia — and one is available at a time, cycling daily (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). Some of those missions hide optional secondary loot — the one item GTA BOOM put a number on came to about GTA$5,000 — so sweep the area before you drive off.

"While Standard Targets are more likely to be your garden variety lowlifes, the Most Wanted Targets are the upper echelon of criminal scum: CEOs, movie stars, legendary street racers, and the like. Most Wanted Targets can be completed once per day, while ambitious bounty hunters can wrangle as many Standard Targets as they want."

— Rockstar Games, Bottom Dollar Bounties Out Now, Rockstar Newswire

There's also a one-time bonus most owners leave on the table: completing each of the six Most Wanted missions as leader pays a GTA$25,000 award (Confirmed, GTA Wiki) — GTA$150,000 for clearing the set once. Do all six as leader of your own organization, not as somebody's associate.

One mechanic that catches new owners out: you don't get paid the moment you shove the target into your cell. It has to be processed first, and that timer depends on your staffing.

Do the Bail Enforcement Agents pay for themselves?

Yes — but not the way the shop menu implies. Two separate benefits; only one matters.

The passive income is mediocre, and it isn't really passive. You can hire up to two agents at GTA$750,000 each, send them out on off-screen bounty work, and they take 48 real minutes to return (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). Nothing accrues while you're logged off — you have to walk into the office and dispatch each agent by hand, every cycle. Guides quote GTA$5,000–$10,000 per agent per run, but the two hands-on tests land at the bottom of it: Push Square topped out near GTA$5,800 a dispatch, and Upcomer averaged about GTA$7,000 per agent per hour over ten dispatches. Both converge on GTA$12,500–$14,500 per real hour played for the pair (Estimate), which puts GTA$1,500,000 of hiring costs at 105–120 hours to recoup on agent income alone. As an investment on its own, that's poor.

The processing speed is the real reason to hire them. Processing a captured target takes 24 minutes with no agents, 12 minutes with one, and 6 minutes with both (Widely-cited — GTA BOOM, corroborated by player testing), and you aren't paid until it finishes. Unstaffed, your money lands up to 24 real minutes after the drop-off, pushing part of each board cycle's income into the next one; with both agents it's six. If you actually want the GTA$140,000/hour figure to show up in your bank balance inside the session you earned it, hire both.

Worth correcting the record: the Bail Office does have a safe, fed by those agents, and Rockstar tracks the lifetime total via the "Step Two: Profit" award, which tiers at GTA$250,000 / GTA$500,000 / GTA$750,000 / GTA$1,000,000 of agent income (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). Guides claiming the office has no safe are describing one with no agents hired — but it's agent-gated, not a Nightclub-style accrual.

What are Madrazo Hits and Dispatch Work worth?

These are the parts older guides miss. One is exclusive to the property; the other only shipped alongside it.

Madrazo Hits were added to the business on July 18, 2024 and are exclusive to Bail Office owners. A target spawns daily in one of 15 possible locations, appears on your map as soon as you load in, and — unlike Bounties and Most Wanted — does not require you to be a CEO or MC President. Kill the target, photograph the body, send it to Martin Madrazo: GTA$20,000 and 500 RP, plus a GTA$10,000 bonus for using Madrazo's weapon of choice (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). That's GTA$30,000 a day for about two minutes, and it's the single highest-value-per-second activity attached to the property.

Dispatch Work shipped in the same update, but do not count it as a reason to buy: it is not gated on owning a Bail Office. All it needs is the Slush Fund mission completed and a personal law enforcement vehicle (Confirmed, GTA Wiki). There are now eight job types (four at launch, two from Agents of Sabotage, two from A Safehouse in the Hills), each paying GTA$25,000 and 500 RP, and each first completion unlocks a trade price on one of seven law enforcement vehicles. The cooldown was cut from five minutes to one minute in the February 2025 Gunrunning Bonuses week and stayed there, so the ceiling is GTA$215,000–$300,000/hour (Estimate) — better than the bounties themselves, with travel pulling real sessions below it.

The catch nobody mentions: you must retire your CEO, VIP or MC President status before you can request Dispatch Work, and the bail enforcement computer requires exactly that registration. They are two separate loops, not one — pick a lane per session instead of trying to interleave them.

Is the Bail Office worth it in 2026?

The honest break-even math on the Davis build (GTA$3,795,000 with both agents and Personal Quarters), across a focused two-hour session:

ActivityPayout (GTA$)Confidence
1 Most Wanted target, alive~130,000Widely-cited
3 Standard targets, alive~112,500Widely-cited
1 Madrazo Hit with weapon bonus30,000Confirmed
Safe, two agent cycles~27,500Widely-cited
Session total (~2 hrs)~300,000Estimate

Those are mid-band figures, not ceilings. That's roughly GTA$150,000/hour, and 12–13 sessions — about 25 hours — to recoup the GTA$3,795,000 setup. That is the bail-office loop on its own; Dispatch Work pays more per hour but needs you unregistered, so it's a separate session rather than a filler.

The verdict: buy it if you want variety, RP and daily routines, not if you want the fastest money in the game. Salvage Yard robberies and the big heists still pay more per hour of effort, and we rank the repeatable earners in the GTA Online highest-paying missions guide. What the Bail Office gives you that they don't is GTA$30,000 of daily Madrazo money nobody else can touch, GTA$150,000 of one-time Most Wanted awards, and a 24-target completion set (18 Standard plus the 6 Most Wanted) with its own trophies. With GTA 6 arriving on November 19, 2026, a 25-hour payback is still comfortably inside the window — but it's the last month or two where a GTA$3.8 million purchase makes sense on payback alone.

The fastest way to a GTA$3.8 million balance

If you'd rather own the business tonight than grind toward it — or you want the office, both agents and the Stun Gun without farming for a week first — topping your balance up directly is the shortcut. Fast, secure delivery is exactly what we do.

Want the Bail Office without the 25-hour grind? Fund the whole build in one go and start on the bounties, not the savings plan.

FAQ

Is the Bail Office worth it in GTA Online? It's worth it for variety, RP and daily income routines, not for maximum money per hour. A GTA$3,795,000 Davis build with both agents pays back in roughly 25 hours of focused play at about GTA$150,000/hour. Salvage Yard robberies and the major heists still out-earn it, but no other property gives you a GTA$30,000 daily Madrazo Hit.

How much does a Most Wanted bounty pay in GTA Online? GTA$120,000–$130,000 for bringing the target in alive, once per real-life day. Some of the missions also hide optional secondary loot — the one item we've seen valued came to about GTA$5,000. There are six Most Wanted targets that cycle daily, and completing each one as leader pays a separate one-time GTA$25,000 award — GTA$150,000 across the full set.

What happens if you kill a bounty target instead of capturing them? You lose 75% of the reward. A Standard target worth GTA$40,000 alive pays about GTA$10,000 if you deliver the body to the Los Santos County Coroner Office instead. Carry a Stun Gun, or disable targets by injuring them rather than killing them.

Which Bail Office is the best one to buy? Davis, at GTA$2,000,000. It's the cheapest office inside Los Santos, it sits next to the freeway for fast drop-offs, and it's GTA$620,000 cheaper than Downtown Vinewood for a negligible difference in travel. Avoid Paleto Bay — the GTA$350,000 you save puts your holding cell in Blaine County.

Are the Bail Enforcement Agents worth GTA$750,000 each? Yes, but for the speed, not the income. Their safe earnings work out to roughly GTA$12,500–$14,500 per hour played, which alone would take 105–120 hours to repay GTA$1,500,000. The reason to hire both is that they cut target processing from 24 minutes to 6, and you aren't paid until a target is processed.

Does the Bail Office safe fill up while I'm offline? No. Nothing accrues on its own — you have to walk into the office and dispatch both agents by hand, and they take 48 real minutes to return and pay in. The safe caps at GTA$100,000, so empty it every session. Rockstar tracks lifetime agent income through the "Step Two: Profit" award, which tiers at GTA$250,000, GTA$500,000, GTA$750,000 and GTA$1,000,000.

Do I need to be a CEO or MC President to run bounties? Yes for Standard and Most Wanted bounties — the computer requires SecuroServ VIP, Organization CEO or MC President registration in any free-mode session. Madrazo Hits are the exception and start without registering. Dispatch Work is the reverse: registration blocks it, so you have to retire CEO/VIP/MC status first.
