What are pets in MM2?
The MM2 Wiki's Pets page describes them as "non-interactive, tradeable cosmetic items that follow the player's in-game movement." That's the whole function. A pet doesn't make you faster, doesn't help you as Sheriff and doesn't change your odds of being Murderer.
Value comes from one thing: supply. MM2 has three ways pets have entered the game:
- Event tier rewards. Halloween and Christmas passes from 2017 to 2021 gave out pets like the Zombie Dog, Elf (2019) and the Pumpkin series. Those events are over, so supply is frozen.
- The retired Pet Box. Before Season 1, a 300-Coin Pet Box dropped pets like Dogey, Piggy and Badger. The wiki lists it as "Discontinued, Not Unboxable."
- The Common Egg. This is the only way to get pets outside an event today. It costs 1,000 Coins and has 21 possible pets, including the Fire and Chroma Fire variants.
The first two are where all the value is. The third floods the market with pets that are worth almost nothing.
What is the most valuable pet in MM2?
The Zombie Dog is the most valuable pet in MM2 right now. It sits at 725 on MM2 Values and 750 on Supreme, with a demand of 3.5 out of 10 and a rarity of 5.
According to the MM2 Wiki's Zombie Dog page, it "was originally obtainable by purchasing the 25th tier in the Main Event during the 2019 Halloween Event." That event ended in 2019, so no new Zombie Dogs have entered the game since and it has been trade-only for seven years.
The Elf (2019) is a close second at 650 (625 on Supreme). It came from tier 12 of the 2019 Christmas Event and has the highest demand of any pet on the list, at 4 out of 10. Don't confuse it with the plain Elf from 2016, which is worth only 28.

Low tier: worth 1 to 5
Blue Pumpkin (2020) and Purple Pumpkin (2018) sit at 5. All seven Chroma Fire pets (Bat, Bear, Bunny, Cat, Dog, Fox, Pig) are 3, as are the Shadow Pumpkin, Nobledragon and Green Pumpkin (2019). Red Pumpkin (2019) is 2. Chilly, Pengy, UFO, Badger, Tankie, Mechbug, Jetstream, Seahorsey, Eyeball, Fairy, Overseer Eye, Rudolph, Vampire Bat, Snowbear, Reindeer, Lil' Alien and Blue Pumpkin (2019) are all valued at 1.
Bottom tier: valued in fractions
MM2 Values doesn't give these a full point. It lists them as a multiple of its lowest "Tier 1" unit, for example "4 X (T1) Legend." In practice, they're filler:

Why are Fire pets worth so little if they're 0.2%?
This is the question new traders ask most. The Common Egg's Fire pets (Fire Cat, Fire Dog, Fire Bunny, Fire Pig and others) are listed as Godly rarity with a 0.2% chance each, according to the MM2 Wiki's Common Egg page. That sounds rare.
It isn't, at scale. The egg has been on sale since Season 1, millions of players have opened it, and every opening adds to supply. Rarity in the egg doesn't matter when the egg never leaves the shop. Compare that to the Zombie Dog, which stopped entering the game the day the 2019 Halloween Event ended.
The rule for MM2 pets is simple: retired beats rare. A common-rarity pet from a closed event is worth more than a Godly-rarity pet you can still hatch.
Which MM2 pets are worth trading for?
For most players, three pets are worth chasing:
- Elf (2019). It has the highest demand on the list (4/10). High demand means it's easier to trade away later, which matters more than the raw number.
- Zombie Dog. It's the top value, and MM2 Values marks it Stable. Stable describes recent value movement, not a guarantee, but it's a common target when consolidating a big inventory.
- Dogey. At 140 with 3/10 demand, it has the best demand of the mid-value pets. The MM2 Wiki notes it was unboxable from the Pet Box "before Season 1," so supply is fixed.
The pumpkins are where traders lose value. MM2 Values lists eleven Red, Green and Blue Pumpkins (four Red, four Green, three Blue) across 2018 to 2021, and the 2018 versions are worth roughly 6 to 210 times more than the later ones. For example, Red Pumpkin (2018) is 125 while Red Pumpkin (2019) is 2, and Blue Pumpkin (2018) is 210 while Blue Pumpkin (2019) is 1. Always check the year in the trade window before you accept.

Are MM2 pets worth more than weapons?
Pets are a small corner of the MM2 economy. For scale, the top pet (725) is worth less than many Ancients and Chromas. See our MM2 value list and the MM2 Godly value list for the weapon side.
That makes top pets useful in two ways:
- Overpay padding. If a trade is 50 to 150 short, a Dogey or a Red Pumpkin (2018) closes the gap without breaking up a weapon set.
- Downgrading. If you hold a high-value weapon and want several mid items, a Zombie Dog or Elf (2019) is a common target because both have stable charts.
What pets don't do is gain value from events. As mm2values.app's pet page puts it, "Pets do nothing in a round." Their demand comes from collectors, not gameplay.
Does the Halloween Event 2026 change pet values?
Not directly. The MM2 Halloween Event 2026 runs October 18 to November 16, 2026. Its headline rewards are weapons: the Emberbow from the pass, the Embersickle from the Halloween Box, and the Emberscythe you craft from both in the Cauldron. None of them is a pet.
The indirect effect is real, though. When a big event drops new Godlies and Ancients, trading budgets move to those items. Pet demand is low (1 to 4 out of 10 across the list), so pets aren't where event-time trading attention goes. That's our read of the market, not a tracker finding.

How do you trade MM2 pets safely?
MM2 trades happen in game. A few rules keep you from getting scammed:
- Check the year. Pumpkins, Elves, Santa pets and Snowmen all exist in multiple versions with very different values. Hover over the item before you accept.
- Use two value lists. MM2 Values and Supreme often differ by 5 to 15%. Use the lower one as your floor.
- Count demand, not just value. A 70-value Black Cat (demand 2) is harder to trade than a 55-value Mr. Reindeer (demand 3).
