How to Get All 4 Voidstones in PoE 3.29 (Curse of the Allflame)

If your maps still drop as white and yellow tiers, you have not finished the Atlas — and every hour you spend down there is worth a fraction of what it should be. The fix is the four Voidstones. Socket all four and every map you drop rolls at Tier 16, the top of the normal map ladder. This guide is the acquisition checklist: which pinnacle boss drops which Voidstone in 3.29, how to actually reach each fight, and the fastest order to collect all four.

TL;DR — the four Voidstones and who drops them (PoE 3.29):

• Decayed Voidstone → beat The Shaper AND The Elder (normal Elder — Uber Elder is not required).
• Eldritch Voidstone → beat The Searing Exarch AND The Eater of Worlds (they now share one stone).
• Ceremonial Voidstone → beat The Maven.
• Originator Voidstone → beat The Incarnation of Dread (via the Aeon memory questline).
• Each stone is guaranteed on your first kill, no Uber versions needed, and 3.29 did not change any of this.

What do Voidstones actually do in Path of Exile?

Voidstones are the endgame item that raises the tier of the maps you find. There are four sockets, one in each corner quadrant of the Atlas, and each socketed Voidstone bumps the tier of maps dropped in that quadrant up by one. Maxroll states it plainly: "Voidstones increase the Tier of all Maps, up to having every Map at Tier 16 when all 4 Voidstones are socketed."

The current, per-quadrant effect wording on each stone (from poedb) reads: "Tier 1-15 Maps dropped in this Quadrant are a tier higher." Stack all four and the maps you drop while mapping effectively arrive at T16 — the tier where the good divination cards, the fully-scaled currency drops and the boss-worthy density live. On top of that, poedb lists a 0.4% chance per Voidstone (1.6% with all four) for a dropped T16 map to convert into a much richer Nightmare Map.

The four stones by name in the live 3.29 client are the Decayed, Eldritch, Ceremonial and Originator Voidstones. If an old guide calls the fourth one the "Omniscient Voidstone," it is out of date — the item was renamed to Originator, and the old name now just redirects to it on the wiki.

Which pinnacle boss drops each Voidstone in 3.29?

Here is the load-bearing part, because the community wikis are full of stale mappings. This is the current, verified 3.29 set:

Two corrections that trip up most players:

• Sirus, Awakener of Worlds does not drop a Voidstone. He is still worth killing for his own loot and to progress the Conqueror questline, but he has not been a Voidstone source for years. Do not waste an evening farming him for one.
• The Searing Exarch and the Eater of Worlds share a single Voidstone now. As the poe-vault progression guide puts it: "Previously, these two dropped one stone each, but now they share a stone." You must beat both eldritch bosses to claim the one Eldritch Voidstone.

Every Voidstone is guaranteed on the boss's first kill — poedb's wording on the Originator stone is that "The Incarnation of Dread drops this item after being defeated for the first time." No re-farming, no drop-chance gamble. And the normal (non-Uber) versions of these bosses award the stones; you do not need Uber Elder, Uber Maven or any Uber pinnacle fight. poe-vault confirms for the Decayed stone specifically: "you no longer need to do Uber Elder."

How do you unlock each Voidstone boss fight?

Getting the stone is the easy part — reaching each boss is the grind. Here is the current access path for all four.

The Maven → Ceremonial Voidstone

Meet The Envoy a handful of times in yellow maps (Tier 6+), then upgrade your Map Device with the Maven's Beacon. From there you "witness" escalating sets of map bosses in the Maven's Crucible — first 3 at once, then 4, 5, 6, and finally a 10-boss gauntlet — earning Crescent Splinters along the way. As Maxroll describes the finish: "10 Crescent Splinters can be merged into The Maven's Writ, a fragment you can use in your Map Device to open portals towards 'Absence of Mercy and Empathy,' where you can fight The Maven herself." Beat her there for the Ceremonial Voidstone.

One trap: you do not need "The Feared" for this Voidstone. The Feared is a separate, optional Maven's Invitation endgame fight — it is not part of the Voidstone path.

The Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds → Eldritch Voidstone

These two are the Eldritch endgame bosses, and their influence spreads across your Atlas from the two competing Beacons. For the Searing Exarch, you first beat The Black Star, then run Searing-influenced maps; Maxroll notes you run "a total of 28 influenced Maps. The bosses in Map number 14 and 28 drop the Polaric Invitation (Black Star) and Incandescent Invitation (Searing Exarch) respectively." For the Eater of Worlds, the mirror path: beat The Infinite Hunger, then run Eater-influenced red maps to earn the Screaming Invitation. Defeat both eldritch bosses and the single Eldritch Voidstone is yours.

The Shaper and The Elder → Decayed Voidstone

The classic pair. Assemble the Shaper's fragments (the four Guardian maps → Shaper's Realm) and complete the Elder's questline in his influenced maps. Beat both — again, the normal Elder is enough, Uber Elder is optional — and claim the Decayed Voidstone.

The Incarnation of Dread → Originator Voidstone

The newest of the four. You progress the Aeon memory questline in red maps — recovering a memory thread from maps, then following a chain that ends in a unique-map boss fight against the Incarnation of Dread. That first kill drops the Originator Voidstone.

What is the fastest order to get all 4 Voidstones?

You unlock them as your character and Atlas grow, so sequence by difficulty, not by name:

• The Maven (Ceremonial) — the Crucible ramps up gradually and you can start witnessing bosses the moment you hit yellow maps, so this is usually the first stone in.
• The Shaper + Elder (Decayed) — a well-trodden gear check; most builds that can clear T14s can do these.
• The Searing Exarch + Eater of Worlds (Eldritch) — requires grinding influence up on both sides of the Atlas, so it takes the most map volume even if the fights aren't the hardest.
• The Incarnation of Dread (Originator) — the deepest questline; save it for last once your Atlas and character are fully online.

If you are stuck on a specific pinnacle fight — the Maven's memory game, the Exarch's beam phases, or a deep-red Incarnation — that is exactly the wall a pinnacle boss carry clears in one sitting, so you can get back to mapping at max tier instead of throwing portals at a boss you're not geared for.

Did 3.29 Curse of the Allflame change Voidstones?

No — the Voidstone and Atlas system was not reworked in 3.29. The number of stones (four), the bosses that drop them, their names, and how you earn them are all unchanged. The only two Voidstone-adjacent lines in the official 3.29.0 patch notes are:

• "The Decayed Voidstone socket on the Atlas now connects to the Forge of the Phoenix, Pit of the Chimera and Lair of the Hydra (in addition to the Maze of the Minotaur)." — a small connectivity tweak, not a rework.
• "Upon completing Maps affected by a Voidstone, there is a chance that when you next open your Atlas an Anomaly may manifest." — a new optional endgame encounter layered on top.

So if you played last league, your muscle memory holds. The four bosses, the guaranteed first-kill drops, and the "all four = T16 maps" payoff are identical in Curse of the Allflame.
