Quick answer: Yes — your Gold Bars and your cosmetics carry over to WARDOGS Season 2 and stay on your account permanently. What does not carry over is your Cash and your XP/level progression: both reset at the wipe, and BULKHEAD automatically converts your banked Cash into Gold Bars on the way out. So anything you have already turned into a cosmetic in the Gold Market is safe forever, while raw Cash and your Season 1 levels are disposable, season-scoped assets. Season 2 lands on 15 October 2026 (BULKHEAD, "WARDOGS Season 02 Teaser," Steam, 22 September 2026), which gives you until then to decide what to do with your Season 1 Cash. Everything below is drawn from BULKHEAD's own announcements and devlogs; where a number isn't published, this guide says so.

What carries over to WARDOGS Season 2 (and what doesn't)
| The rule that governs the whole wipe comes straight from BULKHEAD's devlog *WARDOGS | Early Access & Beyond* (7 April 2026): |
|---|
"At the end of a season, your cash and XP progression will reset with your cash auto converted into gold bars… Your gold bars and cosmetics from a season will stay permanently on your account across seasons."
Read that twice, because the two halves of the sentence are the entire answer. There are really only two buckets in WARDOGS: permanent account assets and season-scoped assets.
Permanent — survives every wipe, kept forever:
- Gold Bars — the endgame currency you buy in the Gold Market by exchanging banked Cash. Once you hold Gold Bars, they stay.
- Cosmetics — anything you have already unlocked in the Gold Market (camos, charms, skins), plus any cosmetics from the $12.99 Supporter Pack. These are locked to your account across seasons.
Season-scoped — wiped at the start of Season 2:
- Cash — your in-match spending currency (the UI shows it with a `$`). It is auto-converted to Gold Bars at the reset.
- XP and levels — your progress on all six tracks (Career, Medic, Support, Driver, Pilot, Recon) resets to zero.
In other words: the grind resets, the trophies don't. Your rank, your unlock gates and your wallet start over; the things you spent that wallet on to make them permanent do not. This is the same model survival and extraction players will recognise from seasonal wipes elsewhere — the difference is WARDOGS hands you a safety net (the auto-conversion) instead of simply deleting your Cash.
Do Gold Bars reset in WARDOGS?
No. Gold Bars do not reset. They are explicitly named by BULKHEAD as one of the two things that "stay permanently on your account across seasons." This is the single most important fact for anyone sitting on a big Season 1 Cash pile right now: the moment that Cash becomes Gold Bars, it is wipe-proof.
It is worth being precise about why Gold Bars are the safe form of your wealth. BULKHEAD describes them (Steam announcement "WARDOGS – TOP QUESTIONS," 18 February 2026) as "the endgame currency used to obtain cosmetic unlocks in the Gold Market," obtained only by exchanging banked Cash — they are never sold for real money. BULKHEAD's Supporter Pack pledge states the rule verbatim: "We will NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars, they must be earned through play." So there is no shortcut: Gold Bars are earned Cash that you chose to lock in, and locking it in is exactly what protects it from the reset.
Do cosmetics carry over in WARDOGS?
Yes — every cosmetic you own is permanent. That covers Gold Market unlocks you buy with Gold Bars, and the cosmetics bundled in the Supporter Pack (the Valkyra A-91, Lonestar Bushmaster and Manticore KH-2002 starter-weapon camos, the Littlebird "Taxi" camo, a scoreboard Supporter Icon, and two bobbleheads). None of them touch the seasonal wipe.
BULKHEAD has been deliberate about this. Its third monetisation pledge reads: "We will NEVER allow you to directly purchase camos (camos should show that a player has worked hard to unlock that item not how much money they have)." The design intent is that your cosmetics are a permanent record of time invested — which only works if they survive season resets. They do.
What happens to my Cash at the Season 2 wipe?
Your Cash is auto-converted into Gold Bars when Season 2 begins. You do not lose the value outright — BULKHEAD turns it into the permanent currency for you. But there is a catch that makes the next eleven days matter: the Cash-to-Gold exchange rate fluctuates, framed by BULKHEAD as a market ("Do you invest now or do you buy in the dip?"). The exact conversion ratio has never been published, so nobody can tell you today how many Gold Bars a given Cash pile will become at the wipe.
That uncertainty is the whole argument for acting before the reset rather than letting it happen to you. If you convert on your own terms before 15 October, you choose the moment. If you let the auto-conversion do it, you take whatever rate the game applies at the wipe. For a full walkthrough of the exchange itself, see our guide on how to convert your Cash to Gold Bars before the Season 2 wipe, and the broader breakdown of what actually happens to your Cash and levels when Season 2 resets.
What happens to my levels and unlocks at the wipe?
Your XP and levels reset to zero, which means your unlock gates reset too. In WARDOGS, an item needs two things before you can field it: a level on the relevant track (which makes it available to buy) and enough Cash (its per-life purchase price at the vendor). When the levels wipe, the big Season 1 gates — the Artillery Tank at Career 90, the Heavy Tank at Driver 35, the Deagle at Career 85 — all lock again until you re-climb.
This is why levels are the least wipe-proof thing you own, and why spending late-season Cash on raw levels is poor value: you are buying progress that evaporates in days. If you are still grinding, our fastest way to level up before Season 2 guide covers the XP curve and which gates are actually worth chasing this close to a reset. If you are sitting on a pile of Cash instead, the smarter move is to spend it on things that keep value — which brings us to the practical plan.

The pre-wipe checklist: lock in what carries over
With Season 2 confirmed for 15 October 2026, here is the order of operations that protects the most value:
- Decide your Cash target. Any Cash you are holding "for later" is on a clock. Later is 15 October.
- Convert the Cash you want to keep into Gold Bars yourself, rather than relying on the wipe's auto-conversion at an unknown rate. Gold Bars are permanent the instant you hold them.
- Spend Gold Bars on cosmetics you actually want. A Gold Bar in the bank and a cosmetic on your account are both wipe-proof, so this step is about preference, not safety — buy the camos you'll be glad to still own in Season 2.
- Don't dump end-of-season Cash into raw levels. Levels reset; the XP you buy now is gone at the wipe. Spend on permanence, not on a ladder that's about to be kicked over.
A quick note on the Season 2 reveal itself: BULKHEAD's teaser showed a battlefield under heavy rain, pointing to a new weather system, and CEO Joe Brammer has flagged that vehicle and team-balance changes are coming. None of that changes the carry-over rules above — the reset mechanics are fixed by BULKHEAD's published policy — but it does mean the meta you re-level into will not be identical to Season 1's. Plan your spending around what you keep, not around a loadout you may need to relearn.
A note on accuracy — why this guide won't invent numbers
The WARDOGS search results are full of AI content farms that confidently publish season-end dates, conversion ratios and level caps that BULKHEAD has never stated. We don't. The only first-party facts about the wipe are: Cash and XP reset; Cash auto-converts to Gold Bars; Gold Bars and cosmetics are permanent; and Season 2 begins 15 October 2026. The Cash-to-Gold ratio, any Season 2 XP curve, and the full Season 2 content list are not published as of this writing (4 October 2026, Season 1, latest patch Update 0.1.2 of 30 September 2026). Treat anything more specific than that, from any source, as a guess.
How we can help before the wipe

Every service below is hand-played by real operators; we describe only our own guarantee and handling, never any claim about what the game's publisher permits.

Frequently asked questions
Do Gold Bars carry over to WARDOGS Season 2? Yes. BULKHEAD states that Gold Bars "stay permanently on your account across seasons." They do not reset at the wipe.
Do cosmetics reset when WARDOGS resets? No. Every cosmetic you own — Gold Market unlocks and Supporter Pack items alike — is permanent and survives every season reset.
What happens to my Cash in the Season 2 wipe? It is automatically converted into Gold Bars at the reset. You keep the value, but the conversion rate fluctuates and has never been published, so converting on your own terms before 15 October gives you more control.
Do my levels carry over to Season 2? No. XP and levels on all six tracks reset to zero, and the unlock gates they open reset with them. Only Gold Bars and cosmetics are permanent.
When does WARDOGS Season 2 start? 15 October 2026, confirmed first-party in BULKHEAD's "WARDOGS Season 02 Teaser" on Steam (22 September 2026). See our Season 2 start date guide for the full rundown.
Is there any way to keep my Cash as Cash through the wipe? No. There is no first-party mechanism to carry raw Cash across a reset — the only way to preserve its value is to convert it to Gold Bars (or spend it on cosmetics) before Season 2. For the step-by-step, see how to convert Cash to Gold Bars and what Gold Bars and the Gold Market actually are.
