Coren Direbrew can be killed once per character per day, and that single rule is the whole reason this is sold by the character. $5.22 per character buys the daily kill for the entire Brewfest window, and up to 10 characters can be farmed in parallel for $52.20 — ten rolls a day instead of one.
What he is: Coren Direbrew is the Brewfest boss, a level 73 elite summoned in the Grim Guzzler inside Blackrock Depths by the daily quest Insult Coren Direbrew, picked up at the Brewfest camps outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar. The quest needs level 65, and the kill itself is a couple of minutes with a group.
What drops: the two 100% ground mounts, Swift Brewfest Ram and Great Brewfest Kodo, plus the Brewfest trinkets — Direbrew's Dire Brew, Coren's Lucky Coin, the Balebrew and Brightbrew Charms — and weapons such as Direbrew's Shanker. In TBC this is a single loot set with no level scaling: every character sees the same table. The retail behavior where the drops scale to your level does not exist here.
We do not quote a mount drop rate. Blizzard never published one. The roughly 1% figures you find quoted are community-aggregated kill logs, not an official number, which is exactly why this is priced per character per event and never sold as a guaranteed mount.
When it runs: Brewfest opens in mid-September and closes in early October, roughly two and a half weeks. The exact dates for the Burning Crusade Anniversary realms are announced by Blizzard shortly before the event, so we do not print a day Blizzard has not confirmed. Order early and the farm is scheduled to opening day.
How it is delivered: piloted by default — a once-a-day kill across a two-and-a-half-week window cannot be delivered any other way — or Self-play Remote for 30% more. All US realms, both factions, scheduled around your ET or PT evenings. Manual play, no bots.
