Herbalism 1-375 is $100.77, or $64.84 for 300-375.
The herb that actually pays is Fel Lotus. It comes off Outland herb nodes at random and it is the flask reagent, which means a maxed herbalist funds their own consumables all phase. That is the real argument for this profession on a raiding character, well ahead of the skill number itself.
The progression:
- Felweed 275 — everywhere in Outland, out in the open;
- Dreaming Glory 315, Ragveil and Terocone 325, Flame Cap 335 in Zangarmarsh;
- Ancient Lichen 340 — inside dungeons only: Underbog, Slave Pens, Steamvault, Auchindoun. This is the step guide pages quietly skip, because it means running instances to level a gathering skill;
- Netherbloom 350 in Netherstorm, Nightmare Vine 365, Mana Thistle 375 in the level-70 zones.
Best routes: Zangarmarsh is flat and dense for Felweed, Ragveil and Flame Cap; Terokkar for Terocone and Dreaming Glory; Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley for Netherbloom, Nightmare Vine and Mana Thistle at the top.
Pair it with Alchemy. Herbalism supplies every flask, elixir and potion an alchemist makes, and the two together are the cheapest way to be self-sufficient on raid consumables.
One honest correction: Lifeblood does not exist in TBC. It was added in patch 3.0.2 with Wrath. A Burning Crusade herbalist gets no self-heal — anyone advertising it is describing a different expansion.
