Fishing 1-375 is $91.72, or $55.80 for 300-375.
Nobody enjoys this one. Fishing is hours of casting at pools with no shortcut and no auction-house route, and it is a secondary skill so it does not even cost you a profession slot to have someone else finish it. It is the single most-boosted skill in the game for exactly that reason.
What 375 actually gets you — the Terokkar highland lakes: Lake Jorune, Lake Ere'Noru and Blackwind Lake, reachable in practice only by flying. The Highland Mixed Pools there are the source of:
- Furious Crawdad, cooked into Spicy Crawdad — the best stamina food in TBC, and a raid-invite expectation on any tank;
- Golden Darter, cooked into Golden Fish Sticks — the top healing-power food;
- Mr. Pinchy, three random wishes with a shot at the Magical Crawdad pet.
About Mr. Pinchy, honestly: it is not a mount and the pet is not guaranteed. Three charges, four hours apart, and the outcomes include a hostile level 70 elemental that attacks you. We sell you the skill that lets you fish those pools, not a promise of the pet.
The route: Classic content to about 300, then Hellfire and Zangarmarsh Sporefish Schools to roughly 350, then Terokkar, Nagrand and Netherstorm pools to 375. Pools need far less skill than open water, which is why pool-hopping is the only sane path.
The dailies are at Silmyr Lake, not in Shattrath. Old Man Barlo stands at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, around [38, 12], and rotates the fishing dailies — Crocolisks in the City is completed in your own capital, not in Outland. Each one pays a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Note that Felblood Fillet is a patch 2.4 daily and is not in the rotation on the Anniversary realms yet.
