Leatherworking Leveling

Buy WoW TBC Anniversary Leatherworking Leveling

  • 1 - 375
  • Leg Armor
  • Drums at 365

Leatherworking 1-375 is $50.16, or $22.72 for 300-375.

Two things only a leatherworker has:

  • Nethercobra Leg Armor and Nethercleft Leg Armor — the physical-DPS and tank leg enchants that every raider re-buys on every single leg upgrade. That is a recurring cost you stop paying;
  • Drums, the raid-wide buff items, craftable from 365 skill (Outland Leatherworking 50).

The specialisation sets are the gear payoff: Windhawk Armor (Tribal) and Netherstrike Armor (Dragonscale) are best-in-slot or close for several specs. The branch is chosen at level 40 with 225 skill and is not permanent — switching costs 100 gold to your current specialist plus a look at Soothsaying for Dummies in Tanaris.

  • Dragonscale — mail, for hunters and shamans;
  • Elemental — agility leather, for rogues and feral druids;
  • Tribal — spirit and intellect leather, for balance and restoration druids.

This is the heaviest leather grind in the game. 250-300 alone eats around 506 Rugged Leather, the largest single material requirement in the whole guide, and 300-350 runs through roughly 466 Knothide plus 159 Heavy Knothide. Then 350-365 is the notorious dead zone where recipes go green and you burn leather on zero-point crafts.

Pair it with Skinning, which supplies almost everything. Enchanting is the common second pairing, to disenchant the leveling output.

Frequently asked questions

  • Nethercobra and Nethercleft Leg Armor are leatherworker-crafted and re-bought on every leg upgrade, and the Windhawk and Netherstrike specialisation sets are best-in-slot or close for several specs.

  • Yes. It costs 100 gold to your current specialist NPC plus consulting Soothsaying for Dummies in Tanaris. The branch is first chosen at level 40 with 225 skill.

  • 365 skill, which is Outland Leatherworking 50. That is one of the main reasons people push leatherworking to the cap rather than stopping earlier.

  • 250-300 needs roughly 506 Rugged Leather, the biggest single material requirement in the whole 1-375 run, and 350-365 is a dead zone of green recipes.
