AION 2 Daily & Weekly Reset Time + Checklist (Nov 1 Clock Change)

AION 2's reset clock is about to get confusing for a week. NC has scheduled NA East and NA West maintenance on 1 November for the end of US daylight saving, and most reset tables online were written before it and stop at "07:00 UTC".

This guide covers the AION 2 global PC build as of 31 October 2026, after the 28 October patch. It gives the reset time for your region before and after the clock change, the daily and weekly lists for a level 45 character, and which counters you can safely ignore on a busy day.

Quick answer: The AION 2 daily reset is at 07:00 UTC on every global server according to client-data trackers, and the weekly reset is Wednesday at the same moment. NC has not published one master reset time. That is 00:00 PDT, 03:00 EDT and 08:00 CET today. After US clocks change on 1 November, counters should reset at 23:00 PST the evening before, 02:00 EST and 08:00 CET. NC's attendance and event day runs on Pacific midnight, so it should land one hour later. Trust the in-game "Daily recharge in" countdown over any table, including this one.

What time is the AION 2 daily reset?

NC has never published one master reset time for the global service. What it has published is a set of separate clocks, and they happen to agree until 1 November:

Europe has already moved. The reset was 09:00 CEST until 25 October and is 08:00 CET now, which is why NC's 28 October notes say 8:00 AM.

What changes when the clocks go back on November 1?

Expect two things to split. Counters tied to the client's UTC+9 clock should stay at 07:00 UTC, so their local hour drops by one in the US. Anything NC schedules on Pacific midnight should keep its local hour in the US, which puts it one hour later in UTC.

WhereTodayCounters from Nov 1 (expected)Attendance and event day from Nov 1 (expected)

US West00:00 PDT23:00 PST, the evening before00:00 PST

Central Europe08:00 CET08:0009:00
Brasília time (UTC−3)04:0004:0005:00
Japan16:0016:0017:00

The right-hand column is our reading of NC's own dates. Three notices already use that boundary for periods after 1 November: Twitch Drops end 3 November at 23:59 PST / 4 November at 08:59 CET, the Ludra check-in ends 17 November at 23:59 PST / 18 November at 08:59 CET, and the Prelude to Flight pass ends at 12:00 AM PST / 09:00 CET on 2 December. Those are all 08:00 UTC boundaries, not 07:00.

NC has not confirmed either column for the global service, so treat both as expectations. The first clean test is the reset on Monday 2 November UTC, which would be Sunday evening at 23:00 PST on the West Coast. The first weekly test is Wednesday 4 November.

What happens during the NA maintenance?

Both windows run for 2 hours 30 minutes, and NC's stated purpose is the same: "Adjustments for the following time zone change".

RegionStartBack online (planned)
NA East31 Oct 22:30 PDT / 1 Nov 06:30 CET (01:30 EDT)03:00 EST
NA West1 Nov 01:30 PDT / 09:30 CET03:00 PST

Note that the NA East window runs from 05:30 to 08:00 UTC, so the 07:00 UTC reset falls inside it. Europe's equivalent maintenance on 25 October was followed by a bad reset. NC wrote that "some players did not receive their Shugo keys and Nightmare tickets with the daily reset this morning (CET)", and the 28 October notes said the entry passes "that were not reset as intended in the EU region on Oct 25 will be granted". If your Nightmare attempts or Shugo keys don't refill on 1 November, screenshot the counter before you spend anything. NC made Europe whole last time.

Event times are a separate matter. Shugo.gg reports that Spacetime Rifts, Artifact Sieges and Shugo Festival follow each region's own local clock, so those hours should stay put on your clock while the reset moves. NC has not published the global event schedule, so check the first rift after the change.

What should you do every day in AION 2?

This list is for a level 45 main. Numbers below come from MetaBot's read of the global client unless marked otherwise, and NC has not published most of them.

Daily taskRefillCapSkip window from an empty counter
Duty Missions5 paid completions a day, per serverNo bankingLost
Odyle Energy+15 every 3 hours (120 a day)560, or 840 with MembershipSafe for 4 days 16 hours
Nightmare attempts+2 a day14Safe for 7 days
Shugo Festival keys+3 a day, per server12, or 21 with MembershipSafe for 4 days
Dimensional Invasion key+1 a day7Safe for 7 days
Conquest reward count+1 every 8 hours21Safe for 7 days
Transcendence reward count+1 every 12 hours14Safe for 7 days

Work through it in this order:

  • Claim your login items. That means Atreia's Call attendance (until the 2 December maintenance) and the Ludra Odyle Energy Boost, which mails 4 Odyle Energy per account per day until the maintenance on 10 November PST / 11 November CET.
  • Do your 5 Duty Missions on your main. This is the only item on the list that can't bank. Each pays 50,000 bound Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points, and the limit belongs to the server, so an alt on the same server does not get five more. Our Abyss Points guide shows where that fits in your weekly climb.
  • Spend Odyle Energy before it caps. Conquest cubes cost 40 at most dungeons, so a day's refill pays for three claims. If you are chasing a weapon, the Fire Temple guide covers what those claims return.
  • Use both Nightmare attempts on your next uncleared tier. The tooltip says the count is "deducted upon clearing", so a wipe costs nothing.
  • Use Shugo and Dimensional Invasion keys when convenient. Shugo Festival runs hourly at :00 and Invasion hourly at :30, per Shugo.gg.

Those skip windows assume the counter starts empty, so a half-full counter gives you half the time. Odyle Energy and Shugo keys are the two that overflow within five days without Membership. Nightmare, Conquest and Transcendence each hold a full week, so a busy day costs you nothing as long as they aren't already near their cap.

What do you need to finish before the weekly reset?

Weekly counters don't bank. Three unused Ascension Trial entries refill to three, not six, so these are what you lose by leaving them.

Weekly taskLimit
Sanctuary raid attempts4 per raid
Ascension Trial3 entries
Subjugation3 tickets
Exploration rewards7 per Expedition dungeon
Daily Dungeon entries14, shared per server (MetaBot)
Abyss time7 hours per layer (MetaBot lists 14 with Membership for Lower and Middle)
Growth dungeon time7 hours each
Season 1 Daeva Pass XP50,000
Prelude to Flight pass XP15,000 per character (NC)

Three of these catch people out:

  • Daily Dungeon is weekly, despite the name. Two runs a day is the steady pace, but you can do all 14 on Tuesday night. NC's new Odylium Repository shares its entry count with Daeva Bio-Research Base, so it isn't extra runs.
  • The Abyss has a weekly Abyss Point limit, tracked separately for PvE and PvP. MetaBot quotes the tooltip: once you reach it, "only a small amount of additional Abyss Points can be obtained through Spacetime Rifts". Spend your 7 hours early in the week, while the rewards still count. Our Abyss guide covers corridors, and they're easy to miss. One r/Aion2 player wrote this week: "It wasn't till 90 hours in that I discovered the abyss corridors existed."
  • Some caps stay hidden until you hit them. Conquest final-boss kills stop at 35 a week, Transcendence at 28, and the 10-per-server Unobtained Cube count is a weekly allowance for leaving a dungeon without claiming its cube. The tooltip MetaBot quotes reads "Clearing and exiting the dungeon without obtaining Odyle Energy Cube rewards will still lower the count", and at zero you can't enter Conquest or Transcendence until reset, so always take the cube.

Shops refill on Wednesday too. After the 28 October patch, Wind Breeze Merchants sells Instant Clear Tickets for Nightmare and for the Daily Dungeon at 14 per server per week, 30,000 Kina each, plus Odyle Energy limited to 4 per character and 16 per server each week (NC patch notes). GameRant lists Wind Breeze as Membership-only.

When should you stop playing on Tuesday night?

Plan around the earlier of two events: the weekly reset and the weekly maintenance.

Since launch, weekly maintenance has started at 23:30 PDT on Tuesday, which is 06:30 UTC and 30 minutes before the reset, according to SenseOS's log of NC's notices. You have effectively been losing weekly entries at maintenance, not at reset. NC's last maintenance ran 4 hours 30 minutes.

If NC keeps the 23:30 Pacific slot after 1 November, maintenance moves to 07:30 UTC, after the expected 07:00 UTC reset. NC has given the day for the 3 November PST maintenance but not the hour. The safe rule for the next few weeks is to finish weeklies by 22:30 PST on Tuesday, 01:30 EST or 07:30 CET on Wednesday, which leaves 30 minutes before the expected reset. If NC posts an earlier maintenance start, finish before that instead.

That maintenance is also a busy one. It ends the Halloween event and brings Ludra back on 4 November, with item level gates of 2,800 for Normal and 3,000 for Hard. Spend your last Pumpkin Coins and finish the weekly event missions before it.

How should you plan the week?

  • Wednesday, after maintenance: spend the counters that don't bank first, starting with raid attempts, Ascension Trial, Subjugation and Exploration rewards. Spend your first Abyss hours too.
  • Thursday to Monday: run the daily list. Skip days freely, but look at Odyle Energy before you log off.
  • Weekend: catch up on Abyss hours and push new Nightmare tiers.
  • Tuesday: clear whatever weekly entries remain, top up pass XP, and use any Instant Clear Tickets.

Short on time? Do this 20-minute version and stop: claim mail, finish 5 Duty Missions, dump Odyle Energy into Conquest or Transcendence, and use two Nightmare attempts. Everything else can wait for a longer session.

One warning for anyone tempted to automate this. NC restricted 4,651 accounts on 28 October for bots, macros and RMT, while stating that "Normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected." The inactivity kick to the lobby also dropped from 3 hours to 30 minutes in the same patch. If you get caught in a lock, see our account restricted guide.

FAQ

What time is the AION 2 daily reset? 07:00 UTC on every global server, per client-data trackers rather than an NC statement. That is 00:00 PDT, 03:00 EDT, 08:00 CET and 16:00 in Japan today. After the US clock change, expect 23:00 PST and 02:00 EST for counters.

What time is the AION 2 weekly reset? Wednesday at the same moment as the daily reset. On the US West Coast it should fall on Tuesday night at 23:00 PST after the clock change.

Does the AION 2 reset change with daylight saving? The underlying moment should not move for dungeon counters, so your local hour does. Attendance and event days use Pacific midnight in NC's notices, so those keep their US local hour and shift by one hour in UTC. NC has not confirmed this for the global service, so check the in-game countdown.

Why do some sites say the reset is at 05:00? That's the Korean and Taiwanese services. Global resets at a different time, so don't take reset hours from Korean guides or timers set to them.

Do unused AION 2 weekly entries carry over? No. Raid attempts, Ascension Trial entries, Subjugation tickets and Exploration rewards refill to their cap on Wednesday. Nightmare, Conquest and Transcendence counts do bank, up to 14, 21 and 14.

Do alts get their own Duty Missions? Duty Mission payouts are limited to 5 per server, so a second character on the same server shares them. MetaBot lists Daily Dungeon entries, Shugo and Invasion keys and the Unobtained Cube count as per server too, while raids, Ascension Trial, Subjugation, Exploration, Nightmare and Odyle Energy are per character.

Why didn't my Nightmare tickets refill after the time change? It happened to some European players on 25 October, right after their clock-change maintenance, and NC granted the missing passes in the 28 October patch. Screenshot the counter and contact NC support if it recurs.

Building your weekly routine? These AION 2 guides cover what to spend it on.

The bottom line

Use 07:00 UTC as your working reset time, knowing it comes from client data rather than an NC statement, and expect it an hour earlier on US clocks after 1 November. Attendance and event days should stay on Pacific midnight. Three daily items really demand attention: Duty Missions, which can't bank, and Odyle Energy and Shugo keys, which cap within five days. Weekly entries are lost at reset, so finish them by 22:30 PST on Tuesday. We'll update these tables once the 2 and 4 November resets show the real hours.
