What new weapons are in Fortnite Treasure Hunters?
Epic listed all 11 in its v43.00 Treasure Hunters notes, published when the update went live on 1 November 2026. Downtime closed at 08:12 UTC. The descriptions below are Epic's. The "best for" column is our read of those descriptions and the published stats, not a hands-on test.
| Item | What Epic says it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Gum-Gum Fruit | Transforms you into Luffy, with long-range rubber punches, foot slams and a charged launch | Closing distance |
| Flame-Flame Fruit | Transforms you into Ace, with rapid shots and a Fire Fist finisher | Sustained pressure |
| Zoro's Three Sword Style | Three katanas for close fights, with a dash | Pushing into a fight |
| A$AP Rocky's Shock Rocket | Shock Rock charges lift you up, then you fire rockets down | Taking high ground |
| Usopp's Slingshot | Heavy single rounds | Long-range picks |
| Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle | Fully automatic rifle, best at medium range | Your main gun |
| Gilded Dragoon Shotgun | Single-fire shotgun, big damage, small magazine | One-shot peeks |
| Explosive Cannon Ball | Throw it, or load it into a Cannon | Breaking cover |
| Nami's Tangerine | Restores health and shields, with a speed boost in water | Rotating through water |
| Meat on a Stick | Heals, then keeps healing for a short while | Between fights |
| Wanted Poster | Tear one down for a Sprite Treasure Map to a buried Sprite Chest | Farming Sprites |
Epic says the Shock Rocket and Explosive Cannon Ball are "Available in non-Competitive play". It doesn't mention Ranked separately, so check your playlist before you plan around either one.
What are the Treasure Hunters weapon stats?
These are fortnite.gg's v43.00 figures for the lowest rarity it shows in Battle Royale. They come from its loot pool page, not from Epic, and Epic's notes don't print damage numbers.
| Weapon | Rarity shown | Damage | DPS | Mag | Reload |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Machine SMG | Uncommon | 14 | 189 | 33 | 2.52s |
| Tactical SMG | Uncommon | 19 | 172.9 | 26 | 2.1s |
| Sidearm Pistol | Uncommon | 27 | 171.5 | 14 | 1.63s |
| Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle | Uncommon | 20 | 170 | 32 | 2.89s |
| Hammer Assault Rifle | Common | 27 | 156.6 | 20 | 2.42s |
| Gilded Dragoon Shotgun | Uncommon | 142 | 142 | 1 | 1.94s |
| Auto Shotgun | Uncommon | 88.8 | 133.2 | 8 | 5.78s |
| Sentinel Pump Shotgun | Uncommon | 98.4 | 83.6 | 4 | 5.15s |
| Usopp's Slingshot | Uncommon | 77 | 80.9 | 1 | 0.35s |
| Explosive Cannon Ball | Rare | 80 | 80 | n/a | n/a |
| Flint-Knock Pistol | Uncommon | 86 | 28.4 | 1 | 3.05s |
Three things stand out:
- The Bundlebuss has the deepest magazine in the rifle slot. It holds 32 rounds against the Hammer Assault Rifle's 20, and fortnite.gg shows full damage out to 50 metres. At 100 metres and beyond, a body shot drops from 20 to 16.5.
- The Dragoon is a true close-range gun. Full damage only reaches 8 metres, and past 22 metres it halves to 71.
- The Slingshot reloads almost instantly. That 0.35-second reload makes up for the one-round magazine, and a headshot deals 138.6. Full damage holds to 25 metres, and it only falls to 73.2 beyond 100 metres.
Rarity adds real power to both new guns:
| Rarity | Bundlebuss DPS | Bundlebuss reload | Dragoon DPS | Dragoon reload |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 170 | 2.89s | 142 | 1.94s |
| Rare | 178.5 | 2.75s | 149 | 1.85s |
| Epic | 187 | 2.61s | 156 | 1.76s |
| Legendary | 195.5 | 2.48s | 164 | 1.67s |
Treat all of this as launch-day data. If Epic adjusts a weapon in a later update, the numbers will move.
Which Treasure Hunters weapons should you pick up first?
On paper, we'd carry a Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle as the main gun, a shotgun for close range, and an SMG if your shotgun has a slow reload. That's a stats-based starting point, not a tested tier list.
- Rifle: take the Bundlebuss over a same-rarity Hammer Assault Rifle for the 12 extra rounds per magazine. Its DPS edge is small (170 against 168.2 at Uncommon), and the Hammer hits harder per shot and reloads faster.
- Shotgun: the Dragoon has the highest damage and the fastest reload of the three, but a miss leaves you with nothing loaded. The Auto Shotgun gives you eight shells and a 5.78-second reload to pay for them.
- SMG: the Machine SMG leads on DPS. The Tactical SMG hits harder per shot and reloads faster.
- Heals: the Tangerine covers health and shields, and fortnite.gg lists both it and Meat on a Stick at a 10% chest rate.
Crossbones Isle holds 80 players, and our Treasure Hunters map guide covers where each POI sits.
How do you get the Shock Rocket?
Beat A$AP Rocky aboard The $.$. Rocky. Epic says "he can drop his Shock Rocket, along with the brand-new Lil' Flacko Sprite", so the drop isn't described as guaranteed. Rocky arrives with the first Captain's Day, which Epic set for 9 AM ET (14:00 UTC) on 1 November. Epic hasn't published a spawn timer or his health.
Epic hasn't said where the Gum-Gum Fruit and Flame-Flame Fruit spawn, and fortnite.gg's main loot table doesn't list a chest rate for them at the time of writing. Its table does list Zoro's Three Sword Style at Epic rarity, with an 8.2% chest rate and 0.56% on the floor. Epic's 30 October post says Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays add Captain's weapons at match start, so those windows are the ones to watch. We'll add confirmed sources once they've been checked in-game.
What weapons were unvaulted in v43.00?
Epic's notes unvault these for Battle Royale:
- Shotguns: Sentinel Pump Shotgun, Auto Shotgun
- Pistols: Flint-Knock Pistol, Sidearm Pistol
- SMGs: Machine SMG, Tactical SMG
- Rifles: Hammer Assault Rifle
- Utility: Zipline Deployer, Overdrive Grenade
- Consumables: Slurp Juice, Shield Fish, Jellyfish, Slurpfish, Hop Flopper, Spicy Fish
Later in the season, Epic promises the Lever Action Shotgun, Frenzy Auto Shotgun and Flapjack Rifle. Oscar's arrival on 21 November brings the Frenzy Auto Shotgun specifically. Miku and Teto's arrival on 14 November adds "returning weapons, plus a leek you can wield".

Which weapons were removed from Fortnite?
Epic's notes don't print a Battle Royale vault list, so this comes from fortnite.gg's v43.00 weapon changes. That log shows these leaving the main Battle Royale pool:
- Rifles: Assault Rifle, Balloon Popper Assault Rifle
- Shotguns: Pump Shotgun, 8-Bit Shotgun, Sweeper Shotgun, Wood Stake Shotgun
- SMGs and pistols: Bonerattler SMG, Rebecca's Guns, Tactical Pistol, Dual Fiend Hunters
- Mythics: Enhanced Assault Rifle, Enhanced 8-Bit Shotgun, Midas' Masterpiece, High Stakes' Shotgun
- Items: Kingdom Key, Mega Buster, Sonic Power Sneakers, Sea Salt Ice Cream
Losing the standard Assault Rifle and Pump Shotgun at the same time is the biggest change to muscle memory. If you've played the Pump for months, the Sentinel Pump Shotgun is the closest swap.
Why did Fortnite remove Gold Bars and Vending Machines?
Epic didn't give a reason. Its notes state the change in one line:
"Gold Bars have been vaulted: Follower services are now free. Vending Machines have been removed. Pocket-O-Matic's remain available in Zero Build." — Epic, v43.00 Treasure Hunters notes, 1 November 2026
Here's what that means in a match:
- Followers: the service you used to pay Gold Bars for now costs nothing.
- Vending Machines: you can't buy upgrades or items from them anymore, so chests and floor loot matter more.
- Zero Build: Pocket-O-Matics stay, with Shockwave Grenade, Port-A-Bunker and Shield Bubble Jr. listed as Pocket Items.
- Reload: this mode differs. Gold Bars are vaulted there too, but Vending Machine and Pocket-O-Matic items are simply free.
On r/FortNiteBR, the launch thread's most common reaction was surprise, plus the joke that a treasure-hunting season had removed the gold. One player asked whether "Follower services are now free" means the NPCs you can hire, and that's the plain reading.
Did Epic change the Golden Apple?
Yes. It now grants 40 Effective Health instead of 50 HP, and any healing over your maximum spills into your Shield. Its low-gravity effect lasts slightly longer, and it turns up in Produce Boxes a little more often.
How do Wanted Posters work?
Spot a Wanted Poster on a wall and tear it down. It becomes a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest. Epic says Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters appear in bigger numbers this season, and every Monday from 9 AM ET Mastery Monday gives 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust.
The Exmarks Sprite reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters, so it's a good one to keep while you farm them. Our Sprite events schedule tracks the boosted windows.
FAQ
Is the Pump Shotgun in Fortnite Treasure Hunters? Not the standard version. fortnite.gg's v43.00 log removes the Pump Shotgun from Battle Royale, and Epic's notes unvault the Sentinel Pump Shotgun instead.
Are there Mythic weapons in Treasure Hunters? Epic's notes don't assign rarities to the Gum-Gum Fruit, Flame-Flame Fruit or Shock Rocket. Outlets called the One Piece powers Mythic before launch, but Epic hasn't said so. fortnite.gg lists Zoro's Three Sword Style as Epic rarity.
Can you use the Shock Rocket in Ranked? Epic only says it's "Available in non-Competitive play", and it says the same about the Explosive Cannon Ball. It doesn't name Ranked, so check the in-game playlist.
Are Gold Bars coming back? Epic hasn't said. It used the word "vaulted", which in Fortnite usually means an item can return, but no date or promise exists.
What's the Reload loot pool in v43.00? Reload gets Zoro's Three Sword Style, Usopp's Slingshot, the Bundlebuss, the Dragoon, the Explosive Cannon Ball and Nami's Tangerine. Its v43.00 notes also vault Gold Bars there, and Surf City joins the rotation.
