Quick answer (updated 30 October 2026, ahead of Treasure Hunters and v43.00): The Fortnite Treasure Hunters map is Crossbones Isle, a new 80-player Battle Royale island that replaces the Override map on 1 November 2026. The official map shows 12 named POIs: Rubber Resort, The Chest, Loot Lagoon, Lil' Uzi's Stronghold, Lantern Landing, Arlong Park, Cursed Cavern, The $.$. Rocky, Windmill Village, Loguetown, Plunder Port and Busy Bay. New captains and crews arrive through November, and the mini-season builds to a Chapter 7 end event on Saturday 5 December.

Key takeaways
- 12 POIs are labelled on the official map. Arlong Park, Windmill Village and Loguetown come from One Piece. The $.$. Rocky and Lil' Uzi's Stronghold are the music collab locations.
- Lobbies drop from 100 to 80 players, the same cap as last year's Simpsons mini-season.
- Cannons are the new way around. Epic says you climb in and launch across the island.
- The map isn't finished on day one. Epic says a new captain arrives each week with a crew and a POI.
- Baratie, Marigold and Foosha Village aren't POI labels. You'll see those names online, but they don't appear on Epic's map.
- Nobody has played it yet. Everything here comes from Epic's reveal on 30 October, and the landing advice is our reading of the map, not match data.
What is the new Fortnite map called?
The new map is called Crossbones Isle. Epic named it in its Treasure Hunters announcement on 30 October 2026:
"Climb into a cannon to launch across the new 80-player Crossbones Isle where you can visit Arlong Park and Windmill Village from One Piece."
You may see it written as "Crossbone Isles" in some coverage. Epic's spelling is Crossbones Isle.
The island lands with update v43.00. It replaces the Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" island in Battle Royale, and esports.gg reports that it stays the map for the whole mini-season. GameSpot describes it as a smaller island with a lot more water than the Chapter 7 map. Epic hasn't published its exact size.
This only applies to the main game. Fortnite OG is a separate line, and it's still on OG Chapter 1: Season X "Out of Time" with its own island.
Where is every POI on Crossbones Isle?
These are all 12 labels on Epic's official map, grouped by where they sit on the island.
| POI | Where it is | What the map shows |
|---|---|---|
| Rubber Resort | Far north-west island | Separate island, with what looks like a bridge to the desert |
| The Chest | Islets west of the northern desert | Small island group off the main coast |
| Loot Lagoon | North, centre | Orange desert, where the river reaches the northern coast |
| Lil' Uzi's Stronghold | North-east | Desert edge, next to a large green island |
| Lantern Landing | West of centre | Pink-tree area just north of the purple ring |
| Arlong Park | West coast island | Walled compound, with what looks like a bridge to the mainland |
| Cursed Cavern | Centre-east | Dark crater in the middle of the green zone |
| The $.$. Rocky | East coast island | A$AP Rocky's battleship, moored on the shore |
| Windmill Village | South-west island | Large green island, with a link to the mainland |
| Loguetown | South of centre | Dense town on the northern shore of the southern bay |
| Plunder Port | South coast | Docks, with two ships moored off the coast |
| Busy Bay | South-east | Two connected islands in the corner of the map |
The map also has features with no label. The biggest is the purple ring in the centre-west, which Epic hasn't explained. There's also a small yellow island in the southern bay and a long orange peninsula pointing east from the desert.
Which One Piece locations are on the map?
Three of the labelled POIs are direct One Piece locations:
- Arlong Park is the fish-man pirates' base. Epic's screenshot shows the tiered tower with shark heads and pools around it, and a sign reading Arlong Park.
- Windmill Village is Luffy's home town. Some One Piece translations call it Foosha Village, which is why that name keeps turning up in leaks. Epic uses Windmill Village.
- Loguetown is the port town from the East Blue saga. esports.gg lists it as a One Piece location. Epic's announcement doesn't name it.
The Chest is the one to watch. Epic teases that "new treasures lie hidden across the Island, including what's inside Captain X's mega chest." It hasn't said that mega chest sits at The Chest POI. The name makes that the obvious guess, but it's still a guess until the island is live.
Our Fortnite One Piece collab page covers the wider crossover.
What is The $.$. Rocky?
The $.$. Rocky is A$AP Rocky's battleship POI on the east coast. Epic's line is: "Board the $.$. Rocky, A$AP Rocky's new battleship POI, and rain rockets from above with A$AP Rocky's Shock Rocket."
The official screenshot shows a grey ship painted with "AWGE" and "Don't Be Dumb", with deck guns, a helicopter on the pad and buildings on the shore beside it. The guns may be set dressing, because Epic hasn't said whether they can be used.
Vice reports that you challenge A$AP Rocky aboard the ship for a chance at the Shock Rocket. Epic's post doesn't describe a boss fight, so treat the exact method as unconfirmed until launch. Either way, expect this POI to be crowded early in the season.
How many players are on the new Fortnite map?
Crossbones Isle holds 80 players, down from the usual 100. That's 20 fewer per match. GameSpot notes it's the same cap as the Springfield island during last year's Simpsons mini-season.
The smaller lobby comes with a smaller island, so don't assume matches will feel emptier. Epic hasn't published the island's size, and Reddit players are already asking whether it's bigger than Springfield. Only live matches will settle how crowded it feels.
How do the cannons work?
Epic's whole explanation is that you climb into a cannon to launch across the island. It hasn't shown where the cannons are or how far they fire. The map doesn't mark them, and no cannon list exists yet.
They matter on this island because so many POIs sit offshore. Rubber Resort, Arlong Park, Windmill Village, The $.$. Rocky and Busy Bay all appear to depend on narrow crossings. If that holds, a cannon gives you a way out that doesn't run across a bridge in the open.

When do the new POIs and crews arrive?
Epic's rule is simple: "Each week, a new captain arrives in Battle Royale with their own crew and POI: the Straw Hats and A$AP Rocky lead the way, followed by Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto."
New weapons, Sprites and more drop on Captain's Days. Epic's dates are below, with the matching Item Shop arrivals for context.
| Date (2026) | Captain's Day | Item Shop arrivals |
|---|---|---|
| Sun 1 Nov | Yes, 9 AM ET (14:00 UTC) | Luffy, Nami, Usopp |
| Thu 5 Nov | No | A$AP Rocky, 7 PM ET |
| Sat 7 Nov | Yes | Zoro, Sanji, Chopper Sidekick |
| Thu 12 Nov | Yes | Lil Uzi Vert |
| Fri 13 Nov | No | Buggy |
| Sat 14 Nov | Yes | Kasane Teto, Cap'n Hatsune Miku |
| Sat 21 Nov | Yes | None announced |
Epic gave a start time only for the first Captain's Day. Some sites print 9 AM ET for all five, but Epic's post doesn't say that. It also hasn't said which captain each date belongs to, or what 21 November brings. The Shop dates suggest a pattern, but that's our inference.
This matters for one label. Lil' Uzi's Stronghold is already on the map, yet Epic lists Lil Uzi Vert after the first wave. It may stay closed or empty until that crew arrives, or the crew may simply move in later. Nobody has confirmed which. Our Lil Uzi Vert page and Teto and Miku page track those collabs.
Two weekly events also run all season: Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays. Epic says they add Captain's weapons to the start of every match, boosted drops and more.
Which names aren't on the map?
Several place names from the leaks and trailer readings don't appear as labels on Epic's final map.
- Baratie. The restaurant ship is real. Epic's screenshots show it with the name on its hull, but it has no POI label, and Epic hasn't said where it sits.
- Marigold. Beebom read this from the 27 October trailer. It isn't on the map.
- Foosha Village. It's the same place as Windmill Village under another translation.
Where should you land on Crossbones Isle?
This is our reading of the map, not match data. No one has played Crossbones Isle yet, so we'll revise it after launch.
- For early fights, try Loguetown or Lantern Landing. Both sit close to the middle, with roads running out of them. You can rotate in several directions.
- For a quiet start, try Rubber Resort or Busy Bay. Both are at the edge of the map, so fewer people should pass through. The cost is a longer rotation.
- For Shock Rocket hunting, go to The $.$. Rocky. Expect company in the first few days.
- Treat the islands with care. Arlong Park, Windmill Village and The Chest look safe, but a closing storm could force you over a single crossing. Learn the nearest cannon as soon as you can.
- Skip Lil' Uzi's Stronghold until you know it's active. It could be empty in week one.
Weapons will shape this too. Epic confirms Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit, Zoro's Three Sword Style and A$AP Rocky's Shock Rocket. Outlets also list Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit and Usopp's Slingshot from the trailer. Beebom calls them Mythics, though Epic's post doesn't use that word or give locations.
When can you play on Crossbones Isle?
You can play once v43.00 goes live on 1 November 2026. Epic hasn't published a downtime time. Its status page had no v43.00 maintenance entry when we checked on 30 October at 15:20 UTC.
Early patch-note coverage expects downtime around 2 AM ET, and Vice expects servers back around 7 AM ET. Both are estimates. The firmest marker is Epic's first Captain's Day at 9 AM ET on 1 November. Our v43.00 update page and server status page will carry the real times once Epic posts them.
Will the old Fortnite map come back?
Epic hasn't said. It's only confirmed the next major marker: "keep Saturday, December 5, open. Time is on your side… for now. Don't miss an unforgettable Chapter 7 end event."
That gives Crossbones Isle about five weeks, and our season end date tracker follows the exact timing. Epic hasn't said what the next chapter's island looks like, or whether any of the Override map survives.
