Genshin 7.2 Banners: Mitya, Furina, Phase 2 and the Starsealed Edict Weapon Banner

The Genshin 7.2 banner lineup is no longer a leak list. Between the 23 October Special Program, the official press release and a weapon post HoYoverse published on 28 October, every promotional five-star of Version 7.2 "Hour of Ruin" is now in writing. What is still missing is the full four-star roster for Phase 2 and the exact hour each phase switches over.

This page covers both halves of the version, the new weapon banner and the timing, and it marks clearly which parts are official and which are projections.

Quick answer: Version 7.2 launches on 4 November 2026. Phase 1 puts Mitya (5-star Electro Catalyst, new) on the "Myriad Patterns Unfold" Event Wish next to a Furina (Hydro) rerun, with Valeriy (4-star Electro Sword, new) on a boosted drop rate. Phase 2 brings back Zibai and Linnea (both Geo) along with a Chronicled Wish of Natlan characters: Varesa, Chasca, Xilonen, Mualani and Kinich. The Epitome Invocation opens with the 7.2 update and boosts the new 5-star catalyst Starsealed Edict (Base ATK 542, CRIT DMG 88.20%). The current Skirk and Escoffier banners end on 3 November at 14:59 server time.

Article status: updated 28 October 2026 for Version 7.2. The Phase 1 and Phase 2 characters come from HoYoverse's official Special Program recap image and its 23 October press release. The release date comes from the HoYoLAB Version 7.2 Events Overview (post 47176673). Weapon stats are transcribed from the official Version 7.2 New Weapon Overview (HoYoLAB post 47230963, published 28 October 2026). Current banner end times come from the live in-game announcement feed (notices 21888, 21889 and 21890, read on 28 October). We used no leaks, beta builds or datamines.

When do the current Genshin banners end?

3 November 2026 at 14:59 server time. All three live wishes print the same window in their in-game notices:

Current wishPromotional 5-starEnds (server time)

Server time is local to your account's region, so the same deadline falls at different moments around the world:

America (UTC-5)3 November, 19:59 UTCNew York 14:59, Los Angeles 11:59

The old banners close before the new version arrives, not at the same moment. In the in-game feed, the 7.1 version notices expire on 4 November at 06:00 UTC+8. In 7.0 and 7.1, update maintenance started at 06:00 UTC+8, which is 22:00 UTC the evening before. For at least several hours, no limited character banner will be live. If you are sitting on high pity and planning to decide on update day, decide before 3 November instead. The update timing for every region is covered in our Genshin 7.2 release date guide.

What are the Genshin 7.2 Phase 1 banners?

Phase 1 opens after the 4 November update with two promotional five-stars running in parallel:

  • "Rules Set at Naught" Mitya (Electro) is the new character. His banner is "Myriad Patterns Unfold", the only Event Wish printed on the official Version 7.2 Event Calendar, starting 4 November.
  • "Endless Solo of Solitude" Furina (Hydro) returns as a rerun on the second character banner.
  • "Fort Fulguration" Valeriy (Electro) is the new four-star. HoYoverse states he "will also appear in Phase 1 of the event wishes, in which he will receive a huge drop-rate boost."

Official Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Event Wishes Preview, Phase 1 panel with Mitya (Electro) and Furina (Hydro) and the note that Valeriy gets a drop-rate boost

HoYoverse's 23 October press release fills in the weapon types the showcase images left out. Mitya "joins the playable roster as a 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder", and Valeriy is "a 4-star Electro Sword wielder and disciplined Major of the Armory Palace who provides shields and boosts Electro DMG, particularly for Stellar-Conduct reaction teams."

That pairing is deliberate. Mitya converts the team's Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct and boosts the party's Stellar-Conduct DMG. Valeriy's shield and Electro buff are tuned for the same reaction. His kit is worth a full read if you play Electro, and both are broken down in our Genshin 7.2 characters guide.

Mitya has one more practical detail. According to the press release, completing the 7.2 Archon Quest within the designated period grants 560 Primogems and Character Ascension Materials for Mitya. The Archon Quest opens with the update, so you can earn them while his Phase 1 banner is live.

Who are the other Phase 1 four-stars? HoYoverse has not published them yet. The recap names only Valeriy. The other two boosted slots will appear in the in-game Event Wish notice when the banner goes live. Any list you see before that is a prediction.

What are the Genshin 7.2 Phase 2 banners?

The second half of 7.2 is a double rerun plus a separate wish type. In the press release's words: "The second phase sees the return of Zibai and Linnea, accompanied by a new Chronicled Wish featuring certain Natlan characters."

  • "White Horse's Fleeting Spring" Zibai (Geo), a five-star Sword user.
  • "Augur of Wonders" Linnea (Geo).

Official Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Event Wishes Preview, Phase 2 panel with Zibai (Geo) and Linnea (Geo)

Both are Geo, and both are Moonsign characters, so, like Mitya and Valeriy, they share a reaction and make sense as a pair. Linnea's Moonsign passive converts Hydro Crystallize into Lunar-Crystallize, the reaction Zibai's DEF-scaling kit is built around. Our Zibai build and Linnea build cover the 2,000 DEF breakpoint and the team rules.

The Phase 2 Chronicled Wish. The official recap's selectable-character panel lists five Natlan five-stars:

Selectable 5-star characterSelectable 5-star weapon shown
VaresaVivid Notions
ChascaAstral Vulture's Crimson Plumage
XilonenPeak Patrol Song
MualaniSurf's Up
KinichFang of the Mountain King

Each row pairs a character with the signature weapon they launched alongside, as a reading aid. The recap lists the weapons as a separate panel and does not pair them itself. The Chronicled Wish has its own rules: you choose a Chronicled Path target, and its pity is not the character Event Wish counter. Read that wish's details screen before you put a guarantee into it.

When does Genshin 7.2 Phase 2 start?

HoYoverse has not published a Phase 2 date. The official Version 7.2 Event Calendar has a single Event Wish row, "Myriad Patterns Unfold", starting 4 November, and no second-phase marker. That is the same layout the 7.1 calendar used.

What you can reason from is the version length and the last cycle:

  • 7.2 starts 4 November 2026 (official).
  • The calendar's main version event, "The Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgment", runs 11/04 to 12/16, which matches a normal six-week version.
  • In 7.1, Phase 2 opened on 13 October at 18:00 server time, 20 days after the 23 September update (in-game notices 21888 to 21890).

Apply the same rhythm and Phase 2 lands around 24 to 25 November 2026. That is our projection from the previous cycle, not a date HoYoverse has published. Set a reminder for that week, and treat the in-game Event Wish notice as the final word.

What is on the Genshin 7.2 weapon banner?

HoYoverse published this one on 28 October. The New Weapon Overview says, verbatim:

"The 'Epitome Invocation' Wish will become available after the Version 7.2 update on November 4. During this period, the new weapon 'Starsealed Edict' (Catalyst) will receive a huge drop-rate boost!"

Transcribed from the official card (Level 90, Refinement Rank 1):

AvailabilityEvent-exclusive, not in Wanderlust Invocation

Official Starsealed Edict weapon card: five-star catalyst, Base ATK 542, CRIT DMG 88.20 percent, passive Dawnstar's Flowing Trail

What the passive does. The passive always gives CRIT DMG +24%. Using an Elemental Skill grants "Crystal Compounding": Elemental Mastery +48 for 20 seconds. While that is active, each Elemental Reaction a nearby party member triggers adds a stack of "Law of Combustion", each worth another +24 EM, up to 3 stacks. The stacks end when Crystal Compounding ends or when the wielder uses their Skill again. Under Radiance: Stellar-Conduct, each stack also raises the CRIT DMG of the wielder's Stellar-Conduct reactions by 12%. The card says the effect "can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field."

The real numbers at R1:

  • CRIT DMG on any hit: 88.20% substat + 24% passive = 112.2% from the weapon alone.
  • Elemental Mastery at full stacks: 48 + 3 × 24 = 120 EM.
  • CRIT DMG on Stellar-Conduct reactions at full stacks: 112.2% + 3 × 12% = 148.2%.

One player reacting to the official overview on Reddit summed up why it landed well: "Refreshing to see 5 star weapons that aren't reliant entirely on a condition that it just so happens only one character can ever trigger." Most of the value is the flat CRIT DMG and an EM buff that any reaction team can trigger. The Stellar-Conduct bonus is extra on top.

Is it Mitya's signature? HoYoverse has not said so. On paper the fit is obvious: a five-star Catalyst with a Stellar-Conduct bonus, released alongside a five-star Electro Catalyst built around Stellar-Conduct. But the card does not name him, and neither did the Special Program. Treat it as the likely best-in-slot candidate, not a confirmed signature. Our Stellar-Conduct vs Stellar Swirl explainer covers how the reaction works.

What is the second weapon? Epitome Invocation normally features two five-stars. The 7.2 overview introduces only "the brand-new weapon", so the second promotional five-star and the boosted four-stars are not published yet. A rerun weapon in the second slot would follow the usual pattern, but nobody can name it from first-party sources today.

How does pity work across the 7.2 banners?

HoYoverse prints this clause on every Character Event Wish notice, including the live 7.1 ones:

"The wish guarantee count for 'Character Event Wish' and 'Character Event Wish-2' is shared, and is accumulated between both 'Character Event Wish' and 'Character Event Wish-2.'"

In practice:

  • Mitya and Furina share one counter. Pity or a guarantee carried out of Skirk and Escoffier carries into whichever Phase 1 banner you pull on.
  • Losing a 50/50 on Furina's banner still builds toward Mitya. One counter feeds both banners.
  • The Chronicled Wish and Epitome Invocation keep separate counts. Character-banner pity does not move into them.

The full rules, including soft pity and Capturing Radiance, are in our Genshin pity system explainer.

Should you pull in Phase 1 or save for Phase 2?

Three things decide it.

One: debut versus rerun. Mitya and Valeriy are new. Furina, Zibai, Linnea and all five Chronicled characters have run before and will again. If you are short on pity and want one new character, Phase 1 is the half you cannot easily get back.

Two: what you can claim before 3 November. The free five-star invitations from 7.1 end on 3 November at 14:59 server time, the same moment as the banners. The Choose 1 of 6 pool includes Varesa, so if she is your Chronicled target, check whether you can take her for free first. See our free 5-star selector guide.

Three: the guaranteed Primogems inside the window. The official 7.2 Event Calendar's event icons alone total 2,370 Primogems: The Grand Defense ×920, Stygian Onslaught ×450, Frames of Fierce Splendor ×420, Stress Block Smashing Project ×420, The Long Night ×120 and Trial of the Usurper ×40. The Archon Quest adds 560 on top. Some of that only unlocks late in the version, so do not budget all of it for Phase 1.

On the weapon banner, the advice another player gave in the same discussion holds for anyone on a thin budget: secure the character first, then decide on the weapon. Starsealed Edict is event-exclusive, but event weapons rerun. Pulling on Epitome Invocation while you still need to win a 50/50 on Mitya is the expensive order to do it in.

What has HoYoverse not published about 7.2 banners yet?

  • The full four-star lineups for either phase, apart from Valeriy.
  • The second five-star weapon and the boosted four-star weapons on Epitome Invocation.
  • The Phase 2 start date and hour, and the Chronicled Wish's exact duration.
  • The 7.2 Update Maintenance Preview. Recent previews have gone up on the Monday two days before launch, so expect it around 2 November.
  • Any statement tying Starsealed Edict to Mitya.

If a page lists any of these as settled, it is guessing. We will update this page when the in-game Event Wish notices go live.

FAQ

What are the Genshin 7.2 banners? Phase 1 has Mitya (new 5-star Electro Catalyst) on "Myriad Patterns Unfold" and a Furina rerun, with Valeriy (new 4-star Electro Sword) boosted. Phase 2 has Zibai and Linnea (both Geo) plus a Natlan Chronicled Wish with Varesa, Chasca, Xilonen, Mualani and Kinich.

When do the Genshin 7.2 banners start? After the Version 7.2 update on 4 November 2026, which HoYoverse confirmed in its Version 7.2 Events Overview. The current banners close earlier, on 3 November at 14:59 server time.

When is Genshin 7.2 Phase 2? No official date yet. In 7.1 the switch came 20 days after the update, which projects to about 24 to 25 November 2026 for 7.2. Confirm it with the in-game notice.

What is the Genshin 7.2 weapon banner? Epitome Invocation opens after the 4 November update with a boosted drop rate for Starsealed Edict, a new event-exclusive 5-star Catalyst with 542 Base ATK and 88.20% CRIT DMG. The second featured weapon has not been announced.

Is Starsealed Edict Mitya's signature weapon? HoYoverse has not said so. It is a Catalyst with a Stellar-Conduct bonus, and Mitya is a Stellar-Conduct Catalyst user, so it is the obvious candidate. The official card does not name him.

Do Mitya and Furina share pity? Yes. HoYoverse states the guarantee count for Character Event Wish and Character Event Wish-2 is shared. The Chronicled Wish and the weapon banner keep their own counts.

Is Valeriy a 5-star? No. HoYoverse's 23 October press release calls him "a 4-star Electro Sword wielder". He gets a boosted drop rate in Phase 1.
