Genshin livestream codes are the three Primogem codes HoYoverse has dropped during each of its last three Special Programs, and they die fast. The next drop is now official: the Version 7.2 "Hour of Ruin" Special Program airs on Friday 23 October 2026. This page tracks that stream, will list the 7.2 codes as soon as they are shown, and keeps a dated archive of every recent livestream code with the exact moment it stopped working.
Quick answer (checked 21 October 2026, 07:00 UTC): HoYoverse has announced the Version 7.2 Special Program for Friday 23 October 2026 at 08:00 AM UTC-4 (12:00 UTC) on its official Twitch and YouTube channels. There are 0 Genshin 7.2 livestream codes until that stream starts. If 7.2 follows the 7.0 Friday stream, the codes should expire around Monday 26 October 2026 at 04:00 UTC (midnight US Eastern), which is a projection, not an announcement. The 7.1 codes Rekviem, Vesna0923 and PrimaDonna are expired.
Article status: refreshed 21 October 2026, the morning HoYoverse posted the 7.2 Special Program Preview. Live version is 7.1, "A Rekviem for the Underworld". Anything marked "projected" below is our arithmetic from HoYoverse's own past notices.
Are there any Genshin 7.2 livestream codes yet?
Not yet. None have been officially announced as of this check, and HoYoverse says they drop during the broadcast. What changed today is the date. At 04:00 UTC on 21 October 2026 HoYoverse posted its "Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Special Program Preview" on the official HoYoLAB news feed, and the announcement banner names the version "7.2 Hour of Ruin".
| Version 7.2 code | Reward | Drop time | Expiry | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Not shown yet | Not announced | During the stream, from 23 Oct 2026, 12:00 UTC | Projected 26 Oct 2026, 04:00 UTC | Waiting for the Special Program |
We will add each string the moment it appears on the official stream or in a first-party HoYoverse post, with the exact drop time. If you see a "7.2 code" on social media before Friday's stream, it is a recycled 7.1 string, a fake, or a regular campaign code dressed up as a livestream code. We only list a livestream code from the official stream, a first-party HoYoverse post, or two genuinely independent outlets. Sites that copy each other count as one source.
For the regular, non-stream codes that are live this month, use our Genshin Impact codes page. This page only covers the Special Program drop.
When is the Genshin 7.2 livestream?
Friday 23 October 2026, 08:00 AM UTC-4, which is 12:00 UTC. That is now official. HoYoverse's Preview post reads:
"The special program for Genshin Impact's new version will premiere on the official Twitch and YouTube channels on 10/23/2026 at 08:00 AM (UTC-4)! This special program will feature juicy details about new game content and developments in Version 7.2. It will also "drop" some redemption codes and other goodies!" (HoYoverse, Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Special Program Preview, HoYoLAB, 21 October 2026)
Note the phrasing: "some redemption codes". The Preview does not promise a number, so "three codes" is a pattern, not a guarantee.
The timing fits the recent pattern exactly. The Preview went up two days before the stream, the same lead time as Luna VIII and 7.0, and the stream keeps the same 08:00 UTC-4 slot as the last three versions:
| Version | Preview posted | Special Program (UTC) | Version launch | Stream to launch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Luna VIII | 16 June 2026 | Thu 18 June 2026, 12:00 | 1 July 2026 | 13 days |
| 7.0 | 29 July 2026 | Fri 31 July 2026, 12:00 | 12 August 2026 | 12 days |
| 7.1 | 7 September 2026 | Sat 12 September 2026, 12:00 | 23 September 2026 | 11 days |
| 7.2 | 21 October 2026 | Fri 23 October 2026, 12:00 | Projected 4 November 2026 | 12 days |
The 4 November launch is still a projection. Version 7.1's own Update Details notice is set to expire at the turn of 3 to 4 November (4 November on the UTC+8 server clock), and the six-week cadence points to the same Wednesday. HoYoverse has confirmed the launch date on Special Program day before (the 7.1 Benefits Overview did on 12 September), and the exact maintenance time follows in its Update Maintenance Preview, which historically appears the Monday before launch. Our Genshin 7.2 release date guide walks through that math server by server.
What time does the 7.2 stream start in my time zone?
The official start is 08:00 AM UTC-4, which is 12:00 UTC on Friday 23 October. Europe is still on summer time that weekend (clocks change on 25 October), and Sydney is already on daylight time.
| Location | Local start, Friday 23 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Los Angeles | 5:00 AM PDT |
| New York | 8:00 AM EDT |
| UTC | 12:00 PM |
| London | 1:00 PM BST |
| Berlin and Paris | 2:00 PM CEST |
| Moscow | 3:00 PM MSK |
| New Delhi | 5:30 PM IST |
| Singapore | 8:00 PM SGT |
| Tokyo | 9:00 PM JST |
| Sydney | 11:00 PM AEDT |
The codes have not been shown at a fixed minute. For 7.0, HoYoverse's official recap on X posted the strings at 13:15 UTC, a little over an hour into the stream. Have the redemption page open from the start and stay to the end.
How long do Genshin livestream codes last?
Not 24 hours. That rule of thumb is out of date, and repeating it makes people panic or, worse, assume they have a day when they have three. We measured the last three streams from the official start time to the expiry reported by dated outlet coverage:
| Stream | Start (UTC) | Codes died (UTC) | Window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luna VIII | Thu 18 June, 12:00 | Mon 22 June, 04:00 | about 88 hours |
| 7.0 | Fri 31 July, 12:00 | Mon 3 August, 04:00 | about 64 hours |
| 7.1 | Sat 12 September, 12:00 | Tue 15 September, 04:00 | about 64 hours |
Two things stand out:
- Every cut-off landed at 04:00 UTC, which is midnight US Eastern time. Polygon gave the 7.1 deadline as "Sept. 15 at 12 a.m. EDT" and Sportskeeda as "September 15, 2026, at 12 AM (UTC-4)". The community wiki records the same date and notes that, since Version 5.3, Special Program codes get an extra 48 hours on top of the old 16-hour window.
- The window varies with the weekday. A Thursday stream got almost four days; Friday and Saturday streams got under three.
Projected 7.2 deadline: Monday 26 October 2026, 04:00 UTC. The 7.2 stream is on a Friday, like 7.0, whose codes died at 04:00 UTC on the following Monday. That is midnight between Sunday 25 and Monday 26 October in New York, 4:00 AM Monday in London (UK clocks are back on GMT by then) and 7:00 AM Monday in Moscow. It is an estimate: the 7.2 Preview does not state a code expiry, and one outlet, Eurogamer, printed a 7.1 deadline a full day later than the others. Redeem on stream day and the exact cut-off stops mattering.
Which Genshin livestream codes have expired?
All of them. These are listed so you can stop trying them, and so you can spot a recycled string when a page relabels it as new.
Version 7.1 "A Rekviem for the Underworld" (stream 12 September 2026, expired 15 September 2026, 04:00 UTC):
| Expired code | Former reward |
|---|---|
| Rekviem | 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore |
| Vesna0923 | 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wit |
| PrimaDonna | 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora |
Version 7.0 "Everwinter Without Mercy" (stream 31 July 2026, expired 3 August 2026, 04:00 UTC):
| Expired code | Former reward |
|---|---|
| Everwinter | 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore |
| OntoSnezhnaya | 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wit |
| Odette0812 | 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora |
Version Luna VIII "Sunny Summer Fontinalia" (stream 18 June 2026, expired 22 June 2026, 04:00 UTC):
| Expired code | Former reward |
|---|---|
| Marionette | 100 Primogems, 10 weapon enhancement ore (grade disputed) |
| TotheMoon | 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wit |
| TeaPartyTime | 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora |
Most trackers list Marionette's ore as Mystic Enhancement Ore and the community wiki lists Fine, so we mark the grade as disputed.
How many Primogems will the 7.2 livestream codes give?
HoYoverse has not said. The track record is very consistent, though: each of the last three streams dropped three codes worth 100 Primogems each, 300 Primogems per stream, which is just under two wishes (a wish costs 160). The second rewards also follow the same template every time: one code adds weapon enhancement ore, one adds 5 Hero's Wit, one adds 50,000 Mora.
Across the three streams in the archive above that is 900 Primogems, a bit over five and a half wishes, for nothing but showing up on time. If you are saving for a 7.2 banner, that is real value. Count it as likely, not guaranteed, until HoYoverse shows the codes on Friday. Our Primogem sources guide ranks every other repeatable source if you are building a pull budget.
What will the 7.2 Special Program reveal besides codes?
Officially, only "new game content and developments in Version 7.2". The one new first-party fact so far is the version name, "Hour of Ruin", printed on the announcement banner. Two upcoming Snezhnaya characters have first-party drip-marketing cards, both published on HoYoLAB on 29 September 2026: Mitya, whose card lists Stellar Linchpin: Electro, and Valeriy, whose card lists Vision: Electro. Neither card names a version, a rarity or a banner, and HoYoverse has not tied either one to 7.2 yet. The stream is where HoYoverse usually confirms the banner line-up, so treat any 7.2 banner list you see before Friday as a leak. Our Genshin 7.2 characters page separates what is official from what is not. Current wishes and their end times are on the banner schedule.
How do you redeem Genshin livestream codes fastest?
The official web page is fastest, because you never leave the stream.
- Before the stream, open the official HoYoverse Code Redemption page (genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift) and sign in.
- Select your server and confirm the nickname belongs to the right character.
- When a code appears on stream, paste it exactly, with no leading or trailing space. Copy rather than retype; a single wrong character fails.
- Select Redeem, then repeat for each code.
- Open the game and claim the rewards from in-game Mail.
Requirements: Adventure Rank 10 or higher, a created character, and a HoYoverse account linked in User Center for web redemption. You can also redeem in game through Settings, then Account, then Redeem Code, but Game8 notes that option is not available on iOS, so iPhone and iPad players should use the web page. Our step-by-step guide on how to redeem Genshin Impact codes covers PS5 and Xbox too.
Mail rewards do not last forever. HoYoverse's support centre says redeemed-code mail typically expires after 30 days and that expired mail is deleted even if unclaimed. Open the attachment the same day.
Why does a Genshin livestream code not work?
| Error or symptom | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Invalid code | Typo, or an extra space at the start or end. Copy it again. |
| Code expired | Past the deadline. Recent codes all died at 04:00 UTC on their cut-off day; check the archive above. |
| Already in use | You already redeemed it on this account. Check Mail. |
| Adventure Rank too low | Reach AR 10, then retry before the deadline. |
| Rewards missing | Wrong server or nickname selected on the web form. |
| "7.2 code" fails before Friday | It is not a 7.2 code. None are shown before the stream on 23 October. |
Never enter your HoYoverse password on a page reached through a reply, a direct message or a "code generator". Real livestream codes are typed into HoYoverse's own page and nowhere else.

FAQ
Are there Genshin 7.2 livestream codes yet? Not until the stream. HoYoverse announced the Version 7.2 Special Program on 21 October 2026 for Friday 23 October at 12:00 UTC, and the codes are shown during that broadcast. Any string labelled as a 7.2 code before then is fake or recycled.
When is the Genshin 7.2 livestream? Friday 23 October 2026 at 08:00 AM UTC-4, which is 12:00 UTC, 1:00 PM in London and 5:00 AM in Los Angeles, on the official Genshin Impact Twitch and YouTube channels.
When do the 7.2 livestream codes expire? The 7.2 Preview does not give an expiry. The 7.0 codes from a Friday stream died at 04:00 UTC the following Monday, so the projection for 7.2 is Monday 26 October 2026 at 04:00 UTC. Redeem them on stream day.
How long do Genshin livestream codes last? Recent codes lasted about 64 to 88 hours from the start of the stream, and every cut-off was 04:00 UTC (midnight US Eastern). The 7.1 codes died on 15 September 2026 at 04:00 UTC.
Do the 7.1 livestream codes still work? No. Rekviem, Vesna0923 and PrimaDonna expired on 15 September 2026. They cannot be redeemed now.
How many Primogems do livestream codes give? The last three streams each gave 300 Primogems across three codes, plus weapon enhancement ore, Hero's Wit and Mora. HoYoverse has not confirmed the 7.2 amount.
Can I redeem livestream codes on PlayStation or mobile? Yes. Use the official web page with your linked account, or the in-game Redeem Code option in Settings (Game8 notes it is not available on iOS). The rewards arrive by in-game Mail on whatever platform you play.
