Genshin Impact Daily Check-In Rewards: The Full 31-Slot Calendar and What a Month Actually Pays

Search "Genshin daily check-in" and you will be told the feature pays 100 Primogems. It does not. That 100 is a one-time welcome bonus for your very first check-in, and the pages repeating it as a monthly figure are off by nearly a factor of two.

Here is the reward ladder as HoYoverse's own award endpoint returned it on 3 October 2026, for the month index the server reported as October — all 31 slots, in order, with the arithmetic nobody publishes.

This article applies to Version 7.1, "A Rekviem for the Underworld", live since 23 September 2026 on Asia servers and 22 September 2026 on America.

The quick answer

  • The HoYoLAB Daily Check-In ladder has 31 slots and awards Primogems in only three of them — check-ins 4, 11 and 18.
  • That is 60 Primogems per calendar month, not 100 and not 90.
  • Full totals for a 31-day month: 60 Primogems, 59,000 Mora, 26 Adventurer's Experience, 16 Fine Enhancement Ore, 6 Hero's Wit and 4 food items. Only the Mora figure depends on month length.
  • Rewards are indexed by your cumulative check-in count, not by the date. 18 check-ins in a 31-day month collects every Primogem — you can miss up to 13 days.
  • 60 Primogems a month is 720 a year, about 4.5 Intertwined Fates. Check-in is a rounding error next to Daily Commissions, which pay 60 Primogems in a single day.
  • Your first ever check-in pays a separate one-time 100 Primogems and 10,000 Mora.
  • Running right now in 7.1: the Resplendent Starlight daily-login event (1–19 October 2026) for 10 Intertwined Fate, plus anniversary mail worth 1,600 Primogems that expires 30 days after delivery.

What is the Genshin Impact daily check-in, and where do you claim it?

Daily Check-In is not an in-game menu. It lives in HoYoverse's companion app and website, HoYoLAB, and the official in-game notice spells out the exact path: "Go to HoYoLAB > Tools > Genshin Impact > Check-in, and check in daily to obtain Primogems, Mora, Hero's Wit, and other in-game rewards." Rewards arrive in your in-game mail, not your inventory, and mail attachments expire — so claim them.

The notice HoYoverse published on 1 October 2026 lists the feature's duration as Permanent. It is not a limited event, and the 1 October publication date is a re-posting of a standing notice, not a launch date. You need a HoYoLAB account linked to the game account you want paid.

One disambiguation before the numbers, because the three things get merged constantly: Daily Check-In is the free HoYoLAB ladder below. Daily Commissions are the four in-game quests from the Adventurers' Guild. Blessing of the Welkin Moon is a paid store item. Only the first is free and claimed outside the game.

14Mora ×8,00030Mora ×5,000
15Adventurer's Experience ×531Mora ×5,000
16Fine Enhancement Ore ×5

Two details worth noticing. The Primogem slots look like a clean 7-day rhythm — 4, 11, 18 — and then the rhythm breaks: slot 25 is Hero's Wit, not a fourth Primogem. And the last three slots are plain Mora, so a 31-day month pays no more Primogems than a 28-day one.

This ladder is also old. The community wiki's archived screenshot of the same grid, uploaded in August 2021, matches the live October 2026 award list slot for slot, all 31 of them. HoYoverse has changed it before, though — an earlier capture archived in March 2021 put the Primogems on check-ins 7, 14 and 21 instead:

Archived March 2021 Genshin Impact HoYoLAB check-in calendar with Primogems on check-ins 7, 14 and 21

So the current arrangement has been stable for years, but it is reliable rather than guaranteed. The 31-slot grid above is the one live today.

How many Primogems does daily check-in actually give per month?

Sixty. Three slots at 20 Primogems each.

The month's complete haul, added up from the table:

ItemMonth total
Primogems60 (3 slots × 20)
Mora59,000 in a 31-day month (7 × 5,000 + 3 × 8,000) — 54,000 in a 30-day month, 44,000 in a 28-day February, because slots 29–31 are plain Mora
Adventurer's Experience26
Fine Enhancement Ore16
Hero's Wit6
Food (Sweet Madame, Fried Radish Balls, Fisherman's Toast, Almond Tofu)3 each

Scaled out, perfect attendance for a year is 720 Primogems. At 160 Primogems per Intertwined Fate that is 4.5 wishes a year — against a hard pity of 90 wishes on the Character Event banner. Check-in alone will not fund a 5-star; if you are planning around guarantees, the numbers that matter are in our Genshin pity system breakdown, not here.

The honest framing: check-in is worth doing because it costs fifteen seconds and the Mora and the 26 Adventurer's Experience are quietly the better half of the payout. The Primogems are not the point.

Can you still get every Primogem if you miss days?

Yes — and this is the single most useful thing about the system.

HoYoLAB publishes this in the check-in page's own Rules: "You can check in once each day. Accumulate certain amounts of check-ins in a month to claim the corresponding rewards," and "Rewards and check-in progress are refreshed on the 1st of each month at 00:00. This month's check-ins will not be counted toward the next month."

The ladder therefore advances by cumulative check-in count, not by calendar date. Miss 3 October and check in on 4 October, and you collect slot 1, not slot 2. Nothing is skipped; the ladder just steps forward once per check-in.

So reaching slot 18 — the last Primogem — takes 18 check-ins, whenever they happen. In a 31-day October that leaves 13 days of slack. In a 28-day February you get 28 slots and 10 days of slack, and 44,000 Mora instead of 59,000, since you never reach the three Mora slots at the end. You only lose Primogems if you finish the month with fewer than 18 check-ins.

There is also a Make-Up Check-In function for retroactively filling a missed day, and HoYoLAB publishes its terms on the check-in page too: you can make up a check-in only within the current month, once a day and a maximum of 3 times a month per HoYoverse Account. It automatically fills the first missed date — you cannot pick the day — and each one consumes a Check-In Make-Up Card, earned by completing missions. How many cards you personally hold sits behind the account login; the rules do not.

Two timing caveats. HoYoverse publishes the monthly boundary — progress refreshes on the 1st at 00:00 — but states no timezone for it, and none for the daily rollover either, so check when your own day turns over in the app rather than assuming it matches your in-game server reset. And the rewards land as mail that is valid for 30 days, so a month of unclaimed check-ins will start expiring on you.

What do you get for your first ever check-in?

A separate one-time bonus. The in-game notice is unambiguous: "You will receive 100 Primogems and 10,000 Mora for your first check-in!"

Genshin Impact HoYoLAB first check-in reward screen granting Primogem x100 and Mora x10000

Read it carefully, because this is where every inflated guide goes wrong. It is your first check-in ever, not the first check-in of each month, and not a daily payout. There is nothing in the notice that grants it again to a returning player. If a page tells you check-in pays 100 Primogems a month, it has misread this line.

Which Genshin login rewards are live right now in Version 7.1?

Two things are running alongside check-in in 7.1, and both have deadlines.

Resplendent Starlight — Daily Login Event. Runs 1 October 2026 at 04:00 to 19 October 2026 at 03:59 server time, Adventure Rank 5 and above. Rewards unlock by total login days inside the window:

Login daysReward
1Intertwined Fate ×1
2Mora ×80,000
3Intertwined Fate ×2
4Dust of Enlightenment ×1
5Intertwined Fate ×2
6Hero's Wit ×8
7Intertwined Fate ×5

Seven logins inside an 18-day window for 10 Intertwined Fate — more wish currency than four months of check-in Primogems combined, for a fraction of the effort.

Missive of Grace: A Thank-You Gift. The anniversary mail ran from 28 September 2026, Adventure Rank 2 and above, with four deliveries — 28, 29 and 30 September plus 1 October — each carrying Primogems ×400, for 1,600 Primogems total, alongside Fragile Resin ×2, a Sanctifying Elixir, and two Commemorative Gadgets — Conductor of the “Ya-ho” on 28 September and A Mini Trolley Problem on 1 October. Every mail is claimable until the event ends, but mail attachments expire 30 days after delivery, which puts the first envelope's deadline in late October. Open your mailbox.

For the rest of the version's free currency, including the event-by-event Primogem totals, see our Genshin 7.1 free Primogems tally and the 7.1 events calendar. Code drops are tracked separately in Genshin Impact codes for October 2026.

Daily check-in vs Daily Commissions: which one actually pays?

This is the comparison that reframes the whole feature.

Genshin Impact Adventurer Handbook commissions screen showing 10 Primogems per commission and a 20 Primogem bonus reward

Daily Commissions unlock at Adventure Rank 12 after the quest "Every Day a New Adventure". You get four per daily reset, each paying 10 Primogems at every Adventure Rank, and reporting back to the Adventurers' Guild adds a bonus of 20 Primogems plus 500 Adventure EXP and a Mora lump sum that scales from 5,575 at AR12–15 to 9,800 at AR36–40.

Four commissions plus the bonus is 60 Primogems per day.

Daily Check-In pays 60 Primogems per month.

Commissions are worth roughly thirty times as much Primogem income as check-in, and about 1,800 a month at full attendance. If you only have time for one habit, it is not the HoYoLAB tab. Do check-in anyway — it is free and it takes seconds — but budget your wishes off commissions, events and codes. The banner schedule for October 2026 is the right place to decide what you are saving for.

FAQ

How many Primogems do you get from Genshin daily check-in per month? 60. The 31-slot ladder awards Primogem ×20 on check-ins 4, 11 and 18 only, and nothing on the remaining 28 slots.

Does Genshin daily check-in give 100 Primogems? Only once, ever. The in-game notice grants 100 Primogems and 10,000 Mora "for your first check-in" — a one-time welcome bonus, not a monthly or daily amount.

Where do you claim the Genshin Impact daily check-in? In HoYoLAB, not the game. The official path is HoYoLAB, then Tools, then Genshin Impact, then Check-in. Rewards are delivered to your in-game mail.

What happens if you miss a day of check-in? You lose nothing from the ladder itself. HoYoLAB's Rules state you “accumulate certain amounts of check-ins in a month to claim the corresponding rewards”, so progress is counted by check-ins rather than by date. Missing a day shifts everything one step later. You only lose Primogems if you finish the month with fewer than 18 check-ins.

How many days can you miss and still get all the check-in Primogems? Up to 13 in a 31-day month. The last Primogem sits at slot 18, so 18 check-ins in October is enough.

Is there a make-up check-in in Genshin Impact? Yes. HoYoLAB's check-in page includes a Make-Up Check-In function, limited to the current month, once a day and a maximum of 3 times a month per HoYoverse Account. It fills the earliest missed date automatically and costs one Check-In Make-Up Card, which you earn from missions.

Is the Genshin daily check-in calendar the same every month? It has been for a long time. The live October 2026 award list is identical, all 31 slots, to the archived community-wiki capture from August 2021. HoYoverse changed the layout once before — an earlier 2021 version placed Primogems on slots 7, 14 and 21 — so it is stable rather than permanent.

Is daily check-in better than Daily Commissions? No, and not by a small margin. Four commissions plus the Adventurers' Guild report-back bonus pay 60 Primogems in one day; check-in pays 60 in a month.
