Title Update 1.73 landed on July 14, 2026 and rewrote GTA Online's heist economy. Cayo Perico was cut outright — the Pink Diamond fell from $1,300,000 to $910,000, and its drop chance from 10% to 2%. The Casino Heist, Doomsday and Cluckin' Bell weren't cut so much as restructured onto a weekly first-completion cadence: your first run of the week pays more than it used to, and every repeat run in the same week pays materially less — the Casino Heist's diamond score drops to $2,303,000 on repeats, Cluckin' Bell to $400,000.

The Nightclub wasn't touched. Not one line about Tony Prince, popularity, safe income or warehouse goods appears in the 1.73 patch notes — the only match for the word "nightclub" is a cosmetic bug fix about vehicles clipping inside the Mansion nightclub (gta.wiki 1.73 notes). That makes a fully-kitted club the most reliable money printer left in Los Santos in 2026 — and almost nobody runs it correctly.

TL;DR — A Nightclub earns from two separate streams. The safe pays up to GTA$50,000 per in-game day (48 real minutes) = GTA$62,500/hour, but only at 95–100% popularity, and it caps out at GTA$250,000 (about 4 real hours). The warehouse accrues goods from your other businesses with zero input: 5 technicians with the Equipment Upgrade produce roughly GTA$50,500/hour, and a completely full 360-crate warehouse sells for GTA$1,931,500 gross / GTA$1,831,500 net after Tony's cut. Entry cost is GTA$1,080,000 (Elysian Island) and a business-ready build lands near GTA$6.26M. Location has zero effect on income — buy the cheapest one. Short on start-up capital? Grab a GTA 5 money top-up and skip the grind.

What does a GTA Online Nightclub actually earn in 2026?

Two income streams run in parallel, and they are completely independent of each other.

Stream 1 — the office safe. Cash builds up in the safe in your nightclub office based purely on your club's popularity percentage. At 95–100% popularity that's GTA$50,000 per in-game day, and one in-game day is 48 real minutes — so GTA$62,500 per real hour. You must be in an active session for it to accrue, and the safe holds a maximum of GTA$250,000 before Tony starts pocketing the overflow, so it fills in five in-game days (about 4 real hours) and then stops. Collect it, and the clock restarts.

That $50,000 figure is itself worth knowing about: the safe used to pay a maximum of $10,000 per in-game day. Rockstar raised it fivefold with the PS5/Xbox Series XS release and brought it to PC in Title Update 1.59 on April 26, 2022. Guides still quoting $10,000 are four years stale.

Stream 2 — the warehouse. This is the part Rockstar built the whole property around. Technicians in your basement warehouse quietly siphon product out of your other businesses — bunker, MC labs, cargo warehouses — and stack it as crates you can sell in one enormous delivery. From the official announcement:

"From the mainframe in this sprawling underground warehouse your tech team can accrue high demand contraband from every other business you own – and all without you having to lift a finger."

— Rockstar Games, "GTA Online: After Hours Out Now", Rockstar Newswire, July 24, 2018

Crucially, the warehouse does not consume your source businesses' stock. It generates its own on top. That's why it's the single best passive earner in the game and why it belongs at the top of any ranked passive income list.

Which nightclub should you buy, and does location change income?

Map of Los Santos showing all ten GTA Online nightclub locations marked with property blips

Ten venues, ranging from GTA$1,080,000 to GTA$1,700,000 (prices per the GTA Wiki nightclub property list):

LocationPrice
Elysian IslandGTA$1,080,000
LSIAGTA$1,135,000
Vespucci CanalsGTA$1,320,000
Cypress FlatsGTA$1,370,000
Mission RowGTA$1,440,000
La MesaGTA$1,500,000
StrawberryGTA$1,525,000
Del PerroGTA$1,645,000
Downtown VinewoodGTA$1,670,000
West VinewoodGTA$1,700,000

No nightclub location earns more than another. There is no per-location income modifier anywhere in the property's popularity table or warehouse accrual rates — a $1.08M Elysian Island club pays exactly what a $1.7M West Vinewood club pays. The only real difference is travel time to sale drop-offs and to your other properties.

Most experienced players still skip the absolute cheapest option: Elysian Island and LSIA sit in the far south-west corner, so every sale route becomes a long haul. Paying ~$400k extra for a central club like Del Perro, La Mesa or Strawberry to shave minutes off every delivery for the next thousand hours is defensible. Paying $620k for the West Vinewood postcode is not.

What do the nightclub upgrades cost, and which are mandatory?

Three business upgrades matter, and one of them is worth more than the property itself (GTA Wiki upgrade table):

UpgradePriceWhat it does
Equipment UpgradeGTA$1,425,000Doubles crate accrual speed
Security UpgradeGTA$695,000Halves how often raid/help events interrupt you
Staff UpgradeGTA$475,000Reduces daily popularity loss

Buy the Equipment Upgrade first — before storage floors, before technicians, before anything cosmetic. It doubles your warehouse output forever (roughly $25,250/hour becomes $50,500/hour) and pays for itself inside two full-warehouse cycles.

Storage floors (cumulative totals to reach each tier): 2nd floor GTA$395,000 · 3rd GTA$809,750 · 4th GTA$1,245,250 · all five floors GTA$1,702,550. Five floors takes you from 72 crates of capacity to 360.

Technicians: the first (Yohan) comes free with setup. The other four cost GTA$141,000 / GTA$184,500 / GTA$240,500 / GTA$312,000GTA$878,000 for all four. You can only ever run five technicians, and each one handles a single goods type, so five of the seven categories accrue at any moment.

Everything else — garage floors (up to GTA$441,350), Dry Ice (GTA$345,000), light rigs (up to GTA$295,000), dancers, club styles, DJ bookings (GTA$100,000 for a new DJ) — is optional flex.

Business-ready total on the cheapest club: $1,080,000 + $1,425,000 + $695,000 + $475,000 + $1,702,550 + $878,000 = GTA$6,255,550. Running cost is tiny: a fully-kitted club is charged roughly GTA$400–540 per in-game day in daily fees (GTA$250 base plus small per-upgrade, per-technician, per-floor and mechanic charges) — rounding error against $50,000 of safe income. Guides still quoting a flat GTA$1,750/day are using a pre-2022 number; The Contract update in December 2021 slashed property fees across the board (GTABase daily-fee breakdown).

There is no Custom Auto Shop-style workshop for personal cars in a Nightclub — the garage floors are pure storage. The Specialized Workshop (the one that customises weaponised vehicles and the Oppressor Mk II) lives inside the Terrorbyte, which gets its own dedicated basement level at B5 — not the B1 delivery garage.

How does nightclub popularity work, and why is 90% the magic number?

Popularity decays continuously — community testing puts it at roughly 5% per in-game day (the Staff Upgrade slows this, though Rockstar has never published the reduced rate). The important thing isn't the decay speed. It's that the payout table is a step function with brutal cliffs, not a smooth slope (full table on the GTA Wiki):

PopularityGTA$ per in-game dayPopularityGTA$ per in-game day
100%$50,00050%$9,500
95%$50,00045%$9,000
90%$45,00040%$8,500
85%$25,000 ← −44%35%$8,000
80%$24,00030%$2,500 ← −69%
75%$23,00025%$2,200
70%$22,00020%$2,000
65%$21,00015%$1,800
60%$20,00010%$1,600
55%$10,000 ← −50%5% / 0%$1,500

Read that again: a five-point slip from 90% to 85% costs you 44% of your income. 60% → 55% halves it. 35% → 30% wipes out 69%. Popularity management isn't about topping up — it's about never crossing three specific lines.

How to push it back up:

  • Promote Club missions — called in from the office PC (Tony/Lazlow) or by phone from English Dave. Each completed promotion restores +25% popularity, takes 15–20 minutes at worst, and pays GTA$1,000–5,000 plus RP on top. These were only +10% originally; the buff came with The Diamond Casino & Resort update.
  • Marcel's security jobs — added in The Criminal Enterprises. Ejecting a troublemaker is a 30-second cutscene you never leave the building for; a VIP delivery is a timed drive. There's a 48-minute (one in-game day) cooldown between them, and it runs independently of the Promote Club timer.
  • Swapping your resident DJ — your first-ever DJ change refills the bar completely; later swaps back to a previously booked DJ give +10% for GTA$10,000.

Not all of Marcel's jobs are equal. Eject Troublemaker never makes you leave the building. Deliver VIP is the one everybody groans at: ten minutes, a Nightclub Limo, a passed-out patron and a "VIP spooked" meter that fills if you break 70 mph or bump anything — with a randomised drop-off that occasionally sends you out to Sandy Shores (GTA Wiki — Nightclub Management).

All of this works in invite-only sessions since The Criminal Enterprises. You do not need a public lobby to promote, accrue or sell.

Which technicians should you assign for maximum GTA$/hour?

The GTA Online nightclub Warehouse Technicians management screen listing all seven goods types and technician slots

Seven goods types exist; you have five technicians. Assign by value per hour, not by crate price — crate values and accrual rates below are from the GTA Wiki warehouse management data:

GoodsSource businessValue/crateMax crates (5 floors)Full value$/hour (upgraded)
South American ImportsMC Cocaine Lockup$27,00010$270,000$13,500
Pharmaceutical ResearchMC Meth Lab$11,47520$229,500$11,475
Cash CreationMC Counterfeit Cash$4,72540$189,000$9,450

Organic ProduceMC Weed Farm$2,02580$162,000$6,075
Printing and CopyingMC Document Forgery$1,35060$81,000$5,400

The optimal five: South American Imports, Pharmaceutical Research, Cash Creation, Cargo and Shipments, Sporting Goods — a combined GTA$50,496 per hour with the Equipment Upgrade, about GTA$25,248 without it. Leave Organic Produce and Printing and Copying unstaffed; they're the two worst rates in the building.

The +35% value buff that arrived alongside the safe increase (PS5/Series XS launch, then PC via TU 1.59) applied only to the five MC-sourced categories — South American Imports, Pharmaceutical Research, Cash Creation, Organic Produce and Printing and Copying. Cargo and Shipments and Sporting Goods were left unchanged. If a guide tells you South American Imports is worth $20,000 a crate, it's quoting 2021.

You do need to own the source business for a technician to accrue that type — a Cocaine Lockup for South American Imports, a Bunker for Sporting Goods, and so on. The businesses can sit completely idle and unsupplied; the nightclub tech still generates crates.

How much is a full nightclub warehouse worth?

A completely full 360-crate warehouse sells for GTA$1,931,500 gross. Tony Prince takes a 10% money-laundering fee capped at GTA$100,000, so you net GTA$1,831,500 — an effective cut of 5.2%, not 10%.

Two things that catch people out:

  • The Equipment Upgrade does not increase sale value. It doubles accrual speed only. A full warehouse is worth $1,931,500 with or without it.
  • A full sale requires the Pounder Custom. Delivery vehicle is gated by crate count — Speedo Custom for 1–89, Mule Custom for 90–179, Pounder Custom for 180+. Try to "Sell All" 360 crates without the Pounder and the sale won't launch.

Time to fill is the real constraint. Because you have five technicians for seven categories, topping out all 360 crates means reassigning techs mid-cycle — roughly 67 real hours with the Equipment Upgrade, and about 134 hours without it. Most players don't wait: they sell at 200–300 crates on a schedule that fits their play sessions.

Lobby bonus: you earn +2.5% per non-organization player in the session, to a maximum of +50% at 20 players, applied after Tony's cut. Selling a full warehouse in a busy public lobby is worth up to ~$915,000 extra — which is exactly why griefers camp nightclub sale routes, and why our solo anti-griefer guide exists.

Special Orders are a trap dressed as a bonus. Three offers appear; the first carries only a +5% premium, the other two +10%. Against Tony's fee that makes the first offer a net −5.5% loss versus just selling normally, and the other two a net −1% — not worth routing your stock around.

Nightclub vs Cayo Perico, Salvage Yard and Kortz — what actually pays best?

MethodRealistic GTA$ (basis noted)EffortHit by 1.73?
Kortz Center Heist (first weekly run)~$1,588,000–$1,809,000 result-screen takeActive, once per weekNew content
Salvage Yard~$250k–500k/hourActive, 3 robberies/week capNo

Kortz Center, repeat runs same week~$651,000–$684,500 result-screen take minus a $100,000 planning feeActiveDeliberately throttled

Be honest about what this table says. A first-of-the-week Kortz run or a clean Salvage Yard week beats the Nightclub on raw throughput. What the Nightclub wins on — by a mile — is GTA$ per minute of actual effort. You are not driving anywhere. You are not doing setups. You collect a safe and press "sell" every couple of days.

It also wins on stability. Rockstar has now nerfed Cayo Perico twice, moved the Casino Heist onto a first-of-the-week cadence, and structured Kortz so repeat runs in the same week actively lose value. The Nightclub's numbers haven't moved since 2022. For a comparison of every property against each other, see our best businesses breakdown.

What nightclub myths should you ignore?

  • "The safe pays $10,000 a day and holds $70,000." It pays $50,000 at 95%+ popularity and holds $250,000, and has since April 2022.
  • "A full warehouse is worth $1,690,000." Pre-buff number. It's $1,931,500.
  • "The Equipment Upgrade makes your goods worth more." It doubles speed. Value is unchanged.
  • "Tony takes a flat 10%." Capped at $100,000 — on a full sale that's 5.2%.
  • "Expensive clubs earn more." They don't. Elysian Island pays what West Vinewood pays.
  • "You need a public lobby to accrue or promote." False since The Criminal Enterprises.
  • "The Nightclub got nerfed in 2026." It didn't. Check the 1.73 notes yourself.

Is the nightclub worth it if you're starting from zero?

Honestly assessed: the Nightclub is a second-stage purchase, not a first one. It multiplies businesses you already own. If you have no Bunker, no MC properties and no CEO warehouse, five technicians have almost nothing to steal — you'd be buying a $6.26M safe that pays $62,500 an hour for four hours and calling it a business.

The correct order is: Bunker and a couple of MC labs first, then the Nightclub with the Equipment Upgrade, then storage floors as cash allows. Total build-out across all of it runs well past GTA$15M — which for most players is either several hundred hours of grinding or a top-up.

FAQ

How much does a nightclub make per hour in GTA Online? Up to GTA$62,500/hour from the safe at 95–100% popularity (capped at GTA$250,000 total, roughly 4 hours), plus about GTA$50,500/hour from five technicians with the Equipment Upgrade. Combined, that's around GTA$113,000/hour while the safe is still filling.

Which nightclub is the best to buy? Income is identical everywhere, so buy on convenience. Del Perro (GTA$1,645,000), La Mesa (GTA$1,500,000) and Strawberry (GTA$1,525,000) are central and keep sale routes short. If you're purely minimising spend, Elysian Island at GTA$1,080,000 earns exactly the same.

How do I keep nightclub popularity at 100%? Run a Promote Club mission for +25% whenever the bar slips, take Marcel's security jobs when they appear (48-minute cooldown), and swap your resident DJ when you need a top-up. Never let it fall below 90% — the drop to 85% costs you 44% of your income immediately.

Was the nightclub nerfed in Title Update 1.73? No. The July 14, 2026 update cut Cayo Perico's target values and put the Casino Heist, Doomsday and Cluckin' Bell on a reduced-repeat weekly cadence, but the patch notes contain no nightclub economy change at all. It's the only major earner left completely untouched.

Do I need other businesses for the nightclub warehouse to work? Yes. Each technician pulls from a specific source property — a Cocaine Lockup for South American Imports, a Bunker for Sporting Goods, a Meth Lab for Pharmaceutical Research, and so on. The source businesses can be completely idle and unsupplied; the nightclub still generates its own crates on top.

How long does a full nightclub warehouse take to fill? About 67 real hours with the Equipment Upgrade and tech reassignment, or roughly 134 hours without it. Most players sell at 200–300 crates instead of waiting for all 360.
