The MK Mobile Challenge schedule changes every week, and the game only shows you what's live. This page lists the current Challenge, the next three, what each difficulty pays, and the fighters to get ready before each one opens.
Quick answer (checked November 1, 2026, Hotfix 7.4.1): The live Challenge is Klassic Noob Saibot, which ends November 4. Bone Shaper Shinnok runs November 4 to 11, Unstoppable Jason Voorhees November 11 to 18, and Shokan Warrior Kintaro November 18 to 25. Each one has three difficulties and pays a Gold fighter, never a Diamond. A full clear of all three is 266 fights and gives three copies of the fighter, its equipment and, since Update 7.1, a Kameo.

What is the current MK Mobile Challenge schedule?
Here's the schedule from the fan tracker MK Mobile Base, and the other trackers we checked listed the same four dates on November 1. We couldn't find a calendar published by WB, so treat future weeks as likely, not promised. The timer on the Challenge screen is the final word.
| Challenge fighter | Starts | Ends | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Klassic Noob Saibot | Oct 28, 2026 | Nov 4, 2026 | Live now |
| Bone Shaper Shinnok | Nov 4, 2026 | Nov 11, 2026 | Next |
| Unstoppable Jason Voorhees | Nov 11, 2026 | Nov 18, 2026 | Upcoming |
| Shokan Warrior Kintaro | Nov 18, 2026 | Nov 25, 2026 | Upcoming |
All four windows run Wednesday to Wednesday. Fan tracker data puts the November switches at 17:00 UTC, which is noon US Eastern and already early Thursday in much of Asia. That's worth knowing because older guides, including the fan wiki, still say Challenges usually start on Thursday. If you plan around Thursday this month, you'll lose a day at the end.
Challenges can also overlap. A June 2026 player screen shows Kombat Cup Johnny Cage and Kombat Cup Sonya Blade live side by side, so check the Main Menu each week.
If a new Challenge doesn't appear, WB's Advanced Guide suggests opening a game mode from the Main Menu and going back. If that fails, check for an update, close the app and clear your cache.
How do Normal, Hard and Elder Challenges work?
Every Challenge has five towers per difficulty, and the difficulties unlock in order. WB says clearing Normal unlocks Hard, and that clearing Normal and Hard opens the Elder portal. The wiki adds that towers can be played in any order, though fights inside a tower can't.
Elder also has an account level gate. Update 7.4 closed a bypass: "The player is no longer able to bypass the Account Level Restrictions for the Elder Challenge difficulty through the Elder Challenge Tutorial PopUp menu." WB doesn't publish the level, so check that the Elder portal opens for you before you plan around it.
The reward table below uses the wiki's Challenge Mode page. An August 2026 Dark Raiden Hard screen from u/Flautyboy matched its Hard numbers: 32,000 Koins, 46 Souls, a Silver Pack and 65 Souls. The Kameo and Krystals in the Elder row come from WB's notes and 2026 player screens.
| Difficulty | Fights per tower | Total fights | Completion reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 12, 12, 12, 12, 15 | 63 | Fighter copy |
| Hard | 12, 12, 12, 12, 15 | 63 | Fighter copy + its equipment |
| Elder | 25, 25, 30, 30, 30 | 140 | Fighter copy + Kameo + 5 Dragon Krystals |
| Tower | Normal | Hard | Elder |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10,000 Koins | 16,000 Koins | Equipment Pack |
| 2 | 20,000 Koins | 32,000 Koins | 40 Souls |
| 3 | 35 Souls | 46 Souls | Gold Pack |
| 4 | Silver Pack | Silver Pack | 60 Souls |
| 5 | 50 Souls | 65 Souls | 100 Souls |
Added up, those tower rewards come to 396 Souls a week for a full clear, before battle drops. The player guide the wiki links counts 30 extra Souls on Normal and 40 on Hard, which makes 466, while the wiki's own summary says 130, 171 and 555 per difficulty. Both are old and they disagree, so treat 396 as the floor.
What do you actually get for clearing Elder?
The Kameo is the reason Elder matters more than it used to. Update 7.1 changed the reward so that it "now includes a Kameo of the featured character." Player screens from September 2026 show a Klassic Shang Tsung clear and a Kosplay Jacqui clear paying the same four items: the Kameo, 100 Souls, 5 Dragon Krystals and the fighter. That 100 Souls looks like the Tower 5 reward from the table above.
One limit: u/xXDeatherXx says the Kameo comes as "only one copy, when you beat the third round, the Elder difficulty one."
The fighter copies add up too. u/TheAmateurDunker's F2P guide calls Challenge Golds "generally a tier above non-Challenge Gold characters." Our tier list can tell you whether a fighter deserves the fusions. Klassic Noob Saibot, for example, sits at B on MK Mobile Base's Gold ranking, but his team passive gives Klassic fighters 30% more unblockable damage.
Challenges won't get you a Diamond. Those come from Event Towers, the Krypt and the Kombat Pass, among other routes, so see our Krypt guide and Tower of Horror and Nightmare Tower guide if that's the goal.
Which fighters do you need for the next Challenges?
Requirements usually decide whether you finish, so sort these out early. This table comes from the wiki's requirements list. It leaves out the usual Bronze and Silver towers, and it warns that requirements "aren't guaranteed and may change in future repeats."
| Challenge | Normal and Hard | Elder |
|---|---|---|
| Bone Shaper Shinnok | Spec Ops team; Johnny Cage | Gold or Diamond; team of Johnny Cage or Scorpion; Martial Artist team |
| Unstoppable Jason Voorhees | Outworld team; Baraka | Gold or Diamond; team of Baraka or Scorpion; Martial Artist team |
| Shokan Warrior Kintaro | Martial Artist team; Sub-Zero | Gold or Diamond; team of Sub-Zero or Jax Briggs; Spec Ops team |
On Elder, "team of X or Y" means all three fighters must be those characters, and a class name means all three must be that class. "Gold or Diamond" rules out Bronze and Silver.
The wiki has no entry for Klassic Noob Saibot, so read his requirements on the tower cards in game.
One player says repeats keep the same rules. Asked if teammates stay the same each cycle, u/Dependent-Shift2152 answered "they stay the same yes," then named Johnny Cage and D'Vorah for towers 2 and 5 of Goro's Elder, with Outworld for towers 3 and 4. That matches the wiki's Goro entry. It isn't certain, though. A returning player on Kenshi's 2025 run wrote that the Tower 5 requirement "used to be Sub-Zero."
Three things stand out for November:
- Scorpion covers two Elders. Shinnok's Elder takes a team of only Johnny Cage or Scorpion, and Jason's takes a team of only Baraka or Scorpion. Three Gold or Diamond Scorpion cards fit both, and one strong Scorpion can carry the weaker two.
- Martial Artist also repeats. Shinnok and Jason both list a Martial Artist tower on Elder, so gear that team once.
- Read "Gold" on the card. The Dark Raiden Hard screen asked for "Gold Shinnok," not any Shinnok. A lower-tier version of a required fighter may not count.

How do you beat Elder Challenges?
Elder is a timer problem as much as a damage problem. The wiki says all Elder battles are timed, the limit drops every five fights, and the last three fights of the last tower allow only 60 seconds. Its benchmark is a team that can handle Fusion VIII level 50 Gold or Diamond fighters. On Kenshi's Elder, u/_No_Regerts wrote that "1min is not nearly enough to fight off diamond teams."
What worked in that thread and others:
- Build one carry for the character towers. Kenshi's Elder wants a team of only Takeda or Kano, and players leaned on Takeda. u/ShadowRaidenX said "a lvl 50 f10 takeda with decent gear got me through it without much issue."
- Stack damage on your best fighter. With two weak Kanos on the team, u/_No_Regerts loaded Takeda with critical damage gear to do all the work.
- Add damage over time for short timers. u/Worthless_Boy suggested loading up on damage-over-time gear and adding a damage-over-time Kameo.
- Use the helpers if you get them. WB says Elder for a new character includes special kombatants, but they "will only join you for the first 10 matches of the first ladder." You can't count on them for a returning fighter.
- Play to your strongest class. After a first Elder clear on a Martial Artist-heavy tower set, u/Callme-Sachin13 credited Flaming Fists Liu Kang and Inferno Scorpion for "most of the heavy lifting."
Is it worth clearing every difficulty each week?
No, not on every account. Do Normal and Hard whenever you can, then decide on Elder by the requirements.
- New accounts: Take what you can reach. u/TheAmateurDunker points out that without the final required fighter "you likely won't be able to complete the Challenge unless you get lucky, but still are able to collect a lot of Koins and Souls." The early towers ask for Bronze and Silver fighters, so level one of each.
- Mid accounts: Clear Hard for the equipment, then take the Elder towers you can win. u/Nervous-Fudge-1423 settled for towers 1, 3 and 4 on Kenshi. That keeps the Equipment Pack, Gold Pack and 60 Souls while skipping the two towers that needed high-fusion teammates.
- Veterans: Finish everything for the Kameo, Souls and Krystals. These clears feed your weekly income, covered in our Souls guide and Dragon Krystals guide.
Don't lose sleep over the last tower if you don't need the fighter. u/_No_Regerts said they might "just settle for the achievable" next time rather than "lose mind and hair over 5 dk's and few souls." If you want the fighter copy and Kameo, though, you need all five towers.
You can also pay to skip battles. The wiki says it costs Koins or Souls and calls the price high, and Update 7.1 fixed a "Complete a Hard Challenge" trial that broke after a skipped final, so the option is real. Save skips for a single fight you can't win, and only when it completes a tower you need.
Start early in the window, too. Elder alone is 140 fights, and those end-of-tower timers are hard to rush on the final night. Energy slows you down as well. WB's Intermediate Guide says each fight consumes energy from the fighter's Kard, and an empty fighter has to wait for it to restore or get a Souls refresh. Character towers leave few fighters to rotate, so don't save them for last.
What are the most common Challenge mistakes?
- Assuming a Thursday start. This month's windows flip on Wednesday, so a Thursday plan costs you time.
- Fusing the fighter before checking Elder. Look at the required teammates first. One player asked exactly that before fusing Goro.
- Expecting a Diamond. The main reward is a Gold fighter on every difficulty.
- Treating Tower 5 as the only prize. Earlier towers pay on their own, so partial clears still count.
- Trusting old requirement lists blindly. The wiki warns they can change, so compare them with the tower cards when the Challenge opens.
Out of time before a Challenge closes? timesaver.gg can clear Normal, Normal and Hard, or all three difficulties on your own Android or iOS profile during a session our team runs on it, from $3.29 for Normal to $13.49 through Elder, and we check your Elder access and required fighters first. It's an independent service, not affiliated with or approved by WB, and WB's Terms of Use forbid account sharing, so Warner may suspend or terminate an account. Read that before you order.
FAQ
What is the next MK Mobile Challenge? After Klassic Noob Saibot ends on November 4, 2026, fan trackers list Bone Shaper Shinnok from November 4 to 11, then Unstoppable Jason Voorhees and Shokan Warrior Kintaro.
