Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek is the WoW Midnight Season 2 feat of strength for defeating Ula’tek, the final boss of The Venomous Abyss, on Heroic difficulty before Season 2 ends. A boost at timesaver.gg costs $116.10 for the achievement kill on its own, or $224.10 with the full 8/8 Heroic clear attached. Self-play is the default, so you are on your own character when the achievement fires, and Heroic Ula’tek drops 315 item level gear on top of the feat itself.
What is Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek?
Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek is awarded for one thing — a Heroic Ula’tek kill while Season 2 is the current season. It is a feat of strength, not a normal achievement: when the season rolls over it becomes permanently unobtainable, and the icon on your profile is the only proof left that you cleared the tier while it mattered. Normal-difficulty kills award nothing here, and a Mythic kill awards Cutting Edge: Ula’tek instead.
How the achievement is earned
You need exactly 1 boss kill: Ula’tek on Heroic, in the Tomb of Ula’tek wing of The Venomous Abyss. The other seven bosses are not required for the achievement, and there is no attunement for Normal, Heroic or Mythic. All 8 bosses are open from week 1 of Season 2, so the Tomb of Ula’tek wing is reachable immediately — the gating is difficulty, not time. Ula’tek himself is a venom-wave fight built on egg control and a safe space that keeps shrinking, which is where most pug groups fall apart.

- $116.10 — Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek only. The Heroic Ula’tek kill that awards the achievement, plus whatever Ula’tek drops for you on the roll.
- $224.10 — Ahead of the Curve + full 8/8 Heroic clear. Every boss on the way to Ula’tek, so you bank a whole Heroic lockout of Hero track loot with the achievement.

Loot and item level on Heroic
Heroic Venomous Abyss drops item level 305 to 315, and Ula’tek sits at the top of that table at 315. The Heroic curve runs 305 early, 308 and 311 mid-raid, then 315 from The Coiled Altar and Ula’tek. Your Great Vault pays one difficulty up from Heroic, so a Heroic clear feeds 318 ilvl vault picks the following reset. Heroic raid is also a Hero Mistcrest source — 20 crests per upgrade rank, capped at 100 of each type per week — and Ula’tek drops the Tier 36 omni-token as well as Font of Venomous Rage, with Hex Lord’s Dooming Idol coming off The Coiled Altar next door. If the set is what you are actually after, take the Tier 36 set boost; for the loot without the achievement framing, take the Heroic Venomous Abyss run.
Season 2 timing and the deadline
Season 2 opened on 18 August 2026 in North America and 19 August 2026 in Europe, and Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek can only be earned before Season 2 ends. Blizzard has not published a season end date, so the honest advice is simple: the achievement is live now and it will close without much warning. Weekly resets land Tuesday 15:00 UTC on US and OCE realms and Wednesday 04:00 UTC on EU realms, which is when your Heroic lockout clears and a new run can be scheduled.
Self-play, piloted or remote
Three completion methods are offered, and self-play is the default at no extra charge. Self-play means you log in, join the raid and play your own character through the Ula’tek kill — nobody else touches your account. Piloted costs the same and has one of our raiders play the character for you. Self-play remote adds 30%: you keep control through remote-desktop software while a raider talks the kill through live.
Requirements
You need a level 90 character and a free Heroic Venomous Abyss lockout for the week. There is no attunement and no minimum item level gate on Heroic, but if you choose self-play, bring your best gear and consumables — Ula’tek is the hardest Heroic encounter in the tier. Orders run on NA, EU and OCE realms, and your reset day follows your region.
How long it takes
The achievement takes 1 Heroic lockout — a single scheduled run that ends on Ula’tek. The $116.10 package is the shortest path because the group goes straight for the Tomb of Ula’tek wing; the $224.10 package clears all 8 bosses first and therefore runs longer. Express (+20%) puts your order at the front of the queue and Super Express (+40%) assigns our fastest team for completion up to three times faster.
