Ula’tek is the final boss of The Venomous Abyss and the title character of WoW Midnight patch 12.1, “Curse of Ula’tek”. A kill at timesaver.gg costs $39.60 on Normal, $116.10 on Heroic, $188.09 for Heroic Ula’tek plus The Coiled Altar, and $1,439.10 on Mythic, with up to 15 kills on one order. The Heroic kill is what awards Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek and the Mythic kill is what awards Cutting Edge: Ula’tek, both only while Season 2 is running. His loot table carries the Tier 36 omni-token and Font of Venomous Rage.

Loot and item level from Ula’tek
Ula’tek is a last-boss slot, so he drops the highest item level in his difficulty: 289 on LFR, 302 on Normal, 315 on Heroic and 344 on Mythic. That 344 is the season maximum and only Mythic Ula’tek and Mythic Coiled Altar pay it — the general Myth track caps at 334. The Great Vault pays one difficulty up, so a Heroic Ula’tek kill feeds a 318 vault slot and a Mythic kill feeds 344 from these last two bosses.
Crests follow the same ladder: a Heroic kill pays Hero Mistcrest and a Mythic kill pays Myth Mistcrest, at 20 crests per upgrade rank with a 100 per week cap per type and a 3:1 conversion upward.
Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge
Heroic awards Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek and Mythic awards Cutting Edge: Ula’tek. Both are seasonal — they can only be earned while WoW Midnight Season 2 is live, and they are permanently unobtainable after it ends. A Normal kill awards neither and is bought purely for the loot. If you want the achievement bundled with a clear rather than a single kill, use Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge.
Font of Venomous Rage and the Tier 36 omni-token
Ula’tek drops Font of Venomous Rage (item 270168), an on-use nuke trinket on a 4-minute cooldown that scales with Versatility, and it is the number one trinket for Havoc Demon Hunter, Retribution Paladin, Devourer Demon Hunter and Guardian Druid. He is also the omni-token boss for the Tier 36 class sets, meaning his token can be turned in for any missing set slot instead of a fixed one. The Coiled Altar next door drops Hex Lord’s Dooming Idol (item 270169), the Shadow Priest counterpart, which is why the two are sold together at $188.09. Primeval Skyfriend, the Mythic mount
Primeval Skyfriend drops from Mythic Ula’tek only, and 3 copies drop per kill. That drop rate is why repeat Mythic kills are ordered — a single Mythic booking is $1,439.10 and the counter goes to 15. Neither the Normal nor the Heroic kill can drop it. The raid’s other mount, Crimson Venomfang, comes from the meta-achievement instead and is on Glory of the Venomous Raider.
Self-play, piloted or remote
Three completion methods, two of them at the same price. Self-play is the default — you stay on your own character for the kill and nobody logs into your account. Piloted costs the same and has our raider play your character through the pull. Self-play Remote adds 30%: you keep control through remote-desktop software while our raider guides the kill live.
Requirements
A level 90 character is the only hard requirement for Normal, Heroic and Mythic — none of the three has an attunement. Your character must not already be saved to Ula’tek in the current weekly lockout. Season 2 started 18 August 2026 in North America and 19 August 2026 in Europe, and all 8 Venomous Abyss bosses were open from week one on Normal, Heroic and Mythic, so Ula’tek is killable immediately. LFR is the exception: it is wing-gated and its entry item level is 273.
How many kills you can order and how lockouts work
Up to 15 kills on a single order, priced per kill. A character is saved to a boss once per weekly lockout, so multiple kills are scheduled across consecutive resets or run on alternate characters if you prefer. Resets are Tuesday 15:00 UTC on US and OCE realms and Wednesday 04:00 UTC on EU realms. Every kill is played manually by real raiders; no bots and no automation are used.
Where Ula’tek sits in the raid
Ula’tek is the eighth and final boss, in the Tomb of Ula’tek wing alongside The Coiled Altar. The Venomous Abyss branches into four wings rather than one linear order: The Soulcoilers (Nek’zali the Soulcoiler, The Twin Fangs), The Essence of Venom (Entombed Sentinels, Vashnik the Malignant), The Serpent Warren (The Lost Explorers, Sszorak) and The Tomb of Ula’tek. His fight is built on venom waves, eggs and a safe space that keeps shrinking. For the whole instance rather than the last boss, take Venomous Abyss Normal, Venomous Abyss Heroic or Venomous Abyss Mythic; for any other single encounter, use Venomous Abyss Single Bosses.
