The Writhing Brood is the mount that drops from Zul'jan, the boss at the end of Altar of Fangs — the new dungeon added with WoW Midnight Season 2 — on Mythic difficulty. A farm at timesaver.gg starts at $45 for a single Mythic run and scales down per run as you add more, up to 30 runs on one order. It is a chance drop, so this is a repeat-run product: you buy attempts, and the attempts are played by hand.
What's included
Every order buys a set number of Mythic Altar of Fangs runs, each one taken to a Zul'jan kill.
- 1 to 30 Mythic runs of Altar of Fangs, from $45 per run;
- A Zul'jan kill on every run — the only source of The Writhing Brood;
- All loot, gold and Mistcrests that drop for your character on the way;
- The dungeon achievements that tick as you clear it;
- Self-play by default, piloted at the same price, remote self-play for 30 % more;
- Express and Super Express for 20 % or 40 % more.
How the Writhing Brood farm runs
The farm is a loop of four steps, repeated for as many runs as you order.
- You pick a run count from 1 to 30 and a difficulty — Mythic 0 or a Mythic+ key.
- We schedule a group and clear Altar of Fangs to the last boss.
- Zul'jan is killed and the mount is checked; if it drops, it is yours and the order is complete.
- If it does not drop, the next run in your order is queued, until the run count is used up.
Because the drop is a chance and not a guarantee, we do not advertise a drop rate or a “guaranteed mount” price. What you buy is a fixed number of clean, hand-played Mythic clears — and if you want more attempts mid-order, they can be added.
Loot and item level
The mount aside, what a run pays depends on whether you take Mythic 0 or a key.
Mythic 0 and low keys pay Champion Mistcrests, the currency for the 292–308 upgrade band. Keys at +4 to +8 pay Hero Mistcrests, and +9 and above pay Myth Mistcrests. On gear, a +10 drops 311 at the end of the run and puts a 318 row in the Great Vault; both the gear and the crest reward cap at +10, so higher keys are not worth paying for unless you also want the rating. Timing a +10 in Altar of Fangs also unlocks that dungeon's teleport, which makes future farm runs faster for you.
Options explained
Three things change the price: the run count, the difficulty and the completion method.
- Number of runs — 1 to 30, priced per run, cheaper per run as the count rises;
- Difficulty — Mythic 0 for the cheapest attempts, or a Mythic+ key when you want gear and crests alongside the mount attempts;
- Completion method — self-play, piloted or remote;
- Speed — Standard, Express (+20 %) or Super Express (+40 %).
Self-play, piloted or remote
All three methods farm the same runs; only who holds the keyboard changes.
Self-play is the default and the one most mount farmers pick, because being in the group means you see the kill and the loot yourself. Piloted costs the same and is the practical choice on a 20 or 30-run order, since that is hours of repeated clears. Self-play remote adds 30 % and keeps everything on your own client through remote-desktop software.
Requirements
You need a level 90 character with access to Mythic dungeons on retail.
Altar of Fangs sits in the Season 2 dungeon pool, so nothing needs unlocking beyond reaching the dungeon itself. Mythic 0 is locked to one clear per character per weekly reset, while Mythic+ keys are unlimited — which is why long farms run inside keys. Weekly reset is Tuesday 15:00 UTC in US and OCE and Wednesday 04:00 UTC in EU. PC only.
How long it takes
A single Mythic Altar of Fangs run is one dungeon clear, so a small order of 1–5 runs is normally finished the same day the team is assigned.
Larger orders are paced: Mythic 0 attempts are capped at one per reset per character, so a 30-run farm on Mythic 0 stretches across many weeks, while the same 30 runs inside Mythic+ keys can be done in a handful of sessions. If your goal is the mount and nothing else, key runs are the faster path. Express and Super Express get a team on your order sooner.
