Lower City reputation from $9.89 to Friendly, $120.59 to Exalted. The quartermaster is Nakodu, in the Lower City market of Shattrath at about [62, 68].
The Auchenai Key is why most people grind this. Nakodu sells it for 9 gold at Honored and it opens Heroic mode for the Auchindoun dungeons. Every member of the party needs their own.
The correction that matters: Lower City does not sell the Shadow Labyrinth Key. That key drops from Talon King Ikiss in Sethekk Halls and has no reputation requirement whatsoever. This is the single most-repeated error on boosting and guide pages, and it means people buy a reputation grind for a key that was never gated behind it.
How the rep is earned:
- the Auchindoun dungeons — Auchenai Crypts, Sethekk Halls and Shadow Labyrinth, roughly 2,000+ rep per Heroic run;
- Arakkoa Feathers, thirty at a time to Nakodu for 250 rep — and like the other turn-ins in Outland, it stops at Honored;
- about 34 quests across Terokkar and Shattrath, worth roughly 8,000 rep in total.
Mana-Tombs does not give Lower City rep. That wing is The Consortium — a different faction with a different vendor, and running it will not move this bar.
Rewards worth the grind: the Lower City Prayerbook at Revered, still one of the better healer trinkets of the tier, and at Exalted the Shapeshifter's Signet, Gavel of Unearthed Secrets and the tabard. Honored also carries the Cloak of Arcane Evasion pattern for tailors.
