One boss, 25 players, no attunement — and there never was one. $68.39. Anyone selling you a "Magtheridon attunement" is selling you nothing; the raid has been open since the day it existed.
The fight is four Hellfire Channelers who have to go down in sync, then Magtheridon himself, with the Manticron Cubes that punish a raid which cannot count. It is the shortest 25-man in the game and the one most likely to fail on coordination rather than gear.
What drops:
- the Tier 4 chest token — Chestguard of the Fallen Champion, Defender or Hero, depending on your class;
- Eye of Magtheridon, the caster trinket that is the actual reason most people still run this;
- Karaborian Talisman, Glaive of the Pit, Cloak of the Pit Stalker and Aegis of the Vindicator;
- Magtheridon's Head, a quest item.
Where the rest of Tier 4 lives: head and hands in Karazhan, shoulders and legs in Gruul's Lair. This raid is the chest, and it is a single kill, which makes it the cheapest tier slot in the game.
