AION 2 Insufficient Gameplay Record: Why Market Listing Is Restricted (Nov 2026)

AION 2 Market listing dialog showing the red error Listing certain items for sale is restricted due to insufficient gameplay record

You paid for Membership, you tried to list a stack of Odyle, and a red line appeared: "Listing certain items for sale is restricted due to insufficient gameplay record." Players with 60 hours and players with 300 hours have both reported it, so "play more" clearly isn't the whole story. This guide covers what the message means, what NC has confirmed, what it has refused to say, and what's worth trying. Checked 1 November 2026 against NC's notices through the 27/28 October patch.

Quick answer: This error is a Market restriction, not a ban. NC added it in the 13/14 October patch to stop some accounts listing gathering materials, "based on gameplay history". NC has not published the criteria, and player reports show support won't lift it by hand. Remove any VPN, stop relisting materials you bought, sell what still lists, use your materials yourself, and file one support ticket. Some players were cleared by the 20/21 October patch and others are still restricted.

What does "insufficient gameplay record" mean in AION 2?

It means the Market refused to let this account list this item. Your account, Membership and character all still work.

NC's wording in the 13/14 October patch notes is one line:

"A system will be added to restrict the listing of gathering materials on the Market based on gameplay history." — AION 2 Team, patch notes, 13 October (PDT) / 14 October (CEST) 2026

Players started quoting the error on r/Aion2 within a day of that patch. The typical report: Odyle and ore are refused, while potions and dungeon drops still sell. That matches NC's "gathering materials" wording, though NC has never published a list of affected items.

Three problems get mixed up here, and they have different causes:

Why am I restricted if I play normally?

Nobody outside NC knows the exact rule. NC's support replies, as players have posted them, say so directly: "we are unable to disclose the specific criteria, detection methods". So treat every "you need X hours" claim you read as a guess, including anything that sounds official.

The reports below come from r/Aion2 threads between 15 and 31 October. They are player claims and we can't verify them, but they show why playtime alone doesn't explain it:

Reported playtime or gearReported activityResult
About 60 hoursMap cleared, bought Membership, tried to sell gathered matsRestricted
100 hours, 120k gear scoreTranscendence stage 3, little gatheringRestricted
140 hours, 2,200 gear scoreRegular endgame playRestricted
130 hours, 2,700 gear scoreSays all content completedRestricted since first sale attempt
300 hours, 2,850 gear scoreSays barely any gatheringRestricted for about a week

Three patterns come up again and again in those threads. They are community theories, not NC's rules:

  • Buying Membership, then selling a pile of materials straight away. One commenter put it bluntly: level to 45, harvest, subscribe and list everything is what a bot does.
  • Reselling what you bought. Several players suspect flipping items for profit trips it. One says a friend bought fish for Cooking, tried to sell the leftovers and got the same message.
  • Large, sudden sales. One player says a 50M Kina painting sale got them flagged and the restriction cleared within a day. Another reports two weeks of restriction on about 30M Kina in total sales.

AION 2 Market Settlement Details screen listing Odyle and Pure Odyle sales with a total settlement of 6,156,901 Kina A restricted player's Settlement Details: 25 listings and about 6.16M Kina, mostly ordinary sales. They posted it asking what they had done wrong. Screenshot via r/Aion2.

That player wasn't a whale. Their top-of-list sales were 50-stacks of Odyle at under 200K Kina each, so small sale totals clearly aren't a guarantee either.

Is this the Trust Status System?

NC's patch notes never connect the two, but support replies do. In a reply posted on 25 October, a player quotes support saying: "The restriction on your account comes from the Trust Status System." A support reply shared in a 31 October thread says the same thing: "Your restrictions correlate with the Trust Status System."

The Trust Status System Notice went up on 30 September, on the Rules board instead of the main news feed, which is why many players have never seen it. It says the system exists "to help prevent bots, fraudulent purchases, scams, and other forms of abuse", and that an account's status can limit "features such as the Market and Exchange".

Official AION 2 Trust Status System Notice from NC listing suspicious activity, suspicious software, RMT, botting, unsupported region and VPN use NC's Trust Status System Notice, dated 30 September 2026. Source: aion2.plaync.com.

NC lists six reasons trusted status can be changed or revoked, and it says the list is not exhaustive:

  • Suspicious account activity
  • Use of suspicious software
  • Engaging in RMT (real-money trading)
  • Botting
  • Playing from an unsupported region
  • Use of a VPN

The same notice gives the only official route back:

"If an account is determined to have lost its trusted status despite none of the above circumstances, the account may be subject to re-evaluation. If, upon review, the account is determined to be in good standing, trusted status may be reinstated." — AION 2 Trust Status System Notice, 30 September 2026

Support's replies also say a restriction is not proof of wrongdoing: "these restrictions do not necessarily mean that you've violated any game policies or received a disciplinary sanction, as they may also be applied as a preventive security measure." So being flagged doesn't mean you've been accused of botting, and a ban isn't implied.

Did NC fix the insufficient gameplay record error?

Partly. The 20/21 October patch notes say:

"The system will be improved to allow some previously restricted players to trade normally, while trading restrictions will remain in place for others."

The author of one of the biggest threads says they were unrestricted after that maintenance, while other players kept reporting new restrictions. The complaints are still live: the 31 October thread above is the latest. The 27/28 October patch didn't touch the listing rule, but it did cap gathering at 1,000 a day per server and set a minimum level of 45, per our patch notes breakdown. That looks aimed at the same bot problem from the other end, though NC hasn't said so.

The side effect is visible on the Market. Players report Radiant Odyle at around 1M Kina on some servers, with one commenter calling prices "quadruple" the pre-update level. These are server-specific reports, so check your own Market's 28-day history before relying on them.

How do I remove the Market restriction in AION 2?

There is no confirmed fix, and anyone promising one is guessing. These are the steps worth taking, in order, with the evidence behind each:

  • Check your Membership first. Confirm it's active on this server. It works per server, and a Founder's Pack Membership has to be activated before it counts.
  • Turn off any VPN. NC names VPN use and unsupported regions in its notice. One player in Vietnam suspects that's their cause. NC hasn't said whether ping-reducing tools count, so if you use one and you're restricted, try without it.
  • Remove anything that could be called suspicious software. NC gives no list, and third-party DPS meters have already been reported in ban threads. If you use a tool that hooks into the client, stop.
  • Stop relisting what you bought. It's unproven, but it costs little and it's the most common theory among restricted players.
  • Keep playing normally. Trust status is, per NC, "reviewed on a regular basis". No published interval exists, and reported restrictions range from one day to over two weeks.
  • File one support ticket at help.plaync.com. Ask for the re-evaluation the notice describes, and include your server, character, the exact error, the date it began and a screenshot. Expect a templated reply. One player quotes support as saying "We are unable to whitelist an account or lift a restriction manually."
  • Send it once. NC's Operation Policy lists "repeatedly submitting identical inquiries" under False Reports, with a 3-day then 7-day sanction, so spamming tickets could turn a Market limit into a real penalty.

What can I do while I'm restricted?

You lose one income stream, but the rest of your account still earns.

  • Sell what still lists. Players report potions, dungeon drops and gear going through normally. Try a single low-value item before building a plan around it.
  • Use your materials. Refused Odyle still crafts. Our crafting guide covers what's worth making, and that saves you buying the same mats at inflated prices. Crafted output may also list, but check that with one item first.
  • Shift to Kina sources that skip the Market. Expedition clears and other activities still pay Kina without a listing, though bound Kina can't be spent on the Market. The Kina farming guide ranks them.
  • Don't expect an alt to dodge it. Support says Trust Status is evaluated per account, so a second character on the same account is unlikely to help, though NC hasn't spelled this out.

Stay away from the "fixes" circulating in comments. One rumour says spending $50 to $100 removes the restriction. No one in those threads has shown evidence for it and NC has said nothing of the kind. Getting Kina or Quna from outside the game is worse: NC's warning on illicit currency promises consequences "up to and including the termination of access to the game".

FAQ

Am I banned if I see "insufficient gameplay record"? No. It's a Market listing restriction. Banned or locked accounts can't log in normally, which is a separate issue.

How many hours do I need to remove the restriction? NC hasn't published a number and players at 300 hours report it, so no hour count is known to clear it.

Does Membership remove it? No. Membership opens the Market, but this restriction applies on top of it, and many of the affected players are paying members. See how the two systems fit together in our trading guide.

Which items are affected? NC says "gathering materials" without a list. Players most often report Odyle and ore, and one report involves fish bought from the Market.

How long does the restriction last? NC gives no duration. Player reports range from about a day to more than two weeks, and some players still restricted after the 20/21 October change say they've had it since 14 October.

Will NC compensate lost Membership time? NC has announced no compensation for this, and the 31 October thread accuses support of refusing both a review and compensation. Don't count on it.

The bottom line

If you've got this error, you're dealing with an anti-bot filter NC won't document, and NC has said the restriction stays in place for some players. Clear the things you control, send one ticket that asks for a re-evaluation, and move your income to what still sells. We'll update this page if NC publishes criteria or another patch changes the rule.
