Quick answer: Delta Force ranked is split by mode. Operations uses a Ranked Match ladder that runs from Bronze to Delta Force Pinnacle. Warfare uses a Grade Match ladder from Private to Marshal, and the points you earn there are called Merit. Both ladders have seven tiers and 25 steps. There is no separate ranked queue: you tick Ranked on before you deploy. When a season ends, Team Jade drops your rank by a fixed amount using an official reset table. Season Reorientation ends on November 9, 2026, so the next reset lands with Season Aurora on November 10.
Key takeaways
- Two ladders, 25 steps each. Operations goes Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Black Hawk, then Delta Force Pinnacle. Warfare goes Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Colonel, General, then Marshal.
- Detonation has its own ranked ladder. The October 15 patch changed how ranked points work "for Legend and higher Ranked tiers" in Detonation.
- It's a soft reset, not a wipe. Bronze, Silver and the Private ranks keep their place. Everyone above them drops. A Delta Force Pinnacle player restarts at Diamond I, and a Marshal restarts at Lieutenant IV.
- Ranked closes before the patch. At the last two season changes, ranked went off-season at 00:30 UTC, 90 minutes before the 02:00 UTC update.
- Double-score windows are the cheapest climb. Team Jade has run a 4-day double-score event (Home Stretch or Season Sprint) at the end of every recent season. A Weekend Merit Boost doubles Merit on your first three Warfare Grade Matches.
How does ranked work in Delta Force?
Delta Force doesn't have a separate ranked playlist. You turn ranked on in the lobby, then queue the same Operations maps or Warfare modes as everyone else, and your result moves your rank up or down. Team Jade's official notes give each mode a different name:
| Mode | Official name | What it tracks | Top rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operations (extraction) | Ranked Match | Rank points from your raid | Delta Force Pinnacle |
| Warfare (64-player) | Grade Match | Merit | Marshal |
| Detonation (5v5) | Ranked | Ranked points, win-weighted at Legend and up | Not published |
There's one thing that confuses new players. Ticking Ranked doesn't put you in a harder lobby. In a December 2024 developer Q&A, Team Jade explained that Warfare's ranked option was never a separate pool:
"I can assure you that the matchmaking in 'Ranked Mode' does not take player scores into account." — Team Jade, Ask Shadow Anything Vol. 6 (December 24, 2024)
That answer is about Warfare's 64-player queue, and it's almost two years old. Team Jade has never said how Operations matchmaking works. What it has said is that, from October 15, 2026, Detonation will match Legend and higher players against "more evenly matched opponents."
What are all the ranks in Delta Force?
Team Jade has never published a full rank chart on its website. The full ladder is in the Grade Reset Rules at the bottom of the April 21, 2025 season notice, which lists every division. Divisions count down: Gold IV is the lowest Gold division and Gold I is the highest.
| Tier | Operations Ranked Match | Warfare Grade Match |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bronze III, II, I | Private III, II, I |
| 2 | Silver III, II, I | Corporal III, II, I |
| 3 | Gold IV, III, II, I | Sergeant IV, III, II, I |
| 4 | Platinum IV, III, II, I | Lieutenant IV, III, II, I |
| 5 | Diamond V, IV, III, II, I | Colonel V, IV, III, II, I |
| 6 | Black Hawk V, IV, III, II, I | General V, IV, III, II, I |
| 7 | Delta Force Pinnacle | Marshal |
The season leaderboards show the top 100 players. Operations is ranked by Rank, Extraction Value and Operator Kills. Warfare is ranked by Merit, Operator Kills, Capture Point Contribution and Healing Contribution.
How much Merit does each Warfare rank need?
Team Jade doesn't publish Merit thresholds. The most complete public list is GameRant's launch-era breakdown from January 2025: Corporal III at 450, Sergeant IV at 900, Lieutenant IV at 1,700, Colonel V at 2,500, General V at 3,750 and Marshal at 5,000 Merit. Treat these as a guide, not live values, and check your Grade Match screen in game for the current numbers.
How do you rank up in Operations?
In Operations, your ranked result follows the same things the leaderboard tracks: what you extract and who you kill. Kills on AI and on enemy operators both count, but the big gains come from getting out with valuable loot. If you die with a full bag, the run doesn't count for much.
Three things help most:
- Pick the right difficulty. Players report that once they reach a certain rank, the Easy queue shows an "unable to earn ranked points" message. That leaves Normal and Hard. Our Operations difficulty guide explains what changes between them.
- Extract more often. A modest bag you get out with is worth more than a full bag you lose. Leave once you've found your main loot, before the late-raid third-party fights start.
- Queue where people are playing. In r/DeltaForceGlobal this week, players stuck in long queues were told to switch region or play at peak hours. One player suggested Southeast Asia servers in both threads, saying they fill faster. Expect higher ping if you do.
Here's the biggest complaint about Operations ranked right now. In a thread posted on October 21, a Platinum player wrote:
"When you are platinum and play normals, you will always face Black Hawk and Pinnacle players." — r/DeltaForceGlobal player, "Normal ranked is unfair" (October 21, 2026)
Replies agreed, and two blamed a shrinking player base on NA servers, where mostly veteran players are left. Team Jade hasn't confirmed this. But it matches the developer's line that ranked isn't a separate pool. For a mid-rank player, the lobby you get depends on the difficulty, the region and the time of day, not on your badge.
How do you rank up in Warfare?
In Warfare, Merit is driven mainly by your score per minute, and you don't need to win to earn it. Kills count, but so does anything that helps your team: capturing points, reviving, resupplying, healing and building fortifications. That's why Support players often top the scoreboard without leading in kills. The higher your rank, the more score you need to keep gaining Merit, and a weak match can cost you Merit.
Ways to climb faster:
- Play the objective. Points earned on or near a capture point add up faster than kills on the edge of the map.
- Use your Merit cards. Event rewards have included Season Merit Boost Cards, Season 2x Merit Cards and Season Merit Protection Cards. Use the boost cards in matches where you expect a high score. Save the protection cards for when you play tired or on an unfamiliar map.
- Play the Weekend Merit Boost. On these weekends your first three Warfare Grade Matches give double Merit. The boost has run on most Reorientation weekends, most recently October 17–18 (official notes, October 15). Check Team Jade's weekly event post on Thursday to confirm the next one.
- Pick a strong weapon. Our best Warfare weapons and loadouts guide covers the current Reorientation picks.
How does Detonation ranked work after the October 15 patch?
Detonation, the 5v5 bomb mode added for the second anniversary, has its own ranked ladder. Team Jade hasn't published the full list of Detonation tiers. The only official detail is in the October 15, 2026 balance patch:
"For Legend and higher Ranked tiers, wins will now carry more weight than individual match performance when determining Ranked Point gains and losses." — Team Jade, Polaris Patrol and balance update notes (October 15, 2026)
The same patch added stricter matchmaking at Legend and above, and warned: "Matchmaking times may be longer." At the top of Detonation, your win rate now matters more than your K/D. Our Detonation best weapons after the October balance update covers the guns that patch changed.
Does your rank reset every season?
Yes, but it's a soft reset. Nobody goes back to the bottom. The official Grade Reset Rules move each division down to a fixed lower rank. Team Jade printed this table in January 2025 and again in April 2025, and hasn't reprinted it since. Here's where each rank restarts:
| Operations: end of season | Restarts at | Warfare: end of season | Restarts at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze III to Silver I | Same rank | Private III to Private I | Same rank |
| Gold IV | Silver I | Corporal III | Private I |
| Gold III, Gold II | Gold IV | Corporal II, Corporal I | Corporal III |
| Gold I, Platinum IV | Gold III | Sergeant IV to Sergeant II | Corporal II |
| Platinum III, Platinum II | Gold II | Sergeant I to Lieutenant III | Corporal I |
| Platinum I | Gold I | Lieutenant II to Colonel V | Sergeant IV |
| Diamond V, Diamond IV | Platinum IV | Colonel IV to Colonel II | Sergeant III |
| Diamond III, Diamond II | Platinum III | Colonel I to General IV | Sergeant II |
| Diamond I | Platinum II | General III to General I | Sergeant I |
| Black Hawk V | Platinum I | Marshal | Lieutenant IV |
| Black Hawk IV to I | Diamond V to Diamond II | ||
| Delta Force Pinnacle | Diamond I |
The Warfare reset is much harsher. A General I falls three whole tiers to Sergeant I. The Operations reset drops top players only one or two tiers. Team Jade hasn't reprinted the table since April 2025, so check the reset notice in game when Season Aurora launches.
The reset only affects your rank. No stash wipe has been announced, and past season changes kept players' gear and Tekniq Alloys. Season missions and the Season Pass reset separately.
When does ranked close before Season Aurora?
Team Jade hasn't posted the Aurora schedule yet. The last two season changes, Meltdown on June 30 and Reorientation on September 8, both followed the same three steps:
| Time on update day (UTC) | What happened |
|---|---|
| 00:30 | Operations and Warfare ranked matches go off-season and close |
| 01:59 | Operations matchmaking closes, Market and Auction House disabled |
| 02:00 | New season goes live on PC, mobile and console |
Season Aurora starts November 10, so if Team Jade follows the same schedule, ranked will close at about 00:30 UTC on November 10. That's 7:30 PM ET on November 9. Play your last ranked games before then.
When is the Home Stretch double-score event?
Every recent season has ended with a double-score event. The Home Stretch ran on September 4–7, 2026 (official notes, August 27) and June 26–29, 2026 (official notes, June 25). In April, a "Season Sprint" ran on April 17–20. Team Jade described Home Stretch like this:
"You'll earn double score in both Operations Ranked Match and Warfare Grade Match during this event." — Team Jade, end-of-season notes (August 27, 2026)
Each one ran for four days, and the last two ended the day before the new season started. If Reorientation follows the same pattern, expect a Home Stretch around November 6–9. That's our estimate, not an announcement, and we'll update this page when Team Jade confirms it. If you're close to the next tier, those four days are the cheapest time to climb.
Can you pay someone to rank you up?
Don't. Ranked boosting and playing on someone else's account are exactly what Team Jade's security team goes after. It publishes penalties every week, and it has said it detects masked real locations and abnormal system environments, which is what a stranger playing from another country looks like. Penalties go up to permanent bans, plus IP bans for real-money trading. Our ban wave explainer covers what Team Jade has announced. The only safe way to climb is to play the games yourself.
FAQ
What is the highest rank in Delta Force? In Operations it's Delta Force Pinnacle, which sits above Black Hawk I and has no divisions. In Warfare it's Marshal, above General I. Detonation has its own ladder. Team Jade has named a "Legend" tier and higher tiers above it, but hasn't published the full list.
Is Delta Force ranked a separate queue? No. You turn on ranked in the lobby and play the normal Operations maps or Warfare modes. Team Jade's December 2024 Q&A said Warfare's ranked matchmaking "does not take player scores into account." That's why a Platinum player can end up in a Normal lobby full of Black Hawk and Pinnacle players.
Can you rank up on Easy in Operations? Only at the bottom of the ladder. Players report that above a certain rank the Easy queue shows "unable to earn ranked points," so you'll need Normal or Hard to keep climbing. Team Jade hasn't published the cutoff.
Do you lose your rank at the end of the season? You lose part of it. The official reset table moves you down to a fixed rank instead of back to the start. Pinnacle goes to Diamond I, Black Hawk V to Platinum I and Marshal to Lieutenant IV. Bronze, Silver and Private don't drop at all.
When does Reorientation ranked end? The Reorientation Season Pass ends on November 9, 2026, and Season Aurora starts on November 10. At the last two season changes, ranked closed at 00:30 UTC on update day, so plan your last ranked games for November 9.
How do you get Merit fast in Warfare? Play the objective, play Support if you're struggling to get kills, and use Merit boost cards in your best matches. The Weekend Merit Boost doubles Merit on your first three Grade Matches. Save your hardest push for the end-of-season double-score event.
