Rush is the one Ultimate Team mode in FC 27 where your rewards depend on what four strangers do with their squad picks. That is why r/fut spent this week arguing about it — one player posting that they pick whoever they want, half the thread telling them they are the reason nobody hits the weekly tier.
Both sides are half right, and almost nobody in that thread could state the actual numbers. So here they are.
Quick answer (TLDR): Rush Points in FC 27 come from Rush Bonuses (the optional Block challenges you pick during the 90-second squad-building phase) plus playing and winning matches — not from goals alone. They feed one weekly objective group, Weekly Rush Points, with five tiers: 2,500 → 10,000 → 20,000 → 25,000 → 35,000, paying out six pack rewards running from a 2x 75+ Gold Players Pack up to a 2x 84+ Gold Players Pack. Every reward in that group is untradeable, so Rush is a fodder mode, not a coin mode — its output is SBC material, not Transfer Market profit. A separate permanent Rush Milestone group adds three 1 of 2 78+ Gold Player Picks, a Coin Boost and three packs. EA has never published a Rush Points rate for FC 27 — no points-per-match, no points-per-Block figure exists on any ea.com page, so treat any specific per-match number you see as community estimate. Leaving matches early is punished with a matchmaking delay of 15 minutes to one hour. Verdict: worth it if you are short on untradeable fodder, poor value if you are grinding coins.
Current FC 27 phase: fully released (worldwide launch 25 September 2026; PC unlocked 24 September at 23:00 UTC) and in Season 1 — Ones to Watch, which EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes dates 17 September 2026 to 22 October 2026. Season 2 begins 22 October. The first FUT Champions Finals weekend runs 2–5 October, which is exactly why Rush objectives are the quiet pick-up content this week.

Where is Rush in FC 27?
Rush is not one mode. It is four different things sharing a name, and only one of them pays Rush Points.
| Where | What it is | Pays Rush Points? |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Team | Co-operative small-sided matches where each player controls one Player Item from their club | Yes |
| Kick Off | Custom 5v5 match type, local or vs AI | No |
| The Grounds — Stadium Rush | Matchmade drop-in; EA lists Stadium Drop In as "inclusive of Stadium Rush, Rush Live Tournaments, and 11v11 Drop In" | No (Grounds progression instead) |
| The Grounds — in-world Rush | Dirt-pitch small-sided match inside the open world, 3-minute matches | No (Grounds progression instead) |
EA's own mode explainer defines the Ultimate Team version in a single line, and the wording matters:
"Rush, where you can choose a Player Item in a co-operative small-sided competition."
— EA SPORTS, Which EA SPORTS FC 27 Mode Is Right For You?
"Choose a Player Item" is the whole mechanic. You are not bringing a squad — you are bringing one card, and the four picks on your team are what the game scores for bonuses.

A second, separate Rush now lives inside The Grounds, EA's new social hub, where its Launch Update confirms "League and Playoff matches and Rush return alongside new ways for you and your Clubmates to compete." That version earns Grounds progression, not FUT rewards — we broke the whole hub down in our FC 27 The Grounds guide. Do not grind it expecting Ultimate Team packs.
How do you actually earn Rush Points in FC 27?
Three sources, in order of how much they matter:
- Blocks (the Rush Bonuses). During the squad-building phase you and your teammates have 90 seconds to pick Player Items (timing and penalty figures throughout this guide are from FIFAUTeam's FC 27 Rush breakdown, not from EA). Alongside the Event's eligibility requirements, the game offers optional Block challenges — extra conditions like a specific league, nation, club or rarity. Meeting them awards additional points or bonuses on top of the base match payout. Blocks vary by Event.
- Playing matches. Every completed Rush match contributes points.
- Winning matches. Wins pay more than losses.
The in-game objective text is blunt about the mechanism, and it is the clearest official-adjacent statement available:
"Complete Rush Bonuses alongside your teammates to earn Rush Points and pack rewards! All rewards are untradeable."
— Weekly Rush Points objective description, FC 27 (as listed by community objective trackers FUT.GG and FUTGenie)
Two details decide how fast you climb:
- Rush Events restrict who you can pick. Eligibility can be set by rarity, attributes, league, nation, club or other origin-based requirements, so the pool rotates. EA confirms FC 27's launch campaign Destined for Glory "will also feature two Rush Events, with a themed Flash Rush Event scheduled in the second week of the campaign."
- Duplicates are blocked. Two players on the same team cannot select the same Player Item, so the fifth person into the lobby is picking from what's left.
What EA has not published
This is the part every other Rush page glosses over: there is no official Rush Points rate. EA's FC 27 pages do not state points per match, points per win, or points per Block, and EA's FC 27 help index carried no Rush article at all when we checked it on 2 October 2026. The same gap covers what Rush Live Tournaments pay. The tier values below are the in-game objective requirements, which are verifiable; any "X points per match" figure you read is somebody's estimate, including ours. Plan around the tiers, not around a rate.
FC 27 Weekly Rush Points: every tier and reward
One weekly objective group, five tiers, six rewards. The group refreshes on its own cycle — the group live on 2 October 2026 was timed to expire on 6 October at roughly 17:00 UTC, which is not the same clock as the Thursday weekly objective reset, so check the timer in the FC Hub rather than assuming.
| Tier | Rush Points required |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2,500 |
| 2 | 10,000 |
| 3 | 20,000 |
| 4 | 25,000 |
| 5 | 35,000 |
| Group completion | all five tiers |
The six rewards attached to that ladder, as listed by the trackers:
- 2x 75+ Gold Players Pack
- 2x 78+ Gold Players Pack
- 2x 80+ Gold Players Pack
- 2x 82+ Gold Players Pack
- 83+ Gold Player Pack
- 2x 84+ Gold Players Pack
Tier requirements and reward pool per FUT.GG and FUTGenie objective trackers, read live on 2 October 2026. We are deliberately not pairing each pack to a specific tier: the trackers list the group's rewards as a set, and we have not verified the exact tier-by-tier order in-game. Read the ladder in the FC Hub before you stop at a tier.
The single most important line on this page: all of it is untradeable. That is a deliberate contrast with FC 27's headline economy change — EA's Launch Update promises that "a significantly higher proportion of rewards across Objectives, game modes, and other areas of FUT will be tradeable." Rush's weekly group is one of the places that promise does not reach. Nothing you pull here can be sold.
So the correct way to value Rush is as fodder generation. An 84+ untradeable is not 84+ coins of value — it is an 84 rated card you can feed into Squad Building Challenges, and 84s are the specific rating band doing the heavy lifting in FC 27's SBC economy, as we broke down in the FC 27 item score table. If your club is already drowning in untradeable 84s, the top tier is worth very little to you. If you are staring at an Upgrade SBC you cannot fill, it is one of the cheapest fodder sources in the game.
What does the Rush Milestone pay?
Separate group, no expiry, six objectives, four reward steps. Tracked contents:
- 3x 1 of 2 78+ Gold Player Pick
- 1x Coin Boost
- 1x Small Gold Players Pack, 3x 75+ Gold Player Pack, 1x Jumbo Gold Pack
Because it never expires, the Milestone completes itself in the background while you chase the weekly tiers. The Coin Boost is the quiet pick here — EA has not published an FC 27 Coin Boost multiplier, but a coin-payout boost lands on top of FC 27's increased end-of-match coin rewards, and EA states that "increased FUT Coin rewards and Season Points from eligible matches mean playing games can contribute more directly to your Club's progression." If you are going to play Rush at all, clear the Milestone first and bank the boost before a heavy Rivals session.
Why does my Block pick make my teammates angry?
Because Rush Bonuses are scored for the team, not for you. If the Event offers a Block for, say, a Bundesliga player and nobody in the lobby brings one, that block is dead for all five of you — the points simply do not exist. Your best card and your teammate's Block card are competing for the same roster slot.
The r/fut thread this week is the perfect illustration. One player's position, paraphrased: I use the cards I actually packed, I defend, I pass, and I would rather win with a good player than miss a win chasing a small bonus. The counter-position, also paraphrased: I hate Rush and only play for the objective, so if you pick whoever you like, I'll pick a card that ticks a Block and barely touch the controller.
Both behaviours are rational and both are a problem, because the mode scores two different things at once — the result and the Block sheet — and gives you one card to serve both. The practical reconciliation, in priority order:
- Take a Block you can actually play with. The highest-rated card that satisfies a Block beats the highest-rated card in your club.
- Pick early. 90 seconds is enough for one scroll of the filtered list, not three.
- Fill the gap nobody took. If two teammates already covered Blocks, your job is a competent all-rounder, not a third duplicate condition.
- Finish the match. Repeatedly leaving Rush early triggers a matchmaking delay of 15 minutes to one hour; completing matches clears it. Quitting out of a bad lobby costs you more Rush Points than the lobby would have.
One recurring complaint deserves its own warning: the teammate who sprints the keeper out of goal every attack. There is no in-game penalty for it, and the communication wheel is the only lever you have.

Is Rush worth it in FC 27?
Depends entirely on which currency you are short of.
| You need… | Is Rush the right mode? |
|---|---|
| Untradeable SBC fodder | Yes — five tiers of 75+ through 84+ packs for casual play |
| Coins | No — nothing in the weekly group is sellable; see which mode actually pays best per hour |
| Season Points / Season Pass levels | Partly — Rush matches are eligible matches, but the Season 1 objective list has faster SP routes |
| Champions Qualification Points | No — CQP comes from Rivals and Squad Battles, covered in our Rivals rewards guide |
| Low-stress play during a Finals weekend | Yes — 5v5 with no rank at stake is the obvious cooldown between Champions runs |
The honest summary: Rush is the best low-effort fodder tap in FC 27 and a poor coin engine. Treat 2,500 and 10,000 as near-free, 20,000 and 25,000 as a real evening's commitment, and 35,000 as something you chase only in a week where the Blocks happen to match your club.

How to hit 35,000 Rush Points fastest
- Clear the Rush Milestone first. It never expires, it pays three 78+ picks and the Coin Boost, and its objectives overlap with the weekly grind anyway.
- Play the Event with the loosest eligibility. When a Rush Event restricts items hard (one league, one campaign), the Block pool narrows and random lobbies miss more of them.
- Party up to four. You can form a party of up to four users; matchmaking fills the fifth. Four coordinated picks cover almost every Block on the sheet — this is the single biggest multiplier available to you.
- Never duplicate a teammate's Block. Duplicate Player Items are blocked outright, but duplicated conditions are the silent waste — two Premier League picks when the sheet wanted a Serie A one.
- Stack it with campaign Rush Events. Destined for Glory includes two Rush Events, one a Flash Event in the campaign's second week; event weeks are when the objective sheets overlap and the same matches pay twice.
- Finish every match. The 15-minute-to-one-hour leaver penalty is the fastest way to turn a 35,000 week into a 20,000 week.
FAQ
How many Rush Points do you get per match in FC 27? EA has not published a figure, and neither has any official source. Points come from completing Blocks, playing and winning — with the Block component dominating. Any exact per-match number you see online is an estimate from community testing, not from EA.
Are FC 27 Rush rewards tradeable? No. The Weekly Rush Points group states plainly that all rewards are untradeable. That makes Rush a fodder mode rather than a coin mode, and it is a notable exception to EA's stated FC 27 goal of making a significantly higher proportion of rewards tradeable.
What happens if I leave a Rush match early? Per FIFAUTeam's mechanics breakdown, players who repeatedly leave Rush matches early can receive matchmaking delays lasting between 15 minutes and one hour. Completing matches removes the penalty. If a teammate disconnects, AI takes over their player; the match only ends if every member of the team leaves.
Is Rush in FC 27 still 5v5? Ultimate Team Rush is small-sided with AI goalkeepers and parties of up to four plus matchmade fill — the 5v5 structure carried over from previous titles. EA's FC 27 pages only say "small-sided" without restating a player count, and the in-world Rush inside The Grounds is a different 3-minute version, so do not assume the two share rules.
Does Clubs Rush still exist in FC 27? It moved. Clubs now lives inside The Grounds, where Rush appears as matchmade Stadium Rush (EA groups Stadium Rush and Rush Live Tournaments under Stadium Drop In) and as the in-world dirt-pitch version. Neither one feeds your Ultimate Team Rush Points.
Should I play Rush or Draft for rewards? Draft costs 15,000 coins or a token per entry and pays a mix of tradeable content; Rush is free and pays untradeable fodder. If you want sellable rewards, Draft — the full maths is in our Draft rewards breakdown. If you want free SBC material with zero entry cost, Rush.
