Yes, you can S-grade the FC 27 Ultimate Scream Gallery without spending millions, but not by buying the lineup and keeping it. S needs a Set score of 115,000. The cheapest market lineup that gets there costs about 3,184,000 coins today. Because sold cards keep counting toward the Gallery, the real cost of the buy, add and sell route is mostly the 5% transfer tax: roughly 159,000 coins for S, or about 10,000 for B. If you already own five packed or earned Ultimate Scream cards, the First Owner bonus can carry you to S for close to nothing.
We're in Season 2 of EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team. Ultimate Scream launched on 23 October as a two-week promo, and EA says its Token Store "will remain open for an additional week after Ultimate Scream ends". fut.gg lists Scream Tokens and the store closing on 13 November at 17:59 UTC. The Ultimate Scream Gallery Set is the last piece of that promo most players haven't finished, and on r/EASportsFC this week the same question kept coming up: is S possible without blowing millions? In that thread, one player said they took every Scream player they could instead of packs and still finished on B.
This guide uses fut.gg's cheapest-lineup data for the Set, pulled on 6 November 2026 at 06:00 UTC. Market prices move every hour, so treat the coin figures as a snapshot and check the live Set screen before you buy anything.

What is the FC 27 Ultimate Scream Gallery?
It's a Rarity Gallery Set that only accepts Ultimate Scream Player Items. EA's own Ultimate Scream announcement on ea.com describes it in two lines under the heading "Ghostly Gallery": "Use Ultimate Scream Player Items to complete Objectives and earn themed Vanity Items. Submit a Set of five or more players to earn Gallery Tokens." (EA, FC 27 Ultimate Scream)
So there are two reward tracks on the same Set:
- Gallery Tokens for the grade you reach, like every other Gallery Set.
- A themed Objectives group that pays a Halloween cosmetic for each rank from D to S.

What are the Ultimate Scream Gallery grade requirements and rewards?
These are the thresholds and Gallery Token rewards fut.gg lists for the Set. Gallery grades are cumulative. EA's help page says: "If you jump straight to S, you'll get all the rewards from the lower grades." (EA Help, Gallery Sets and rewards guide)

The Objectives group (fut.gg, Ultimate Scream Gallery objectives) pays one item per rank, and the listed rewards are a Halloween VIP item, an Ultimate Scream Tifo, an Adidas Cnxt25 Pro Ball, an Ultimate Scream Stadium Theme and a final Ultimate Scream cosmetic for S. All of them are untradeable. Check the exact rank-to-reward pairing on your own Objectives screen before you spend for a specific item.
Notice what's missing: no packs, no player picks, no coins. S is worth 40 more Gallery Tokens than A and one extra cosmetic. That's the number to keep in mind for every cost below.
How much does the cheapest Ultimate Scream Gallery lineup cost?
This is where the "multimillion coin set" reaction on Reddit comes from. fut.gg's cheapest lineup per grade, using market prices on 6 November:

The jump from B to A is the trap. B costs about 205,000 coins of cards. A costs about 1.5 million, more than seven times as much, for 20 extra tokens. S doubles it again.
The cheapest S lineup fut.gg found is built around the Pristine Holographic and regular versions of Simone Laudehr (89), plus Pristine Dominik Szoboszlai (88), Pristine Scott McTominay (88) and Holographic Fabinho (87), together worth 116,007 points. Szoboszlai alone is about 1.19 million coins.
Why does Holographic matter so much in this Set?
Because Holographic cards score 50% more than the standard version of the same card. fut.gg's grading scores show it directly:

That's also why the Item Score curve is so top-heavy. Five standard 86s add up to 30,750 points, enough only for C. Swap them for five Holographic 86s and you're at 46,125, which is just short of B on its own. EA confirms the principle: "Because Holographic Items are rarer than their standard counterparts, they contribute more to your Set's overall score."
What is the cheapest way to get S in the Ultimate Scream Gallery?
There are three routes. Which one fits depends on what's already in your club.
Route 1: First Owner cards (nearly free)
This is the route the useful Reddit reply pointed at: if the B-tier cards in your Set are first-owned, they lift it to S. First Owner is a bonus tag for Player Items you got directly from packs, SBCs, Objectives or rewards, never from the Transfer Market. Community-captured tag tables (FUT.GG) put it at +150% for 5 to 9 first-owned items, rising at 10 and 20, but this Set only holds five players, so +150% is the ceiling here. EA hasn't published the tag percentages, so treat the exact figure as the community's.
The maths: at +150%, your total score is your base score times 2.5. 115,000 ÷ 2.5 = 46,000 base score. That's about five Holographic 86s, or a mix such as one 88 plus a handful of 86s, all of which you need to have packed or earned. Ultimate Scream cards you packed from Scream Token Store guarantee packs, objectives or promo SBCs count. Cards you bought don't, even if you've since made them untradeable.
Route 2: Buy, add, sell (cheap, needs coins in hand)
EA's Gallery rules make this legal: "If an eligible Player Item passes through your Club, it can still count toward your Gallery after you sell it." (EA Help) So you can buy a card, add it to the Set, confirm, sell it and move on to the next one.
What it really costs:
- Coins in hand: at least the price of the most expensive card, about 1.19 million for S or 64,500 for B. Buying one card at a time means you never hold the whole 3.2 million.
- Net loss: the 5% EA transfer tax on every resale (the rate community tax calculators show for FC 27), plus whatever the price moves while you hold the card. At S that's about 159,000 coins of tax. At B it's about 10,000.
- Safety step: press Confirm Changes after each card goes in, so the Set has recorded it before you list it. Grading is manual in FC 27, and adding a card doesn't regrade the Set on its own.
The hidden risk is price movement. Ultimate Scream cards get a boost from 24 November: EA says all Ultimate Scream Player Items get one face stat raised to 99 plus full in-position Chemistry for one week. Prices for the most popular cards may firm up ahead of that date, or drift down now that the two-week promo has ended (around 6 November) and again when the Token Store, including its Scream guarantee packs, closes on 13 November. Either way, a card you can't sell for what you paid turns a 159k plan into a 250k one. Sell fast, list near the floor, and don't hold.
Route 3: Buy the lineup outright (don't)
About 3.2 million coins for 75 tokens and five cosmetics only makes sense if you were going to play those exact cards anyway. If Szoboszlai and McTominay were already on your shopping list, the Set is a free bonus on top. If not, Route 2 gets you the same result for about 5% of the price.

Is the Ultimate Scream Gallery S grade worth it?
For most players, no. Get B and stop. Here's the comparison, using Route 2 costs:

B is cheap and gets you the first three cosmetics. A and S cost far more per token, and Gallery Tokens only buy what's in the Gallery Token Store. EA says that store sells "rewards such as Kits, Badges, and base Hall of FUT Items" and that its stock can change through the Season. The two cases where S is worth it:
- You have five first-owned Scream cards with enough base score (Route 1). The extra tokens cost you nothing.

How do you complete the Ultimate Scream Gallery Set step by step?
- Check your club first. Go to Club, then Gallery, open the Ultimate Scream Set and press Autocomplete. EA says it adds "your best available eligible Player Items". Note the grade you already reach for free.
- Look at the First Owner tag on the Set screen. If you're close to five first-owned Scream cards, packing one more is cheaper than buying score.
- Pick your target grade using the tables above. B is the sensible stop for most clubs.
- Buy the cheapest missing card, add it, Confirm Changes, then sell it. One card at a time.
- Regrade after every change. Lower grades can be improved later. EA: "If you get a lower grade, you can return to the Set when you have higher-scoring eligible Player Items and try to improve it."
- Claim the Objectives rewards from the Ultimate Scream Gallery group once each rank is hit.
EA hasn't said when the Set or its Objectives group closes. The Scream Token Store closes on 13 November, so finish before then to be safe.
What should you do with your Scream Tokens before 13 November?
This matters for Route 1. Scream Token Store guarantee packs give you first-owned Ultimate Scream cards, which feed the First Owner bonus directly.
