Stat Fruits are the fastest way to fix a Pal's weak IVs in Palworld 1.0 — and the single biggest reason your carefully bred endgame Pal still hits like wet paper. This guide covers exactly what Life, Power and Stout Fruit do, the current cheapest place to farm them after the 1.0.3 drop-table change, and how many you actually need to max a stat.
Quick answer: Stat Fruits (a.k.a. IV Fruits) each raise one of a Pal's IV/Potential stats by +10. Life Fruit → HP, Power Fruit → Attack, Stout Fruit → Defense. The cheapest, most reliable source in 1.0.5 is the Vigilante Bounty Officer, who sells each fruit for just 25 Successful Bounty Tokens — a fraction of the 200 Dog Coins the Medal Merchant charges. You farm those tokens by hunting and capturing Wanted Fugitives (human bounty targets), then butchering them with a Meat Cleaver for bonus tokens. Endgame raid bosses (Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Hartalis, Xenolord) also drop them at roughly a 1-in-3 chance per clear. Each stat caps at IV 100, so 10 fruits max a single stat.
Verified against Palworld 1.0.5 (current build as of September 2026). If a guide sends you to the normal Moon Lord for Stat Fruits, it was written before the 1.0.3 patch — that route is dead.
If the climb to 80 is the part you want to skip, our Palworld leveling service handles it on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, on your own world or a dedicated server.

What are Stat Fruits in Palworld?
Every Pal you catch or hatch rolls hidden IV (Individual Value) stats — called Potential in-game — for HP, Attack and Defense, on a 0–100 scale. A Pal with a lucky 90+ Attack roll can out-damage an identical Pal with a 20 roll by a huge margin. In early access those rolls were locked at capture, so a bad IV Pal was a bad Pal forever.
That is no longer true. In Palworld 1.0, Stat Fruits let you raise any IV stat after the fact — which means IVs are no longer locked, and a Pal you love with a weak roll can be fixed. This is one of the most important 1.0 changes that most older guides still get wrong.
There are three fruits, each tied to one stat:
| Fruit | Stat raised | Effect per fruit | In-game description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Life Fruit | HP Potential | +10 | "Slightly increases a Pal's HP." |
| Power Fruit | Attack Potential | +10 | "Slightly increases a Pal's attack." |
| Stout Fruit | Defense Potential | +10 | "Slightly increases a Pal's defense." |
All three are classified as Legendary consumables with a 5,000 Gold sell price, which tells you how the game values them. They are single-use: eat one, the Pal permanently gains +10 to that Potential stat, and the fruit is gone.
How many Stat Fruits do you need?
Because each IV stat caps at 100 and each fruit gives +10, the math is clean: a maximum of 10 fruits to fully max one stat. A Pal that already rolled, say, a 40 in Attack only needs 6 Power Fruits to reach 100.
A maxed IV of 100 is worth roughly a +30% boost to that stat at the top end, according to community stat testing — meaningful, but not the only lever. Stat Fruits stack on top of Condensing, Pal Souls, Trust and Awakening, which is exactly why endgame players farm them: they are the last few percent that separate a good raid Pal from a boss-killer. If you want the full picture of how a Pal actually gets strong, our Palworld leveling guide breaks down all five upgrade tracks — or you can skip the grind entirely.
Where to get Stat Fruits (all sources, 1.0.5)
There are two honest ways to get Stat Fruits: buy them from a merchant or farm them from raid bosses. Buying is far more consistent, because raid drops are random. Here is every source, ranked by how painful it is.
1. Vigilante Bounty Officer — 25 Bounty Tokens each (best rate)
This is the answer. The Vigilante Bounty Officer (found at PIDF-style bounty posts) sells any Stat Fruit for 25 Successful Bounty Tokens apiece. Compared to every other purchase option, this is dramatically cheaper.
You earn Bounty Tokens by hunting Wanted Fugitives — human criminal targets with bounties on their heads, scattered across the islands. The efficiency trick, per TheGamer's bounty guide:
"Capturing Wanted Fugitives is a better idea than killing them; as capturing grants you their loot, and later, you can butcher them with a Meat Cleaver or Pal Disassembly Conveyor for even more loot." — TheGamer
So capture the bounty targets instead of killing them, then butcher the captured Bounties for extra tokens on top of the base reward. At 25 tokens versus the Medal Merchant's 200 Dog Coins for the exact same fruit, this is the route to use — and it means you should stop skipping human bounties, because they are the single best fruit source in the game.
2. Medal Merchant — 200 Dog Coins each
The Medal Merchant, found inside ruined and abandoned churches (Desolate Church, Isle of Silence church ruins, and similar), sells each Stat Fruit for 200 Dog Coins. Dog Coins drop almost exclusively from the Pal Mimog, which spawns in place of Treasure Chests across the Palpagos Islands.
This works, but at 200 coins per fruit — 2,000 coins to max a single stat — it is eight times the token cost of the Bounty Officer. Use the Medal Merchant only if you already have Dog Coins piling up, and save your coins for items the Medal Shop sells exclusively (Starfruit, Elixirs, weapon schematics). One important note: the Medal Merchant is not in Sakurajima, a common player mistake.
3. Arena Shop — 100 Battle Tickets each
The Arena Shop sells Stat Fruits for 100 Battle Tickets each. Battle Tickets come from Arena combat, so this is a fine sink if you enjoy the fighting loop, but it is slower to bankroll than bounties for most players.
4. Endgame raid bosses — ~1-in-3 per clear
The four hardest raid bosses in the game each drop one of each Stat Fruit at roughly a one-in-three chance per clear:
- Bellanoir Libero (and Bellanoir Libero Ultra)
- Blazamut Ryu (and Ultra)
- Hartalis (and Ultra)
- Xenolord (and Ultra)
Raid drops are the "free" route if you are already farming these bosses for other materials, but the randomness makes them unreliable for a specific fruit. If you need three Power Fruits right now, buying beats praying to the drop table.
The 1.0.3 Moon Lord trap — don't use old guides
Here is the correction that will save you an hour of wasted farming. Before the 1.0.3 patch, the normal Moon Lord raid boss — the Terraria-crossover boss summoned with a Celestial Sigil — was the standard recommended Stat Fruit farm everywhere. Game8's Moon Lord route was linked by nearly every guide.
As of 1.0.3, the normal Moon Lord no longer drops Life, Power or Stout Fruit (nor Training Crystals). Pocketpair's 1.0.3 notes only say the reward settings for the normal Moon Lord and the Ultra Raid Boss "had not been updated to the intended settings" and were corrected — but the community drop tables caught up the same day, and the result is blunt:
"1.0.3 Update: Moon Lord no longer drops IV fruits." — r/Palworld
If a guide is still sending you to the normal Moon Lord for Stat Fruits, it was written before the change and is wrong.
The current live build is 1.0.5 (a texture and map-icon hotfix released mid-September 2026, with no changes to the fruit economy), so the routes above — Bounty Officer, Medal Merchant, Arena Shop, and the four raid bosses — are what actually work today.

How to use Stat Fruits correctly
A few things that trip players up:
- You feed the fruit to the Pal, not to yourself. Select the Pal, use the fruit, and the +10 applies to that Pal's Potential stat permanently.
- Check the IV first with Ability Glasses. Ability Glasses (a Technology Level 34 ancient unlock, 4 Ancient Technology Points) reveal a Pal's HP/Attack/Defense Potential on a 0–100 scale, with values of 70+ shown in green. Do not blindly pour 10 fruits into a stat — check the roll first so you only buy the fruits you need.
- Prioritize your best endgame Pals. Because a stat caps at 100, dumping fruits into a Pal you will replace is wasted currency. Max the Pals you actually take into the Sealed Sanctum and hard-mode raids — your Jetragon, Orserk, Frostallion Noct, and similar.
- Fruits stack with everything else. IV boosts are separate from Condensing (+5% per star), Pal Souls (+3% per rank), Trust, and Awakening (×1.1). A truly maxed Pal has all of them. Stat Fruits are usually the cheapest of the five to top off.
Max Your Pals Without the Grind
Stat Fruits are one lever of five, and getting a Pal to a true endgame ceiling — maxed IVs, condensed to four stars, Awakened, high Trust — is a lot of bounty hunting, raid clears, and currency farming. If you'd rather run the endgame content than farm the materials for it, our team can take the grind off your hands.

FAQ
What do Stat Fruits do in Palworld? Each Stat Fruit permanently raises one of a Pal's IV/Potential stats by 10. Life Fruit raises HP, Power Fruit raises Attack, and Stout Fruit raises Defense. Since IV stats cap at 100, a maximum of 10 fruits will fully max a single stat on one Pal.
Where is the cheapest place to buy Stat Fruits? The Vigilante Bounty Officer, at 25 Successful Bounty Tokens per fruit. That is far cheaper than the Medal Merchant's 200 Dog Coins or the Arena Shop's 100 Battle Tickets. Earn Bounty Tokens by capturing Wanted Fugitives and butchering them with a Meat Cleaver for extra tokens.
Do I still farm Moon Lord for Stat Fruits? No. Since the 1.0.3 patch, the normal Moon Lord no longer drops Life, Power or Stout Fruit. Any guide sending you to the normal Moon Lord for stat fruits was written before that change. Use the Bounty Officer or the endgame raid bosses instead.
Are IVs locked at capture in Palworld 1.0? No — this is the big change from early access. In 1.0 you can raise any Pal's IV stats after capture using Stat Fruits, so a Pal with a bad roll is no longer stuck with it. Every pre-July-2026 guide that says IVs are permanent is out of date.
How many Stat Fruits does it take to max a Pal? Up to 30 — a maximum of 10 each for HP, Attack and Defense — if the Pal rolled zero in every stat. Most Pals roll higher than zero, so in practice you will need fewer. Check the exact IVs with Ability Glasses before spending.
Which raid bosses drop Stat Fruits? Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Hartalis and Xenolord — plus their Ultra versions — each drop one of each Stat Fruit at roughly a 1-in-3 chance per clear.
