PoE 2 WarbringerB
Warrior ascendancy · verified 2026-07-04 · STR
community tier · patch 0.5.4b (editorial)
A tribal war-chief who turns warcries into a corpse-detonating engine while breaking enemy armour and leaning on totems for support and defence.
You build around a warcry-into-explosion loop: shout to shatter armour and detonate corpses, which cascades physical damage across a pack. It layers in totems for extra bodies and damage-redirection, plus strong block/shield defence, but the three-mechanic chain (warcry to corpse explosion to armour break) only clicks once you learn to position for it, so it feels weak early and comes online around the mid-campaign.
Strengths
- Elite pack-clear once the warcry corpse-explosion loop is set up
- Ignoring warcry cooldowns lets you spam shouts as a core damage tool
- Strong armour-break support turns your hits (and allies') into a shred engine
- Deep block/shield and totem defensive layers for a tanky front line
Weaknesses
- Weak and clunky early game; the payoff loop doesn't come online until roughly Act 5+
- Higher execution/positioning skill floor than the other two Warrior ascendancies
- Reduced identity after 0.5 nerfs compared to prior patches
Current standing (B-tier): strong map-clear ceiling but a high skill floor and post-0.5 nerfs put it mid-pack, generally rated below Smith and Titan for comfort. Key Warbringer notables
What each ascendancy notable actually does for the build — effect directions, not raw numbers (exact values shift every patch; check in game before committing points).
Warcaller's Bellow
Makes your warcries detonate corpses for physical damage and lets you ignore warcry cooldowns, turning shouts into a repeatable pack-clearing bomb.
Answered Call
Grants an extra summoned totem and triggers Ancestral Spirits whenever you summon a totem, blending totems with ancestral support.
Anvil's Weight
Converts a portion of your hit damage into armour breaking, so your attacks steadily shred enemy defences.
Imploding Impacts
Lets you break armour below zero and turns fully-broken armour into an all-damage-taken amplifier on the target.
Turtle Charm
Pushes maximum block chance up to 75% (blocked hits still deal reduced damage), a major defensive backbone.
Wooden Wall
Redirects a share of incoming hit damage to your nearest totem's life before it reaches you, using totems as damage sponges.
