The latest Mortal Kombat Mobile update is a small hotfix, but the game around it is about to change. This page covers what the patch fixed, what's still live from Update 7.4, what starts on November 11, and when the next big update is likely to land. We refresh it after each patch.
Quick answer (checked November 2, 2026): The latest version is Hotfix 7.4.1, out on the App Store on October 29, 2026. It's a bug fix patch that also came with the Elder Gems Webstore opening. WB hasn't announced the next numbered update. Its next dated content is the Season of Assassins Kombat Pass on November 11, then the Season of Torment in December. Major updates in this cycle came 63 to 112 days apart, and 7.1 landed in late January this year, so our estimate for the next one is late January 2027, not a WB date.

WB's release notes section has nothing newer as of November 2. Several older patch notes picked up a new timestamp that morning, so a changed timestamp there doesn't mean a new patch.
What did Hotfix 7.4.1 fix?
WB opened the notes with "Thank you for your patience as we worked to fix several issues introduced in Update 7.4." The list is short.

What did Update 7.4 add that still matters?
Update 7.4 is the real content patch of this cycle, and most of it is still in play.
- New Diamonds: MK1 Noob Saibot and Assassin Mileena. Our tier list ranks both.
- Assassin buffs: Assassin Kitana and Assassin Skarlet got stat boosts and better team synergy, ahead of Mileena's full release.
- Stage I Ascension: Covert Ops Cassie Cage, Klassic Jade, Klassic Kano and Lizard Noob Saibot.
- Stage II Ascension: Klassic Noob Saibot, Dark Raiden and Edenian Blood Sindel. Stage II fighters can enter Elder Survivor and Khaotic Krypt.
- Krypt: A new Upgrades tab sells all four Fusion Up types for Hearts, limited to one of each per week. Fusion Up chances fell slightly in most difficulties, and Hearts rose slightly in Elder and Khaotic. The Krypt guide has the details.
- Elder Challenges: The popup that let players bypass the account level restriction is closed. See the Challenge schedule.
- Also new: The fan-voted Khaoseum arena, Friendships for Sindel and Spawn, and a new Krypt badge hunt.
The Tower of Khaos was the headline event, and it's leaving now. The fan tracker MK Mobile Base lists its end as November 2. u/Silly_Sherbet2599 warned players that morning that it "leaves an hour after the towers reset later." What's live and what's next in MK Mobile?
WB's Season of Shadows art gives most of these dates. The rest come from MK Mobile Base's events page, a fan tracker, so treat those as likely. The timer in your game is the final word.

The two sources differ by a day on the pass: WB prints November 10 and the tracker says November 11, so plan for the earlier date. WB's art also calls the Realm Klash reward "Darkest Night," but the in-game card reads Darkest Knight.
What is coming on November 11?
Season of Assassins is the next dated change. WB says to "Complete the Premium Pass to add Diamond Assassin Mileena to your kollection," and that the season also brings Krypt Store specials and Realm Klash Modifiers. Premium+ buyers in Season of Shadows can get her early by reaching tier 57 of 60.
Will November 11 bring a new client patch too? WB hasn't said. There's a date match from last year: Update 7.0.1 landed on November 11, 2025 with bug fixes, and it announced the next pass for late December. Don't count on a repeat, because 7.4 already announced this season.
December's Season of Torment has one line in the notes: "Koming this December." WB's screenshot for that section shows Tormented Soul Spawn on the pass.

When is the next MK Mobile update?
WB hasn't announced one, and we found no official 7.5 mention. We can still estimate it from the patch history in WB's release notes.

Three patterns stand out:
- Gaps of 63 to 112 days. Counted from October 13, that's a window of December 15, 2026 to February 2, 2027.
- January beat December last time. The 7.0.1 notes said "we're planning more significant improvements for 7.1 in January," and 7.1 followed on January 27. Season of Torment is already set for December too, which points the same way.
- Wednesdays. Notes tend to post a day early. 7.2 said April 1 and 7.3 said July 22, while WB's preview gave October 14 for 7.4. All three dates were Wednesdays.
That's why we'd pencil in late January 2027, on a Wednesday. It's an estimate from four gaps, so a December surprise wouldn't be shocking. Hotfixes have followed a tighter rhythm: three of the last four majors got one 14 or 15 days later, and 7.3 has no hotfix in the feed. WB's 7.4 preview video went up on October 7, one week ahead, so a preview is the best early warning.
How do you get the update, and what if it won't install?
Update through the App Store or Google Play, as the game has no PC or console client. The two stores don't always match, as the dates above show, so give the other platform a little time.
Before you reinstall to fix a bad download, link your profile to a WB Games Account. Update 7.0 calls that account "your new mechanism for cloud saves and account recovery," and WB warns in its linking FAQ that "any progress lost is not recoverable" in a link conflict. If the game won't connect after patching, start with WB's network troubleshooting steps.
What should you do before November 11?
With eight days left on the pass by WB's date, here's the order we'd use.
- Finish the Kombat Pass first. Season of Shadows is the guaranteed MK1 Noob Saibot route on Premium. WB's Kombat Pass FAQ lets you buy tiers with Souls, up to tier 40 on Free and tier 60 on Premium.
- Run Tower of Horror and Nightmare Tower. Our Halloween tower guide covers the rewards and boss floors.
- Play both Realm Klash splits. The tracker lists Kenshi as this week's bonus fighters, then Jade fighters from November 4, with Assassin, Day of the Dead and MK11 Jade at x5.
- Clear Shinnok once it opens. The Elder team rule needs Johnny Cage or Scorpion cards, so the schedule page is worth a look first.
- Keep some Souls back. The Souls guide shows what else competes for them, and a new pass starts on November 11.
