Quick answer. In Version 7.1 the best Yae Miko build is the Stellar-Conduct build, and it only exists after you finish her Witch's Revelation quest. Run 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow (4-piece Gilded Dreams while you farm it), an ATK% or Elemental Mastery Sands, an ATK% or Elemental Mastery Goblet instead of the usual Electro Goblet, and a CRIT Circlet. Get around 100 to 300 Elemental Mastery, then build ATK% and CRIT, aiming for a 1:2 CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG ratio. Skip Energy Recharge, because her Burst is usually not worth casting in these teams. Her signature Kagura's Verity is still her best weapon, but C1 and C2 come first if you have to choose. Pair her with a Stellar-Conduct enabler: Sandrone, Odette or the Cryo Traveler. Her best team is Yae, Sandrone, Odette and Qiqi.

This guide covers Version 7.1, "A Rekviem for the Underworld". Talent text, set bonuses and weapon numbers were checked on 20 October 2026 against HoYoverse's own notices and the in-game talent text.

What changed for Yae Miko with Witch's Revelation?

She got a second kit. In Version "Luna VIII" (the 1 July 2026 update), HoYoverse added the Witch's Revelation system. It gives seven older characters an extra talent and rewrites parts of their kit. The Version "Luna VIII" Update Details on HoYoLAB name them: "Wriothesley, Yae Miko, Cyno, Yumemizuki Mizuki, Qiqi, Diona, and Beidou."

Yae's new talent is called Edict of Cleansing. Here is what it does, from the in-game text:

ChangeBefore RevelationAfter Revelation
Sesshou Sakura duration14s24s (+10s)
Burst vs. totemsBurst destroyed the totemsTotems stay on the field after the Burst
Party Superconduct or Stellar-ConductNo effectNext totem strike gains +80% of her ATK as extra DMG, once every 2.5s
Inside a Polestar FieldNo effectThat enhanced strike adds a separate hit worth 200% of her ATK, counted as Stellar-Conduct DMG
A1, recast with 3 totems upNot in the old kitAn extra strike for 40% ATK, or 50% ATK counted as Stellar-Conduct DMG in Radiance

HoYoverse's own infographic sums it up in her voice: "The spirits I control have become stronger. That certainly saves me a lot of trouble."

The 24-second totems are the practical part. One Skill set-up now covers a normal 20-second rotation. You no longer have to come back mid-rotation to refresh her turrets.

How do you unlock Yae Miko's Witch's Revelation?

You need two quests and a level-70 Yae:

  • Finish Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, "Song of the Dragon and Freedom". HoYoverse lists this as the unlock condition in its Witch's Revelation Gameplay Details, and says the system has been "Permanently available after the Version 'Luna VIII' update".
  • Complete "Revelations by Chance" to get the Witch's Revelation Case. It is a Hexenzirkel guidance quest that starts in the Court of Fontaine Region.
  • Raise Yae to level 70. The official notice says you can unveil the revelation "when the corresponding character reaches Lv. 70."
  • Complete "Witch's Revelation: Great Youkai's Instruction". This is Yae's own quest, filed under the Lunar Arcana card Justice (Reversed). It ends with a wave of six Primordial Bathysmal Vishap Hatchlings, then three Primordial Bathysmal Vishaps, played with a trial Yae and Kamisato Ayaka. Finishing it unlocks Edict of Cleansing.

If you have not used the Lunar Arcana menu yet, our Lunar Arcana guide explains where these quests live.

How does Yae Miko's Stellar-Conduct build work?

Stellar-Conduct is the Cryo plus Electro reaction from Version "Luna VIII". The Update Details describe it like this: "Cryo and Electro can trigger Stellar-Conduct. A Starlight Prism will appear on the field, turning the surrounding area into a Polestar Field for a short period of time."

Two things trip people up:

  • Yae cannot turn it on by herself. Normally, Cryo plus Electro gives you plain Superconduct. A teammate with a Stellar Jubilee Passive turns Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct. Right now that means Sandrone, Odette or the Cryo Traveler. Without one of them, Yae's Revelation does a lot less.
  • The reaction itself deals no damage. It creates the Polestar Field. The damage comes from talents that deal "Stellar-Conduct DMG", and Yae's Revelation is one of the strongest. Our Stellar-Conduct vs Stellar Swirl explainer covers how the field's stacks build up.

This changes how you gear her. Her old Aggravate build leaned on Electro DMG and EM. KQM's current Yae quick guide, updated for Version 7.0, says the opposite of what most players assume: "As Yae's Stellar-Conduct damage does not benefit from Electro DMG Bonus, an ATK% or EM Goblet is preferred." It also says "most of Yae's damage comes from her Witch's Revelation Passive in Stellar-Conduct teams."

The ceiling, in numbers (our arithmetic). The enhanced strike can trigger at most once every 2.5s, so a 20-second rotation allows up to 8 procs, and 6 to 7 is more realistic. Each proc inside the Polestar Field adds 80% plus 200% of her ATK, which is 280% ATK. Eight procs add up to 2,240% of her ATK in extra hits per rotation, on top of her normal totem damage. You only reach that ceiling if the team triggers Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct at least every 2.5 seconds, which is why fast Cryo appliers matter so much.

What are the best artifacts for Yae Miko?

RankSetWhy
14-pc Disenchantment in Deep Shadow2-pc ATK +18%. 4-pc +40% Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG, and +16% CRIT Rate on attacks against enemies affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct
24-pc Gilded Dreams2-pc +80 EM. 4-pc gives EM per party member of a different element, and in a Cryo-heavy party that is almost all of them
32-pc ATK% plus 2-pc ATK% or EMPlaceholder while you farm the 4-pc
Team option4-pc Heart of the Furnace+50% Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG for the whole party. Only one copy counts, so give it to whoever else has nothing better
Avoid4-pc Golden TroupeHer old off-field set. Its DMG Bonus does not reach her Stellar-Conduct damage

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow drops from the domain Thorny Crown of the Mountain Wind. Heart of the Furnace drops from Inverted Glacier, a Version 7.0 domain.

Main stats and substats.

  • Sands: ATK% or Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet: ATK% or Elemental Mastery, not Electro DMG Bonus
  • Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
  • Substats: CRIT, then ATK%, then EM, then flat ATK

Do not put EM on both your Sands and your Goblet. Her 4th Ascension Passive, Enlightened Blessing, gives +0.15% Sesshou Sakura DMG per point of EM, so 200 EM is a 30% boost to her totems. That is why a little EM pays off and a lot of EM doesn't. Her Revelation hits scale off ATK. One player stuck on 7.1 Floor 12 on r/GenshinImpactTips put her on Gilded Dreams for now, at 69% CRIT Rate and 180% CRIT DMG. After doing the Witch's Revelation quests for Yae and Wriothesley and adjusting builds, they said their Wriothesley, Yae, Beidou and Cryo Traveler team could "comfortably reach 65k damage now".

What is the best weapon for Yae Miko?

WeaponTypeWhy it works
Kagura's Verity5-star signature608 base ATK and 66.2% CRIT DMG. Each Skill cast gives a stack: +12% Skill DMG and +12% Stellar-Conduct DMG for 24s, max 3. At 3 stacks she also gets +12% All Elemental DMG (R1)
Reliquary of Truth5-starHigh CRIT substat. KQM ranks it second
Vivid Notions5-starLots of stats with no conditions
Echoes of the Heart4-star, forgedATK% substat. +60 EM after any reaction and +16% Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG after a Stellar Glimmer reaction for 12s (R1). At R5 that becomes 120 EM and 32%
The Widsith4-starDecent placeholder

Kagura's Verity got its Stellar-Conduct effect in the "Luna VIII" update. The Update Details say it "will gain new enhancement effects". Three Skill casts give the full R1 bonus: +36% Skill DMG, +36% Stellar-Conduct DMG and +12% All Elemental DMG.

Echoes of the Heart has one condition to know about. It is a free crafted Kuznets Series catalyst. You buy the diagram from Kuzmichev. It only triggers when Yae herself triggers the reaction. Dealing Stellar-Conduct damage does not count. KQM says it is not viable in teams where the Cryo aura has poor uptime, such as a Cyno, Beidou and Odette team.

Should you get Kagura's Verity or Yae's C2?

C2, if you play her in Stellar-Conduct teams. KQM's verdict: "In Stellar-Conduct teams, Yae's C1 and C2 are always recommended over her signature weapon due to their valuable team buffs." Revelation rewrote four of her constellations. These are the ones that matter:

  • C1, Yakan Offering: after Yae triggers Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct, or deals Stellar-Conduct DMG, the whole party gets +50% Electro DMG and +50% Stellar-Conduct DMG Bonus for 10s. That buff is the main reason her team value jumps at C1.
  • C2, Fox's Mooncall: totems start at level 2 and can reach level 4, with 60% more range. Yae and your active character also gain 60, 90, 120 or 200 EM, depending on totem level.
  • C4, Sakura Channeling: +20% Electro DMG for the party, 8 Energy back every 5s, and +100% Burst DMG.
  • C6, Forbidden Art: Daisesshou: totems ignore 60% of enemy DEF, and her Stellar-Conduct CRIT DMG rises by 200%.

C1 might be free. Yae is on the event-page Stella Fortuna roster for "To Temper Thyself and Journey Far" (cycle rules in announcement 21761). You must already own her, and she must not have received a Stella Fortuna from a past cycle. That cycle ends 2 November 2026 at 03:59 server time. The week that started with the 19 October reset is window 11 of 12. That leaves two more weekly goals at most, so you need 6 of the 8 already banked to finish this cycle. Unclaimed picks do not carry over, so claim it before the deadline.

What are Yae Miko's best teams in 7.1?

Every strong Yae team starts the same way: Yae, then one Stellar-Conduct enabler, then two more Cryo or Electro characters or buffers. These teams come from KQM's quick guide:

TeamRotationNotes
Yae, Sandrone, Odette, QiqiYae 3E > Odette 2E > Qiqi E (Q at C6) > Sandrone comboThe top team. Swap Qiqi for Alyosha if needed, though Qiqi is the better buffer below Alyosha's C6
Yae, Sandrone or Cryo Traveler, Qiqi, SucroseYae 3E > Qiqi E Q > Sucrose N1 Q > carry comboWorks without Odette. Qiqi can hold Heart of the Furnace
Yae, Odette, Wriothesley or Cyno, NicoleYae 3E > Odette 2E > Nicole E > carry comboOdette is the enabler here, because neither carry can trigger Stellar-Conduct on their own
Yae, Odette, Qiqi, AlyoshaUse everything off cooldownNo on-field carry. Easy to play, and Yae plus Odette deal the damage

Qiqi is free right now. Revelation Qiqi is one of the best supports for Yae. KQM explains why: unlike Beidou or Diona, "Qiqi's Stellar-Conduct DMG Bonus is teamwide." She is a Standard Wish 5-star, so you can take her from the Version 7.1 selector "Across the Frozen Wilds, Honing One's Edge" until 3 November 2026, 14:59 server time (announcement 21885). Our free 5-star selector guide compares her with the other picks.

Escoffier, on the Phase 2 banner until 3 November, is a strong fourth slot when your carry is a Cryo on-fielder like Sandrone or Wriothesley: frequent Cryo fills the Polestar Field and she shreds Cryo RES. Our Escoffier team guide has her other shells.

What talents and materials does Yae Miko need?

Talent priority: Skill > Burst >> Normal Attack. KQM adds that because most of her damage now comes from the Revelation passive, an under-levelled Skill costs less than it used to. In most Stellar-Conduct teams you can leave her Burst unlevelled.

The slowest part is the 168 Sea Ganoderma, an Inazuma coastal specialty. The weekly boss drop The Meaning of Aeons comes in second. If you are planning to Crown her Skill, our Crown of Insight guide lists every source still open in 7.1.

When is Yae Miko's next banner?

HoYoverse has not announced one. Her most recent appearance was the Heavenlit Prophecy Lightrace Wish, from 1 to 21 July 2026. She has not been on a Version 7.0 or 7.1 banner, and neither 7.1 selector includes her. The next confirmed line-up will come with the Version 7.2 Special Program, which had not been announced when we checked the official feeds on 20 October 2026.

Is Yae Miko good in the current Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater?

Yes, she is one of the best fits in both this month. The Version 7.1 Update Details (announcement 21946) say:

  • Spiral Abyss, from 16 October: "Floor 12 Ley Line Disorders changed to: First Half: Characters' Stellar Glimmer DMG increased by 75%." Stellar-Conduct is one of the two Stellar Glimmer reactions. The blessing, Stardread Moon, also fires a True DMG shockwave when a character deals Stellar-Conduct DMG (or triggers Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct), at most once every 2 seconds. Our Floor 12 guide lists the enemies.
  • Imaginarium Theater, from 1 October: Yae is a Special Guest Star, so you can bring her even though Electro is not one of the season's three elements. The 1 November season requires Hydro, Electro and Geo, so Yae no longer needs a guest slot, and Qiqi and Odette become Special Guest Stars. Sandrone is not eligible that season, but the Yae, Odette, Qiqi and Alyosha team stays fully usable. Details are in our October Imaginarium Theater guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Yae Miko still good in Genshin 7.1? Yes. With her Witch's Revelation done, she is the main off-field damage dealer in Stellar-Conduct teams, and KQM calls those teams "her new best archetype". Without the quest, or without Sandrone, Odette or the Cryo Traveler, she falls back to her older Aggravate and Overloaded roles.

Should Yae Miko use an Electro DMG Goblet? Not in a Stellar-Conduct team. Most of her damage there is Stellar-Conduct DMG, and KQM notes it does not benefit from Electro DMG Bonus. Use an ATK% or Elemental Mastery Goblet. An Electro Goblet still makes sense in her older Aggravate teams.

Does Yae Miko need Energy Recharge? Not for her Stellar-Conduct build. Her Burst costs 90 Energy and is usually skipped in these teams, because the field time costs more than the hit is worth. Cast it when it happens to be ready, and do not build ER to make that happen.

Can Yae Miko trigger Stellar-Conduct without Sandrone or Odette? No. Her Cryo and Electro hits only make plain Superconduct unless a Stellar Jubilee character is in the party. Right now that means Sandrone, Odette or the Cryo Traveler. The Cryo Traveler is the free option.

Is Disenchantment in Deep Shadow better than Gilded Dreams on Yae? Yes, for Stellar-Conduct teams. Deep Shadow adds 40% Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG and 16% CRIT Rate against affected enemies. Gilded Dreams is KQM's second choice and a good set to use while you farm Deep Shadow.

What level does Yae Miko need for Witch's Revelation? Level 70. You also need to have finished Archon Quest Prologue: Act III and the quest "Revelations by Chance". Then her own quest, "Witch's Revelation: Great Youkai's Instruction", unlocks Edict of Cleansing.
