Every aggregator calls the next banner date a "leak" or an "estimate". It is neither. HoYoverse has never once published a Phase II start time in advance — but it publishes the Phase I end time in a separate notice, and the two halves have handed off with a one-minute gap in every single version the game has ever shipped a second half for.
That is eleven versions out of eleven. Which means the ZZZ next banner date is not a prediction. It is arithmetic.
Quick answer: Version 3.2 Phase I ends 2026/09/30 11:59 server time. The next banner — Phase II — opens 2026/09/30 12:00 server time, one minute later, with no maintenance window. It runs until 2026/10/20 14:59 server time. Headlining it: Roxy, an S-Rank Wind Stun Agent on the Cindernight Respite Signal Search, alongside the Crimson Moon Casket W-Engine channel. Version 3.3 then starts on or about 2026/10/21, because Version 3.2 was published as a 42-day version. Your pity carries across the swap — it does not reset when the banner changes.
When exactly does the ZZZ next banner drop?
The load-bearing sentence is in HoYoverse's V3.2 Limited-Time Channels (Phase I) notice, published on September 7:
"The Agent and W-Engine Signal Search Event period is as follows: After the Version 3.2 Update – 2026/09/30 11:59 (server time)."
That 11:59 stamp is the whole clock. Phase I dies at 11:59 and Phase II opens at 12:00 the same day. There is no downtime between them, no patch, no server restart — you log in on September 30 and the channels have simply changed.
One thing almost every guide gets wrong: "server time" is not UTC and it is not UTC+8. It is your own account region's clock — America, Europe or Asia. The same 12:00 unlock happens 13 real hours apart for an Asia account versus an America account. If you are on America and you read a Chinese-language countdown built on UTC+8, you will be half a day out. Check which region your account is bound to before you set an alarm.
Which banners are live right now in Version 3.2 Phase I?
Four channels, all sharing the same September 30 end stamp. Two Agent channels and two W-Engine channels:
- Bloodmoon Rising — limited S-Rank Claret (Electric, Armorer). Her debut.
- Axiom of Captivation — limited S-Rank Nangong Yu (Ether, Stun). A rerun.
- Crimson Thirst — limited S-Rank W-Engine, Armorer.
- Neon Fantasies — limited S-Rank W-Engine, Stun.
The default A-Rank rate-ups on the Agent side are Anton (Electric, Attack) and Nicole (Ether, Support); on the W-Engine side, Drill Rig - Red Axis (Attack) and The Vault (Support). Phase I also runs S-Rank Signal Customization, where you pick six, and A-Rank Rate Up, where you pick two — so what your channel shows you is not necessarily what it shows someone else.
If you still want Claret or Nangong Yu, you have until 11:59 on September 30 and not one minute more. Our ZZZ 3.2 banner roster breaks down who is worth the pull across the whole version.
Who is on the next Zenless Zone Zero banner?
Two names are confirmed first-party, straight out of the Version 3.2 Update Announcement:
"S-Rank Agent Roxy (Wind - Stun) Can be obtained through the 'Cindernight Respite' Signal Search."
and
"S-Rank W-Engine Crimson Moon Casket (Stun) Can be obtained through the 'Crimson Moon Casket' Signal Search."
So the next banner is Roxy on Cindernight Respite, with Crimson Moon Casket as the paired W-Engine channel. Note the spelling — it is Cindernight, not Cindernite, whatever the community wikis have typed.
Roxy matters more than a normal debut for one structural reason. Parsing every limited Signal Search notice from Version 1.7 through Version 3.2 turns up exactly 33 distinct S-Rank Agents, and of those, exactly two are Wind: Velina (Wind Anomaly) and Roxy. Roxy is the first Wind Stun Agent to ever appear on a limited channel. If you have been building a Wind team since the attribute launched in Version 2.8, this is the first stunner that fits it.
The second Agent channel in the half is widely reported as a Promeia rerun on Cold Rain Wanes in the Night. That one is not in either first-party notice yet, so treat it as strong community consensus rather than confirmed until the Phase II notice publishes. We cover the case for her on the Promeia build page, and the full Roxy picture lives on the Roxy page.
How do we know Phase II opens at 12:00 and not some other time?
Because it has happened eleven times out of eleven. Pulling every Limited-Time Channels notice back to Version 1.7 and reading the actual dates gives this:
| Version | Phase I ends | Phase II opens | Phase II closes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.7 | 2025/05/14 11:59 | 2025/05/14 12:00 | 2025/06/05 14:59 |
| 2.0 | 2025/06/25 11:59 | 2025/06/25 12:00 | 2025/07/15 14:59 |
| 2.1 | 2025/08/06 11:59 | 2025/08/06 12:00 | 2025/09/03 14:59 |
| 2.2 | 2025/09/24 11:59 | 2025/09/24 12:00 | 2025/10/14 14:59 |
| 2.3 | 2025/11/05 11:59 | 2025/11/05 12:00 | 2025/11/25 14:59 |
| 2.4 | 2025/12/17 11:59 | 2025/12/17 12:00 | 2025/12/29 14:59 |
| 2.6 | 2026/03/04 11:59 | 2026/03/04 12:00 | 2026/03/23 14:59 |
| 2.7 | 2026/04/15 11:59 | 2026/04/15 12:00 | 2026/05/05 14:59 |
| 2.8 | 2026/05/27 11:59 | 2026/05/27 12:00 | 2026/06/16 14:59 |
| 3.0 | 2026/07/08 11:59 | 2026/07/08 12:00 | 2026/07/28 14:59 |
| 3.1 | 2026/08/19 11:59 | 2026/08/19 12:00 | 2026/09/08 14:59 |
| 3.2 | 2026/09/30 11:59 | 2026/09/30 12:00 (projected) | 2026/10/20 14:59 (projected) |
Two patterns, both perfect across the sample: the 11:59 to 12:00 same-day handoff, and the 14:59 close on the day before the version ends.
One honest caveat, because it is the kind of thing that gets repeated wrong: these are eleven versions, not eleven consecutive versions. Version 2.5 shipped no Phase II at all — one notice, one set of channels, no second-half Agent. So the correct phrasing is "every version that shipped a second-half channel", and the small risk on any given version is not that the time is wrong, but that there is no second half to time.
When does the next banner end, and when does Version 3.3 start?
Also first-party, from the same update announcement:
"Please note that Version 3.2 will run for 42 days, ending on 2026/10/21 06:00 (UTC+8)."
Two things fall straight out of that. Phase II closes at 2026/10/20 14:59 server time, the day before, matching all eleven prior versions. And Version 3.3 begins on or about 2026/10/21, with its Phase I channels live from the update.
Be careful with the mixed time bases here. Version lengths are published in UTC+8. Banner phases are published in server time. They are different clocks and the announcement uses both within a few paragraphs of each other. Never convert one into the other.
The 42-day figure is also not a one-off: Versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 have each run exactly 42 days. The 2.x run was messier, ranging from around 34 to 50 days. If the six-week cadence holds, Version 3.4 lands around early December.
What is the ZZZ banner schedule pattern for every future version?
You do not have to wait for a leak. HoYoverse runs a fixed promotional drumbeat before every Agent channel, and each beat is a public post with a timestamp. Here is Version 3.2's two halves side by side:
| Beat | Claret (Phase I) | Roxy (Phase II) | Lead |
|---|---|---|---|
| Character Demo | 2026-09-04 | 2026-09-25 | 5 days |
| Unarchived Agent Footage | 2026-09-04 | 2026-09-26 | 4 to 5 days |
| Agent Mechanics Intro | 2026-09-06 | 2026-09-27 | 3 days |
| Limited-Time Channels notice | 2026-09-07 | due about 2026-09-28 | 2 days |
| Channel opens | 2026-09-09 | 2026-09-30 | — |
The Character Demo is the strongest signal: for six consecutive Agent channels — Starlight-Billy, Velina, Norma, Remielle, Sigrid and Claret — it has posted at 12:00 exactly five days before that Agent's channel went live. Roxy's demo posted on September 25. Five days later is September 30, which independently corroborates the handoff table above.
The Limited-Time Channels notice is the confirmation beat: it has published two days before the switch in nine of the last ten versions, with Version 2.4 the lone one-day exception. Roxy's Agent Mechanics Intro went up today, September 27, which puts the Phase II notice squarely on schedule for tomorrow.
Do not extend the demo streak backwards, though. Promeia's demo was four days ahead, not five, and the spacing before Starlight-Billy wobbles between 19 and 22 days. The clean run starts at Billy.
Does pity carry over to the next banner?
Yes, on the Agent side. This is spelled out in the Phase I notice:
"The search count for guaranteed signals is cumulative across all Exclusive Channels, but is independent of and unaffected by other types of channels."
Read that carefully, because it says two separate things. Your Exclusive (limited Agent) Signal Search count carries across every limited Agent channel, including through a Phase I to Phase II swap and through a version change. But it is completely separate from your W-Engine channel count and from the Stable Channel. Sinking 40 pulls into Crimson Thirst does nothing for your Roxy odds.
The in-game channel UI states the guarantees plainly: an A-Rank or higher Signal is guaranteed within 10 Searches, and an S-Rank Signal within 90 Searches. Our ZZZ pity system breakdown goes through every channel's real numbers, including the guarantee rules that differ between them.
The practical upshot is the thing most new players get wrong: there is no reason to stop pulling on Phase I "to save pity" for Phase II. The counter does not reset. If you want Claret, pull Claret. What you are actually budgeting is Polychrome, not pity.
Should you save for the next banner or pull now?
The honest framing is that saving is only free if you genuinely do not want anyone in Phase I. Some rough guidance:
- You want a Wind team. Save. Roxy is the only Wind Stun Agent to ever hit a limited channel, and the next one is unknowable.
- You want Claret or Nangong Yu. Pull now. September 30 at 11:59 is a hard wall and Nangong Yu is already on a rerun cycle measured in seasons.
- You are unsure and low on Polychrome. Save. Phase II gives you three more weeks of events to bank income.
- You are chasing a W-Engine. Remember it is a separate counter with its own budget. Decide that one independently of the Agent channel.
The community's own rule of thumb, repeated constantly in pull-advice threads, is new Agent first, then W-Engines, then Mindscapes — and that the signature W-Engine is a premium, not a requirement. Most Agents are entirely viable on a craftable or off-set option.

Frequently asked questions
When is the next ZZZ banner? Version 3.2 Phase II opens 2026/09/30 at 12:00 server time, one minute after Phase I ends at 11:59. The confirming notice is expected around September 28.
Who is on the next ZZZ banner? Roxy (S-Rank, Wind, Stun) on the Cindernight Respite Signal Search, plus the Crimson Moon Casket W-Engine channel — both confirmed in the Version 3.2 update announcement. A Promeia rerun is widely expected on the same half but is not yet in a first-party notice.
Does ZZZ pity reset between banners? No. HoYoverse states the guaranteed-signal count is cumulative across all Exclusive Channels. It resets only relative to other channel types — W-Engine and Stable counts are tracked separately.
When does the current ZZZ banner end? Bloodmoon Rising, Axiom of Captivation, Crimson Thirst and Neon Fantasies all end at 2026/09/30 11:59 server time.
When does ZZZ Version 3.3 come out? Version 3.2 was announced as a 42-day version ending 2026/10/21 06:00 (UTC+8), so 3.3 should begin on or about October 21, 2026.
Is server time the same as UTC+8? No. Banner phase times are printed in server time, meaning your account's America, Europe or Asia region clock — up to 13 hours apart. Version length is printed in UTC+8. The two are never interchangeable.
How can I predict future ZZZ banners myself? Watch the HoYoLAB post feed. The Character Demo has landed exactly five days before its Agent's channel for six straight versions, the Agent Mechanics Intro about three days out, and the Limited-Time Channels notice two days out. See the confirmed lineup on our upcoming ZZZ characters page.
Last updated 2026-09-27. Phase II timings are derived from HoYoverse's published Phase I end stamp plus an eleven-for-eleven handoff pattern; this page will be updated the moment the Version 3.2 Phase II notice publishes.
