Primeval Skyfriend is the mount that drops from Mythic Ula'tek, the final boss of The Venomous Abyss and the encounter that names patch 12.1, “Curse of Ula'tek”. 3 drop per kill, which is why a Mythic Ula'tek mount seat is bookable at all: a run that kills the boss has three mounts to hand out. A mount-priority seat at timesaver.gg starts at $449.10, and every kill happens on the hardest difficulty in the game, so it comes with 344 item level loot attached.
What's included
Every order is a seat in a Mythic Ula'tek kill with priority on the 3 Primeval Skyfriend mounts that drop from it.
- A Mythic Ula'tek kill, with Primeval Skyfriend priority;
- Cutting Edge: Ula'tek eligibility — the kill awards it while Season 2 is running;
- Access to 344 item level loot, the Season 2 maximum;
- A shot at the raid's best trinket, Font of Venomous Rage, which drops from Ula'tek;
- Myth Mistcrests from the Mythic kill;
- Self-play by default, piloted at the same price, remote self-play for 30 % more.
How the Mythic Ula'tek mount run works
The run is one Mythic kill of Ula'tek, scheduled into a full Mythic team.
- You book a seat and pick self-play or piloted, plus how many kills you want across lockouts.
- Your character is slotted into a Mythic Venomous Abyss group that is already progressed to the final boss.
- Ula'tek is killed — venom waves, eggs, and a safe space that shrinks as the fight runs long.
- The 3 mounts that drop are distributed with your order holding priority.
Mythic Ula'tek is the hardest single encounter in patch 12.1, and it is the only source of this mount. The two encounters before it — The Coiled Altar and Ula'tek itself — are also the only bosses in the season that drop 344 gear.
Loot and item level
Mythic Ula'tek drops item level 344, the highest gear the season pays anywhere.
The rest of Mythic Venomous Abyss drops 318 to 324, and the Great Vault pays 334 from Mythic clears, or 344 when the row comes from the last two bosses. Ula'tek is also the raid's omni-token boss for the Tier 36 class set, and it drops Font of Venomous Rage, the on-use Versatility trinket that is best-in-slot for Havoc Demon Hunter, Retribution Paladin, Devourer Demon Hunter and Guardian Druid. Kills bank Myth Mistcrests, the only crest that upgrades the Myth track to 334.
Options explained
Three settings decide the price: what you want out of the kill, how many kills, and how it is played.
- Mount-priority seat — the cheapest route to Primeval Skyfriend, mount priority only;
- Mount + loot priority — the mount plus first claim on the 344 gear the boss drops;
- Number of kills — 1 to 8, one per lockout, for repeat mount attempts across weeks;
- Speed — Standard, Express (+20 %) or Super Express (+40 %).
If you want the full Mythic clear rather than the last boss, the Mythic Venomous Abyss run covers all 8 bosses.
Self-play, piloted or remote
Self-play is the default, and piloted costs the same.
Self-play puts you in the raid on your own character; on a Mythic kill this means you need to hold your own on mechanics, and our raid leader calls the fight. Piloted hands your character to a Mythic raider for the kill, which is the usual choice here because the encounter is unforgiving. Self-play remote adds 30 % and runs your own client through remote-desktop software.
Requirements
You need a level 90 character and a character not already saved to Mythic Ula'tek this lockout.
There is no attunement for Mythic Venomous Abyss, but Mythic raiding is single-lockout: one kill per character per week, which is why multi-kill orders run across several resets. Weekly reset is Tuesday 15:00 UTC in US and OCE and Wednesday 04:00 UTC in EU. On self-play we expect a character geared and specced for Mythic; on piloted we do not. PC only, EU and NA.
How long it takes
A booked kill is one raid night, and mount attempts are limited to 1 per lockout because Mythic is saved per character.
Scheduling is the real variable: Mythic Ula'tek kills are run by full 20-player teams on their own progression calendar, so your seat is assigned to the next kill night that fits, not to an arbitrary hour. Express and Super Express prioritise your order in that queue. If the mount does not come to you on the first kill, add lockouts — each one is a fresh set of 3 drops.
